All this shifting sand about has unearthed an amount of sea shells, easily scoured clean with the barest amount of magical effort. While she seems uninterested in them at first, mostly settling them into a pile to the side as she works, eventually she turns her attention toward arranging them around her cleared sand area, some glittering just by catching the light of the sun in the right way, or taking on a glow from the energy used to set them in place.
... it's... constructive, while she works through her thoughts.]

Somehow he hadn't pictured as a "play with shells" sort of person but then again he had never pictured himself as a "walking on the beach" sort of person. Probably because the situation had never allowed it.
Then again, he also hadn't pictured himself here and trying to observe what she was doing...]

For the moment, however, she seems marginally preoccupied with her handiwork, swapping some shells here and there, although by this point, she's picked up on that sensation of being watched, as she's not so relaxed as to lay down her guard completely, and is subtly glancing for the source of it, but as it's not actively disrupting her and it's not as if she's really doing anything, she's not about to go challenging it, either.
Peaceful spots were often those found and exploited by others; she wouldn't be surprised if that were to happen at some point.]

He might have tried to move in closer to see if he could see more, but she had apparently realized at this point she was being watched because she kept glancing around for the watcher. This prompted him to stay further back and try to stay in a spot where she might be less likely to look for him. Of course she was unpredictable so it was hard to say that she wouldn't just turn around to look for him.
But she wasn't doing anything so there was no reason to disturb her. He did feel confident enough that he did glance back himself to see if there was anyone else around. This was a nice spot and it was quiet]

... Because honestly she hasn't really observed one like this before especially in the span of so many years. It was... different... and the sound was something else too, especially so far removed from the din of the crowds.
If nothing else serves to grab her attention in any way she'll just mostly be doing that for the next while, ever so often polishing up her little structure with an adjustment here and there.]

She did eventually stop looking for whoever was watching her, but he wasn't going to attempt to move closer. Even from that distance she had realized she wasn't alone enough to look. That may have been interesting information.
The rest of this... was not. She was pretty much just playing with rocks and shells on the beach as far as he could tell. There was nothing to indicate otherwise so it didn't warrant him getting closer or even going into detail with the paladins. So after a few more moments, he would start to continue his path across the sands]
