[She doesn't exactly rush or run over to him, but her pace is definitely faster than normal. When she reaches him, Kaname throws her arms around his neck with a laugh, disregarding the water in favor of hugging him tightly.]

People loved it. [The relief in her voice is almost palpable.] I'm so glad.

[He hugs her back, even adding in a little twirl before loosening his hold, but keeping an arm around her.]

Of course they did. Who wouldn't? You, um... You're amazing.

[He clears his throat and thrusts the water toward her again. Drink. Be healthy.]

[She opens her mouth to reply, but stops when the water is presented again. Chuckling, she takes it and has a drink. Look, healthy!

Someone else passes by, so Kaname tugs him off to the side, careful to keep his arm around her. It's reassuring. Once they're by a wall, she leans against him, smiling faintly.]

I don't think I ever told you, but before Walkure, I tried my hand at a solo career. It didn't work out in the end, and I thought I just wasn't talented enough to manage that on my own. [Her head falls to rest on his shoulder.] This was the first time I've done anything solo since then without being a part of the group. Honestly, I was hesitant at first, so...

[She trails off, lifting her head and looking him in the eye.]

It means a lot that you said that. Thank you, Prompto.

[Satisfied that she's taken the water, he gets both arms around her once they're tucked away.]

I don't know much about music, but I don't think lack of talent was the problem. Maybe the timing wasn't right?

[He smiles.]

Well, yeah. You're welcome. Any time.

[She shakes her head, ready to let it go.]

It's in the past now, and it shouldn't affect things here. [Not in the negative way it might have.] Still, I'm glad I could tell you.

[Kissing his cheek, Kaname returns moves to slide her arms around his neck in another hug.]

You're pretty amazing yourself.

You can tell me anything.

[Hugging is nice. He gives a light squeeze and rocks them back and forth.]

Oh, um. I... [He's not. He's really not.] If you think so. Thanks.

Mm, I know so. [The rocking gets a laugh from her as she squeezes back.]

Anything, huh? That's good to hear.

[In fact, she moves in to whisper something, then pulls back to look at him with a smile.]

[That's not exactly what he meant, and he didn't expect her to say that. He looks flustered for a moment before shaking his head and hugging her again, partly in gratitude, partly to hide for a second.]

Hah. Thanks.

[Kaname giggles when he pulls her in again, happy to return the affection.]

I meant it. And you already know you can tell me anything, too.

[Given they've already discussed some serious topics.]

[And he so thankful. He pulls back after moment, just far enough that he can look at her and tilt his head to the side.]

Do you need to hang around here, or do we want to get out of here?

I'd like to wait until the end. It's a talent contest after all, and I want to see how I do.

[He's been very supportive, but she doesn't want to force him to be here if he's ready to go.]

I can meet you somewhere later if you'd like to head out.

[He shakes his head.]

Nah. It's cool. I wanna see how you did too. I bet you wiped the floor with them.

[Kaname laughs, moving her hands to rest on his shoulders.]

Did you even watch any other contestants?

...I mean, not really.

I didn't need to. I already know who the best one here is.

It was that dancer at the beginning wasn't it? The extra arms did give her an advantage.

[Kaname sighs wistfully as if she's resigned to her place.]

No way. She looked like she was dancing to a different song. Way off beat.

Didn't you just admit to not watching the others?

[She's trying not to let her amusement show, but it's not working too well.]

And anyway, I don't mind not winning. I just wanted to put on a good show.

Umm... I was vaguely paying attention!

[And maybe taking some pictures of the more interesting acts. And so many of Kaname, they could be made into a flipbook.]
