[Gil chuckles gently.] A real oversight on my part, considering that I always have way more fun when you're around.

But, hey, we've found each other anyway. And look at you, as nice as sight as ever.

Indeed we have. [ Dorian laughs, approaching Gil and closing the distance. Not quite brushing chests, just.. close. They really have no reason to shout at one another from feet away. ] How could I not with a decent climate and a spec of humidity?

You look like a man on a quest with all that dashing bravado.

I was hoping they'd have drinks with little umbrellas in them.

Then we simply cannot rest until we've found what you seek. Drinks with little umbrellas in them, it shall be.

[ He falls into place at Gil's side, allowing him to take the lead on their little mission that will hopefully end with a pleasant sort of drunkenness. ]

They may not even exist here, you know. Different folks and all that.

That sounds as if you've quit before we've even started. We simply must stop at every bar between here and the end of the shore.

Oh. What a sacrifice. But I suppose we should do whatever we can to end this quest.

Some sacrifices are meant to be made. I will nobly submit myself to the cause despite the inevitable.

[It really is far too easy flirt with Dorian, as always. He moves to find the nearest bar for them to raid.]

You'd be quite the fool if you weren't.

[ Gil's presence is so easy to be in, he makes Dorian feel special. He's also insufferable with his terrible jokes and bravado, but that's part of why he's here in the first place, isn't it? Once they enter the bar, Dorian orders something that sounds both fruity and entirely overpriced. ]

Shall we place bets now as to the existence of these little umbrellas?

Oh I know they exist. It's just a question of if they exist here.

For something so incredibly simple, you would assume that they do- especially if I'm led to believe that they are a large part of the tourist niche.

That's sort of a crazy thing, though, if you think about it. Culture isn't supposed to be the same everywhere. And yet....

It's rather bizarre that they align, isn't it? Perhaps not from planet-to-planet, but eventually they cater to their visitors and not their own cultures.

Earth was getting to be a bit like that, back home. With all the aliens. But at least those are aliens we're connected through politics and relationships. Here it's.... kind of like Disneyland. All approximate. Not that I've ever been to Disneyland.

Or that you even know what Disneyland is.

I'm afraid you'll have to enlighten me as to what a 'Disneyland' is.

[ It doesn't sound particularly delightful, whatever it is. ]

The mingling of races is what's missing. There are very few of the ones that we've seen in the past. We seem to run into much of the same.

Exactly. It's weird.

Also... Disneyland. It's a theme park. A place of amusement. Families go there to to ride rides, watch shows, and spend way too much on a pretzel in the shape of their favorite character.
