That's a little more difficult to explain? Alexandria had people in it when we got there. Most places are pretty abandoned by actual people. The walkers have everything else.

That happens where you're from, too?

Anyone who dies or is bitten, yeah. It evolved at some point and we don't know why. It used to be only when bitten or scratched, but it chsnged suddenly. Then it was anyone who died and had an attached brain. Not sure why.

Yeah.. Didn't used to be that way. Dunno what changed, but I doubt there are people around to work on it anymore.
