[Manji jumps around on one foot as he swears a colorful variety of vulgarer words.]

DOES IT FUCKIN' LOOK LIKE I'M GIVIN' ONE?!

[He snaps back in a loud growl.] Shit that hurt! [He's bleeding everywhere as the shot went all the way through his foot. If Flug looks closely between his flailing and the gore he may notice that the flesh around the bullet wound is wriggling already.]

Why do people carry these things in their waist belt?! [Because that's what he's been seeing people do. Too bad he hasn't seen how people use the safety on them.]

"Yes?"

[Sorry, Evil! Then again, Manji did seem to be just as livid when he 'offered' the first time. Was he really so far off with that comment?]

"Your regeneration doesn't nullify the pain receptors, I see."

[A pity; that could get in the way for some. The Scientist does indeed notice those wriggling repair-men beneath the skin, a shame he can't get a closer look, with all that flailing. Curiosity aside, even a man who just shot themselves is still a man with a gun; he has enough sense to keep to himself-- not that it's enough to stop him watching and enjoying a small bit of payback for Manji laughing at his predicament before. Nothing like a little schadenfreude to repair ones own ego.]

"Ah, I believe I can answer that.

He holds his hand out patiently.]

"May I?"

NO! It doesn't! [He growls out the words as he steps his injured foot down with a wince. In a way he was glad for it. He's seen what being an immortal who can't feel paid is like and he doesn't want any part of it.

He regards Flug with a judgemental eye for a moment at the request. His immediate response is to say no. To give away a weapon is a stupid move. Then again, Manji's pretty sure he could steal it back from Flug even easier than it's original owner if he had to.

So after a moment or two of glaring he begrudgingly holds out the gun for Flug to take.] Here. Just take it.

[Flug gladly comes forward to retrieve the weapon, immediately turning it over to analyze with skilled hands.]

"Looks to be a fairly basic make, standard core- Ah, here's your problem!"

[He flips the gun to display it's top side to Manji, flicking a small switch into a nearly hidden slot.]

"Most guns are made with the assumption that the user's second hand will disengage the safety before firing. In your case, you'll have to flip this before removing it, to use in combat. Most salesmen wouldn't hand off a firearm without this already flipped over--"

[He looks at the results of the scuffle with a mild chuckle.]

"But that's probably because they were about to fire at you, no?"

"Safety?" [Manji says with a scowl.] "What kind of crappy weapon is suppose to be safe? It's suppose to kill and that's that. >Safety!"

[He really can't see the point of it. Swords don't have safeties. Or well, maybe the scabbard? He still thinks it's stupid.

Ha. He nearly laughs when Flug calls the guy a sales person. Instead Manji jabs his thumb at the singed hole in his clothing. The skin of his shoulder looking perfectly fine and healthy can be seen through the hole. Even though there will be a matching hole on the other side as well.]

"Was about to fire isn't quite right." [His foot has at least stopped bleeding now. There is still a hole being repaired, but no more blood escaping.]

[Flug laughs at that, genuinely laughs. Damn it, Manji, you aren't supposed to actually say things he agrees with! He really shouldn't be getting this chummy with civilians, as it is.]

"Oh, believe me, I know."

[As a seller of evil products, he is well aware of the hypocrisies of such phrasing; and yet he is also the one who installed a NICE MODE in the Hat-bots, in the end.]

"I've heard it plenty-- but wording aside, most companies won't stand for being liable for damage they don't intend to cause."

[Keyword being 'most.']

"That is, unless their clients aren't the type to be missed. By all means, set it how you like."

[Because you were SO GOOD WITH IT, ALREADY. And really, if the villains buying Black Hat Organization's products are stupid enough to off themselves with them, how much further investment were they honestly worth? As if just recalling the differences between them, Flug adjusts his grip on the gun into a loose and more harmless hold, should Manji need to quickly take it back. See, only cooperation here!]

"Ah-- Well, good thing it doesn't run on bullets?"

[Because the hole in Manji's shirt would imply a wound in a very vital area.]

[Manji will take the gun back if Flug is done with it. He doesn't overly care about it at the moment.

Perhaps not surprisingly he decides to keep the safety on when he takes it back.]

"I suppose that is true. I wouldn't know to change those out." [Because that's what Flug was talking about. Being able to keep using the gun. Not the fact that he might have been more injured had he been shot with an actual bullet.]

"Among other inconveniences."

[Flug shrugs in agreement. He offers no resistance when Manji takes the gun back. This situation is still perfectly under control.]

"What brought this on, anyway? I've yet to really see much crime in this city."

[Beyond some unimaginative bootlegging, believe him, he looked.]

"Guy wanted some money. I didn't want to to give him any money. So I took his gun instead." Said with a smirk and skipping over the part where he got shot.

[uhuuuuuh.]

"Good to know people have the same motivations, regardless of the Universe."

[He shakes his head with something of rueful smile.]

"Although, I'm surprised Atroma would risk potentially losing profit by not intervening."

"Hey! Maybe they knew they didn't need to." Manji at least thinks he's pretty awesome.

"Because you're in harm's way, so often?"

[Flug snorts in disbelief. It's not so much doubting Manji's behalf, as much as doubting when the guy would even need to fight in a reality show.]

"I'm sure everywhere we're brought is just more of the same."

"Hey! This is the first time I was in harm's way since I got here and I handled that situation. I wasn't actually in harms way at all!" [You know, so long as you ignore that he's been shot twice today alone or the fights he's gotten in with Katie who has sent him flying at different times. This all in just a matter of months.]

"PRECISELY MY POINT! HOW could they KNOW you would-- UGH!"

[Flug drags an aggravated hand across his-- bag. No, no he isn't going to argue with someone in circles; today, he is momentarily free from Demencia and by all that is evil he is taking advantage of that!]

"No matter. Weapon's are my trade, Manji. If you think you're going to make a habit of this, I am available to explain them, you know."

"How much is there to know? This part you point at something you don't like then pull this part and boom! Done."

"For a simple firearm, sure, others might shrink whatever they come in contact with, reverse their molecular structure of the surrounding vicinity, or open a gateway to launch it's recipient to a future dimension."

[He.. may know a few of these from experience. ]

"A gun has as much destructive potential as the press of a button; it requires understanding! Lucky for you, this world has only scratched the basics of what guns are capable of. In weapons nearly anything is possible, a firearm is merely one method of delivering it."

"Wait. When you say shrink, I think you mean explode. Right? Saying they explode is much shorter." [That's how a weapon makes someone smaller, right? By blowing them into pieces?]

"How is that short--"

[Oh forget it. ]

"Err. No. That is, I made a ray gun that allows the user to change the size of objects both living and inanimate. I can do that. Many of my inventions defy the laws of physics."

"Huh." Manji considers that. "Be useful if you had a house to move I guess." He really should be more impressed, but the concept is a bit too big for him to properly picture.

"Y-yes. Moving houses. Absolutely."

[Not crushing them and half the city when your indestructible creation accidentally grows gigantic and sheepishly wanders into a neighborhood disoriented.]

"Aaaat any rate. It's interesting that Atroma holds no qualms about the stockpiling of weapons. Very useful. I wonder what it takes for them to ever consider us as a threat."

"Probably not until after we find out where they're hiding."
