However, all of that goes out of his mind with Thor's explination.]
What...? I'm..sorry? [Thor didn't seem upset by it, though.] I have four sisters and I don't think any of them have ever thought to try and stab me in the eye. One of them did punch me, though. [It was meant to be a joke, but his utter confusion colored it. And then it clicked why it was bothering him so much.]
Wait, you have a sister? That wasn't- I never knew you had any other siblings besides Loki.

[And stabbed, in Loki's case, but that's an entirely different level in Thor's mind to what Hela did. Thor tilts his head a bit, noting Barnes's confusion. Having never met the man back on Earth, it seems strange that he would find it surprising that there are things he doesn't know about Thor.]
Well, we didn't know either until very recently. She was banished long before we were born, and never spoken of.
no subject
[If she was a secret that well kept, it never would have made it into Thor's file; the Capitol could only delve so deeply into the lives of their tributes.]
I should probably warn you I know more than you probably realize. I got a chance to learn about you in the place I was before.
[Not really a lie, more like a half-truth.]

[Not that he wouldn't gladly get his eye back, but in the scheme of things it's not as important as other losses. At Bucky's comment though, Thor gives him a more critical look.]
And this place wasn't Earth, I take it.
[Whenever people talk about 'places they've been before this', it's never Earth. It's always somewhere else that kidnaps people away from the reality they should inhabit.]

[He'd been thinking about that question since Kitty asked him. There was a chance it was Earth, or some version of it, but he had no way of knowing or proving it either way. And to imagine the kind of worlds 'Earth' usually described and imagine Panem had once been like that...it would mean a lot more had been lost than their history and thousands of lives.]
It was called Panem. There was a man who called himself President Snow who ruled over it. He brought people in to fight in lethal arenas. If the other fighters didn't kill you, the arena itself just might.
Luckily, Snow's dead now. [So, you know, obviously, everything is A-ok.]

This wouldn't be the same place that Sam Wilson was in? He spoke of an arena as well.
[At the mention of the ruler being dead, Thor just raises his eyebrows. He's not at all averse to deposing tyrants.]
That's good, then.
no subject
It is. I met him there when he was brought to Panem. He watched my back during the war, and now I guess we're here. Some vacation.
no subject
[Which isn't terribly surprising, when you get down to it. Midgard had had similar things in the past, he's sure. So had other worlds. It's just that Thor happened to get stuck in that particular one and feels more strongly about it.]
It is not a relaxing one, I know. Considering we were not asked first.

[It meant his home wasn’t the absolute worst place in the galaxy, it had company.]
It’s not, no, but i’m trying to think of it like a mission I just need to get through. If it’s as puzzle that needs solving, then it’s work and not so constraining.
[It was the best solution he’d come to since his conversation with Sam about trying to get them out of there. He had’t given that up, he just needed to find a different way.]
no subject
Good! [He's effusive in that.] I think too many here get used to the situation and stop really trying to find a way out. That bothers me, so I refuse to let it happen to myself.
[Which he will demonstrate with alarming gusto as soon as the Marsiva attack occurs.]
