[Cyril had joined the Brightbirds as well, and it seemed the fashion designer here had put effort into finding people with tattoos and sticking them in brightly colored outfits. He sees Felix during the show, but when they are modeling they don't have a lot of time to talk.

It's during the aftershow, when Cyril finally has time to say something to him. His voice is low, because he doesn't desire to offend anyone. He's really only trying to tease someone he has seen around on the Fleet who joined the same event that he did.]

How is it that they put you in those shoes, and not me? I feel as if I would be the one to benefit from some extra inches.

[He is a rather small elf, after all. And has nothing close to Felix's natural height.

Honestly, he's surprised the Brightbirds had even wanted him for this. Models tended to be tall, and the new prosthetic he wore to replace his missing arm was very visible with the outfit he had been placed in. He loved it though, despite all of that. He always enjoyed being in the spotlight.]

[Felix chuckles lightly and pitches his voice back in a similar tone, clearly a master of speaking sotto voce at parties and hiding it from ears he wouldn't want to be witness]

Darling, I wish they hadn't and I would trade you the dreadful things if I could.

But...[he pauses to sip his champagne and rotate an ankle with a wince]...it seems to be all about extremes. It wouldn't be nearly as visually striking to make us all the same height. Instead, why not accentuate what you have, hm?

[Cyril looks over Felix's legs and body, checking him out openly.]

Yes, and you do have quite a bit that is worth accentuating.

[Felix doesn't seem to mind this one bit, smiling broadly at the compliment and giving one long leg a bounce]

Why thank you. I could say the same of you~

[He's treated to a more subtle, but no less open appraisal of his feature, though his eyes linger for a moment or two longer on the ears]

But I suppose that's why we've both been recruited.

I have noticed they tend to choose aesthetically pleasing models, it's true.

It makes backstage all the more fun.

[Felix, who takes pain to change behind screens, quietly tenses at that thought. He may enjoy the attention on the runway, but he still hates having his scars bared to just anyone.

However, he gives Cyril a thin smile]

I think it's a bit too hectic back there to really appreciate anything properly.

[This seems like a perfect chance to shift the topic a little] Speaking of which...I don't think we've been properly introduced.

[Cyril hadn't meant to imply peeking, but more that a lot of this show was stand around and wait until the hectic moments before you're on, and that that time was spent around beautiful people. That and he liked his makeup crew.

He can see how what he said could be taken that way, and lets Felix change the subject without fuss.]

I am from Thedas.

There are a few of us running around the Fleet. Have you met any others from Thedas?

I have, yes. [It was the ears, though he was attempting not to assume that all elves looked the same, though there was a certain look to the Thedan variety he was beginning to be able to identify]

Your people are a favorite of Atroma's lately, it seems.

I've noticed that myself. We even had a decent collection of elves.

[He chuckles lightly] Another popular group. To be frank, I'm intrigued by the different types of elf-folk I've encountered over the years. Humans are by and large very similar, ideology and culture not withstanding, but elves seem to vary even more widely. I wonder why that is.
