[It's not pretty. Granted, Manji's style has never been one heavily focused on grace and he's not completely unbalanced as this isn't the first time he's fought with a missing limb. Still, to a trained eye like Makie's it should be clear that Manji hasn't exactly mastered fighting with the missing weight of his left arm yet.

Of course the guy just had to shoot him in his good shoulder. So now not only was he missing an arm, but now it hurt to swing his right arm until the worms do their job and reconnect the muscles there. It's enough to freak his attacker out. Manji takes the distraction as a chance to knock the weapon out of his hand.

The gun skids across on the ground until it comes to a stop under Manji's foot. He rests his katana across his shoulders as he raises a brow questioningly at his attacker.] Well? [After seeing Manji shrug off the gunshot and now without his weapon the man turns tail and runs away. Manji scoffs as he returns his blade to it's sheath.] Stupid idiot. [Muttered as he bends over to scoop up his prize. If only stupidity was the same as being evil, but even Manji knew it wasn't.]

This Shira wasn't one of ours, I assume. [Because, well, yes, Itto-Ryu were dropping like flies to Manji, but she's never met him. Something puts her in mind of Magatsu, though... did he mention the name?]

[He takes a moment to consider that answer.] I think Shira would fall under: complicated. He was Mugai-Ryu when I first met him, but I'm not so sure if he still is. He's a bit like me in that way. Does what he wants.

At least none of his team seem to care much for him these days.
