[Alistair has noticed the two Inquisitors running around with new arms but he's learned a bit of sensitivity along the way. So, he's not blurting out that it's surprising or that they look good.

Even if he's thinking it.

And, well, he likes a lot of sports. He's always excelled at them. So, an entire system dedicated to the joy of sports is like his thing. And while he's partial to swords, he's decent with bows and crossbows. (He'll never be Leliana, but he doesn't have to be her to be in this competition.)

When he spots the elf, Alistair goes over to make conversation while they wait.]

So, are all rogues archers or just all the ones I know?

[Not that Zevran really used bows all that much, but it appears to be a very common theme.]

Although, dual wielding lends to ambidextrousness which has many other wonderful uses.

[Alistair, for what it's worth, just laughs and adjusts his hold on the bow he's holding.]

Well, rogues aren't the only ones that can use two weapons, you know. And I've never had any complaints about my... handling, as it were.

[Cyril doesn't even try to hide how he sizes Alistair up. He can just imagine how Josephine would handle him checking out the King of Ferelden but... well... here they are.]

[Alistair, for his part, notices and sort of shuffles his feet awkwardly. He's walked right into this and now he's stuck here. Besides, everyone on the Fleet knows that he's extremely married to Riona and is "boringly" devoted to her.]

I... agree. The lack of ogres—and Darkspawn in general—is welcome. Maybe I should just find a really big animal and we can all go out as a group to watch Riona murder things.

Oh we need to do that. If only so I can watch how well you lot work with my lot. Er, I mean the Inquisition's lot.

Plus killing big animals is always fun. Maybe we can find a dragon?

We could all use a big adventure. It's been a while for me. And what better way to bond than the murder of some unsuspecting beast.

[He's only being partially serious.]

If we find a dragon, we should definitely take it out, but more about keeping people safe than for the violent aspect.

Oh, sure, it's fun if you get to stand several meters away and shoot at the fire-breathing lizard the size of a large village. I mean, I have to stand at her feet and hope she doesn't swat me with her tail that weighs three times as much as I do.

[Not that Alistair won't enjoy fighting the creature. He'd love the chance to stretch his muscles and help people.]

That's a good point. We can't have the current ruler of a nation squished by another woman's tail.

Honestly, I don't think I'm really worried about being squashed by a woman or even a High Dragon. I don't really leave Denerim unless I have to. And none of them fly that close?

Unless there's one that came up on the Storm Coast and I haven't heard about it yet.

There was one on the Storm Coast when I was there. The first time I saw it, it was fighting a giant.

Actually watching a dragon and a giant fight was pretty amazing.... [He offers a grin to Alistiar]

But I can see why the ruling monarch would consider that an issue.

I bet it was. Dragons are a sight all themselves, but adding a giant into the mix would be... massive.

It's a bit more than just an issue though. The Storm Coast is part of Amaranthine and Highever.

Maybe you could sell tickets to the fight and boost the local economy? [He suggests, though clearly he doesn't mean that seriously.]

I'm sure that's not the sort of boost to the economy my brother-in-law would like to have. Especially what with the wildlife running around there.

Well, where there are escape tunnels from the Deep Roads there will be Darkspawn. That's not quite so surprising, if I'm honest.

[Especially not with what he knows about what happened in Amaranthine now.]

We took care of them and blocked the passages we could find. Don't want those things getting any closer to civilization.

Well, that's, uh, good of you. I thought the Inquisition all had some bad impression of me, in the future that is. I mean, that Dorian guy certainly made it seem like he thought I was the worst thing since the Blight.
