[Hey, hey, look, we have a new system! Let's go compete in stuff and root for sportsball teams! System info is here!

Velvet Crowe | OTA
[Velvet likes that this planet has more trees and such than some of the other bustling metropolis type planets she's seen since joining the fleet. However, she is completely unimpressed with all this team bullshit. When browsing the shops she checks out the weapons first, of course. But she quickly rejects them because they seem less like weapons and more like souvenirs.
She decides to check out cooking and cleaning supplies next. If she thought they couldn't turn pots and pans or mops and brooms into team memorabilia she was sadly mistaken. She's staring a display of purple and red frying pans and sighing.]
Are they serious?
B. Sketchy business
[She gets bored with the shopping pretty quickly and decides to focus on earning money rather than spending it. Since she has no interest in competing, commentating or marketing, and she has no talent for selling things, she looks for security jobs. She ends up taking occasional jobs for an underground gambling ring of sorts. You might find her breaking up fights or throwing people out for cheating. Or maybe you're the one she tossed out.]
If you want to cheat, don't get caught.
C. Wildcard
[Have another idea? Feel free to hit me up.]
A;;
He's on the hunt for some spare parts for the ship when he spots Velvet, giving some cook wear the stink eye. ]
Maybe they just really want to support their team in every part of their life?
no subject
She huffs a little.]
It sure seems that way. I don't see the point.

[ It wouldn't take long to get them beaten up on the Red Fish. ]

[She glances at him.]
Are you looking for anything in particular?

[Creepy and sad, really.]
At least we can find jobs here, I guess.

A
[It reminds Aang of all the Hunger Games merchandise they would sell in the Capitol, except people volunteer to play in these games and no one dies. He prefers this, honestly.
But now that Aang has begun tentatively believing that this miiiiiight not be an arena, he's started exploring more and started to put some hesitant trust in others. He's already bought a stack of various team-themed stickers, half of which he's put on his face.]
Hey, Velvet, do I fit in yet? [He gives her a big, goofy smile, face glittering with stickers, hoping to get at least a grin out of her.]
no subject
Aren't you supposed to just choose one team?
no subject
I don't like leaving people out.
[Aang is armed with more stickers. He holds out a sticker pad covered in various team stickers.]
What's your favorite color? [Let him guess: black.]
no subject
[She takes a look at the stickers he’s holding and then at the display of frying pans.]
Except when it’s paired with purple.
no subject
[Aang looks down at his stickers, carefully picking the red and purple ones and tearing them along the color divides until he has a bunch of weirdly shaped red stickers.
Then, he does something he might have never done since coming here. He actually gets within arm's length of Velvet. Specifically so that he can put a bunch of stickers on her arm.]
There you go!
no subject
People might think I actually care about these teams.
[Or maybe not considering how all these stickers are torn up.]
no subject
[There is some method to his madness. There's a pattern to how he puts the stickers on her arm, almost like he's giving her wide-set scales that shine red. Then he steps back to admire his work.]
It goes with your dress.
no subject
[At least it doesn’t clash. She glances down at her arm again as he steps back.]
More art, huh?

[Does she want to know? She's not sure she wants to know. But she's asking anyway.]

That was a more direct answer than I was expecting. Still kind of vague, though.
