[There is some method to his madness. There's a pattern to how he puts the stickers on her arm, almost like he's giving her wide-set scales that shine red. Then he steps back to admire his work.]

Aren't I pretty enough for any kind of sticker? [He can't even keep a straight face through that, laughing midway through his sentence as he slaps an especially sparkly sticker onto his nose for emphasis.]

You seem to be feeling better, though. You settling in?

Sorta. [His smile falters, but he quickly turns his focus back on the stickers. He's putting them on his arms now.] I'm not dead yet, so this can't be being broadcasted to the Districts, whatever it is. The Capitol would've killed me for sure by now if it was. And also probably everyone I ever cared about.

So either the Capitol doesn't have all the control, or they're looking for something other than entertainment. [Which is... not a reassuring thought, honestly, even knowing what they consider entertainment to be.] But I can't just wait around being miserable. I can only hide for like a week before I start getting really bored. Two weeks max.

[So he does what he does best: bury all his negative feelings to avoid dealing with them.]

[She watches him for a moment, then decides to let the matter drop since he still seems uneasy about it. She shrugs a bit, focusing on a different topic.]

Yeah, I don't like being cooped up either. It's why I hate drift weeks.

The closest you get to nature is in the Iskaulit. I hate being cooped up, and then we're cooped up in metal ships in the middle of space on top of it.

Yeah, I think that's why Edna made that mountain. The garden is nice, too.

[Not that she spends a ton of time in either place since she doesn't want to corrupt any of it with all the Malevolence she carries around. But she appreciates that they're there.]
