[As if she'd be late. Or, you know, not make a completely over the top entrance. She'd even arranged a local taxi to fly her in, and she stepped over the side to drop down into the snow completely armored up and ready to go.

If looking just a little displeased.]

[Honestly if it sounds like pre-match trash talk to Sokka, that's because it kind of is. If that Starstriker's insignia she's wearing over her armor is any indication, anyway.

She may or may not have convinced them to make marriage a sport here and she's gotta win one for her favorite team. Plus she wins even if she loses, so honestly this behavior should have really been expected.]

[Honestly he could probably just accept the fact she offered any warning at all as a sign of just how much she favors him. Anyone else? They probably wouldn't get one.

Not that it translates to giving him time to prepare though, she's already leaping straight for him with that warhammer held high overhead.]

[Some other guy might shy away from a threat like that. But Sokka is enough of the right combination of crazy and ballsy that he just finds it endearing. He grins. ]

I wouldn't expect any different~

[And then she's leaping at him. He has just enough time to wonder at his life choices, before he has to do a quick roll to the side to avoid getting snacked in the skull with a warhammer. He lands on his feet, pulling out his sword with a laugh. ]

Consider me prepared.

[She'd have probably held off anything too forceful if he hadn't moved. Probably. But since he had, that swing keeps going and kicks up an explosion of snow as it fissures the frozen ground beneath it. Something Looma's absolutely not pleased about because she was already cold, and now she's cold and wet, but it does at least mean he might have difficulty guarding against the follow-up.

If he was hoping she'd be a more sluggish opponent due to her size, he was in for a rude awakening. Much of the snow hadn't even settled back down before she was already storming out after him, angling that warhammer for his chest with an upward swing.]

[He realises pissing her off really WASN'T a clever battle strategy, but hey, he can still make this work. Probably. He hopes. He knows he has zero chance of actually blocking her warhammer. Even with Space Sword, he's pretty sure it would take the brunt of that impact.

He makes a leap to the side, judging a snow bank - working out if it could take his weight or not in a matter of seconds- he thinks it can, and he's right. Getting what would be a height advantage on some but just equalises it between her and him, he makes a leap for her, bringing the sword with a downward swing towards her. ]

Since I don't think he ever actually told her about the meteor sword >> ...

[Her swing misses, and presents her with something of a problem- she could try to block his counterattack, but bringing the hammer back around to do so would force her to actually fight defensively for once. Nor did she have any reason to consider simply getting out of the way. So, naturally, she opted for the option that under normal circumstances would be perfectly safe. It just isn't this time.

Rather than use the hammer, she takes one hand off it in order to block his swing with her upper left arm- and regrets it pretty much immediately, letting out a sharp cry in pain as the blade actually does do its job. She may not be in any danger of losing the arm, but having a sword slice nearly an inch into the forearm is a problem even for her. And her surprise at actually being injured is enough to ensure that when she swings the hammer back around toward his side, her aim isn't quite what it should be. Even if it did connect while he was momentarily exposed, she was much more liable to strike him with the shaft than the business end.

Either way, it'd give her some breathing room while she tried to shut out the stinging pain from the gash in her arm. The bleeding she could deal with later, assuming the cold didn't end up addressing that problem for her.]

[He was honestly expecting her to dodge the sword, because that's what a sensible person would do. Of course, he'd forgotten that Loom isn't a sensible person, and lo, the sword goes into her arm. It's his distraction in her getting actually hurt that means he gets hit with the shaft of the hammer.

He lets out a soft oof, rolling out of the way to catch his breath. He flashes her an apologetic look, but is smart enough to not actually apologise. She'd probably take it as an insult. He even considers asking her if she wants to get it looked at, but he doubts time outs are allowed in these sorts of things. Regardless, he catches his breath, waiting for her to make the next move. ]
