[Damn, that's some fine tattoo work, son. It's a beach, so of course Nami's at it, though her her usual bouncy mood isn't quite as bouncy. Blame Sam and his stupid absence. She approaches while Zack is making the reactor, towel over her shoulders and wringing her hair out from the salt water.]

Nope! It's a mako reactor. Though I guess they look kinda castle-y if you make them out of sand.

Nah, there was a tattoo shop in town. They were professional about the design- I guess even super-fans have lines they don't wanna cross. Though they did try to get me to buy a few t-shirts.

Ah, the pattern's kinda meaningless. I had a guy at the shop help me figure it out, something that'd follow a decent path.

They're all Aerith's flowers, though, so that bit's important.

[...oh. Her expression softens as she realises what lies underneath. Guess the work being undone might be the least of his worries if he goes home, huh...? Unless mako gives you a ridiculous healing factor as well.

Yeah, back home. She had a whole pile of them growing in her church, and even around her house. Midgar's a dirt heap of a city, nothing grows anywhere except where she hung out.

[She's amazing like that. Can you hear the gushing affection in his voice?]

Has she tried growing any here? I know there's no sunlight in space, but she sounds like a miracle worker.

I've seen a couple shops I can direct you to! I'm no miracle worker, but I grew up in an orchard and I keep a vegetable garden, so I've already done the rounds.

Ahhh, y'know- big, fluffy, yellow? Cloud told you about chocobos, right?

He has not. [Though now she's very amused.] That explains a lot, though. I mean, I assumed Biri reminded him of something or someone back home. Chocobo-butt hair, huh.

Oh, wow! Shame on all of us, then. I was thinking Biri reminded me of a demented-lookin' chocobo from day 1.

[He spreads his hand over the sand below, making a flat surface so he can use a stick to draw a very basic, cartoony doodle of a chocobo.]

They're like big fluffy chickens, but real cute, and you can ride 'em when they're full grown. There's a few that come in different colours, and they can do rad stuff like walk on water, but those are more rare. Most of them are a bright yellow.

Oh, huh. No wonder Cloud took to Biri so thoroughly. [He was making little kweh noises and everything.] He's a one of a kind in our world-- a hybrid some mad scientist decided to create and then abandon, more or less. Back home, he's big enough you could fly him.

I'm sort of glad he's not as big here, though. He doesn't have enough room to move as it is.
