She walks over to Tom. I'm done. Are you staying or going?

"Well, I'm..." glancing between Katara to her Ben-shaped shadow. "I was thinking of staying the next round."

[Turning on her heel to just leave. Why she even came tonight, she has no idea.]

[oh Tom. Tom you should know better. Ben just gives him a quick little salute with his fingers before he follows after Katara]

[ And thus Katara was spared a short-lived flirtation with an orange dude named Tom.

When she realizes Ben is still following her to the exit, she glances over her shoulder at him. ]

Why are you following me?

I'm done for the day.

[he gives a shrug and nods towards the exit] And that's the way out.

[ She glances at him and huffs, but she slows down enough so that he can walk beside her instead of behind her if he likes. ]

[look he knows now to mess with angry ladies. But he will walk next to her when she slows down]

[She walks in silence for a little bit and then glances up at him.]

Is this all you've been doing on this system?

[he shakes his head, freeing a hand to gesture as he talks]

Nope, I've been busy. Bought parts, bought a replacement arm just in case mine does get broken - told you I'm not stupid - met up with a few people missing parts and offered some sage advice -

[ She rolls her eyes. ]

[ Grumbling: ] So is hot yoga. Or running. Or watercolor. And they all involve less blunt for trauma.

I go running, actually. Again, not every day, but a couple of times a week. [...] Watercolor is for people with some bit of skill, not me.

[ She gives him a sidelong glance. ] Have you ever tried using watercolors?

I'm not. [She's not sure he even knows he NEEDS to. She's pretty sure he thinks his artwork is great and just misunderstood.

She gives an exasperated sigh.] Ben, getting hit on the head repeatedly is really dumb.

[She just needs to clarify that.]

Then maybe he's a starving artist, I don't freakin' know.

[he can't help but roll his eyes] Benefits outweigh the cons, kiddo. Trust me when I say that.

[ SIGH. ] You would say that.

[ Probably because you're already suffering from blunt force trauma. Bah. ]

I really don't want to argue with you about this anymore. You're a grown man, you're able to make your own choices.

[ EVEN IF THEY'RE DUMB ONES. ]

We're not arguing, we're discussing. [there's no raised voices come on now] It's the healthier option anyway, out of all the rest of the vices I could indulge in.

[She raises her hand to pinch the bridge of her nose for a moment.] You know that saying 'this is the least worst thing that I could be doing' isn't much of an argument. You're still acknowledging that it's one of the worst things you could be doing.
