Have you ever seen a camera? [Not mocking, he's genuinely curious, having met a few people from the fleet already who didn't know how photography worked.

He moves in closer so he can show her a better view of his camera.]

[She eyes the camera and looks back up at him, obviously not sure of it.]

We don't have those on my world. [Pegasi, griffons, magic, crazy fell dragons, and zombies sure are on her planet. Cameras? Not a chance.] But is it somewhat like the devices we use?

Mmmm... Kinda. But this can only take pictures. Like so! [He points it at a building nearby and presses the button. The shutter snaps and the flash ... flashes. Then he turns the viewscreen toward her so she can see a preview of the photo.]

[Watches him and has to blink at the sudden light before leaning over to view the tiny screen. On it is a perfect replica of the beautiful building.]

Oh. What do you do with it after you capture the image?

Depends. The ones I really like get printed. Or I save them on memory cards. If they're crap, they get deleted. I've been selling some of them.

[For now, he just exits out and goes back to photo-mode. ]

You print them? How?

[She watches him as he pushes a few buttons on the camera and then looks back at her.]

I apologize for asking so many questions. We have no such technology on my world. I'm wondering at the implications of having it there as well.

Don't worry about it. I don't mind questions I can answer!

[He flashes a grin.]

I print them with a ... printer. Uh, it's a machine with colored inks that lets you transfer images onto paper. And writing too, I guess. [He hasn't used his for text, however.]

We have printing presses in Ylisse. Is it similar to that?

[Only about 500 years behind, Lucina.]

Uuuh. K-kinda? More advanced though. And faster. [He assumes. He's never actually seen a printing press outside of that one documentary he forced himself to watch because he was bored and couldn't find the remote. Ancient stuff, man.] I can show you sometime!

I would like to see that very much.

[It's hard to find new technology when your world is ending because zombie dragon gods and crazy grandfathers and all that crap.]

So, do you find it more enjoyable to use that camera instead of the devices to capture the scenery here?

Awesome! We'll plan for that then.

[And he's going to be moving all his crap to the Iskaulit to set up a photo studio, so that will be convenient.]

The devices are okay, but a camera has a lot more options, more variety. And it feels different, more ... more real. I don't really know how to describe it.

[So long as he doesn't take her picture without her consent, she's fine with anything Prompto wants to show her. He seems like a rather kind, sweet man.

In fact, he sort of reminds her a bit of Ricken, if she's honest.]

You enjoy using it. You're used to it. It makes sense that you would prefer something you have more experience using over something you've only been given since your arrival here.

[Because the way he talks about that camera there's no way that he just picked it up recently.]

So, I imagine that this system has given you a great deal of material to work with. Have you found a subject that you like more than others?

[No surprise photos. Doable.]

Yeah... Yeah! That's right.

[He and this camera have been through so much together. Nothing compares.]

Surprisingly, I've really liked covering the sports! Which is good, 'cause there's a lot of them here. Love getting those action shots!

[Well, she'd hate to have to break the camera of a person she's just met.]

I would imagine so. If only it were possible to have wyvern racing immortalized like that.

[Or her parents. Yes, she'd love to have a picture of her parents being all lovey-dovey and perfect.]

Have you taken stills of the performances? An acquaintance of mine was involved and... It would be nice if someone were to get a "photo" of her singing.

... Why would you race a wyvern?

[Mean scaly lizard monsters. No thanks.

He nods.]

Yep! Mostly. My girlfriend sang in one of the contests, so I got some shots of her. I picked a few others, though. I might have got one of your friend.

Why wouldn't you? They're fast, powerful and wonderful companions if you can tame them.

[She's seen proof with the way that Cherche and Gerome have dealt with Minerva over the years.]

Your girlfriend is a singer as well? Are there many singers on the Fleet then?

[He gives her a dubious look.]

I think I would prefer your wyverns.

[He beams and nods.]

She is! One of the best! I don't ... really know any other singers on the fleet. I'm sure there must be though!

I don't think they'll be coming here any time soon. Or the griffons or pegasi. It would be nice for me, but a little cruel for them unless we were on a planet like this all of the time.

[She pauses, curious.]

What are they like on your world?

Also, do you have a picture of her right now? I would like to show it to my friend and see if she knows her.

Big, mean, nasty, lizards, is what they are.

[He's probably got a photo of one in his archives somewhere, but he scrolls to a picture of Kaname on stage.]

There are some in the wild like that, but the ones that are part of our corps are at least a little civilized. I know that Cherche has had her Minerva her whole life.

[Gerome too, but that's neither here nor there.

When Prompto gets to the picture of Kaname, Lucina lets out a little laugh.]

That's Kaname. That's the friend I mentioned. I suppose she already knows herself, yes?

Huh.

[He doesn't know what else to say to that. He can't really imagine the wyverns he's seen being tamed.]

Oh! [He laughs as well.] I guess that makes it easier.

[Prompto, come to Ylisse. It's great. With the Risen and Grimleal and Walhart. It's the best.]

I suppose it does! She's really rather talented. I feel a little envious.

Yeah... [His smile turns a little dopey.] She's great.

[Lucina chuckles a little under her breath. She's seen that same sort of reaction one too many times to discredit it.]

I would say you're biased, but I happen to like her as well.

I am biased. [He knows he's completely smitten.] But she's pretty great without my saying so.
