Look, Ben, we are just not going to agree on this. You can tell me that you're making a rational decision, that stepping into a ring and getting beat up and beating someone up is good for you all you want. Yeah, well, I've had two near death experiences in my life and I'm not too keen on going for the hat trick, you know?

[ She sighs and rolls her eyes, stifling a smile. ]

So what else have you been up to?

I pop it out to gross people out with it too.

Not much, honestly. I've been doing the trivia stuff, but I don't know much about alien planets.

[ Yes, and you are very good at grossing people out, that eye trick was... something.

Anyway, she makes a face. ]

Yeah, I went to one of those. They were mostly based on team trivia. It was pretty boring.

[ She hasn't been back. ] I've been spending a lot of time by the ocean.

[privateeyed]

Oh, you got the team one. Lucky.

[he was not so luck. He makes a "hmm" noise and nods]

I walked by the ocean a few times. Mostly just been hanging out in open areas. There's a few places not so crowded. It's nice.

It is. I haven't really been back to the ship, except for a few times to check and see if things are alright. [ She points at a hotel a few blocks away. ] I'm staying there tonight.

[privateeyed]

[he turns to look, eyebrows raising] Yeah? Big spender. [he's teasing] I go back at night. Not much of a hotel guy.

They gave me a lot of money, [ a bit of disgust in her tone]. I figured it was better to spend it before they decided to take it back, or not give it to me in the future.

[ She shrugs. ] Besides, it's easy enough to make money on these planets.

Yeah, that's true enough. Might as well treat yourself if they're just gonna give it away, I guess.
