[Well, that all sure happened. But at least you have the waystations! Whether you want to stock up on supplies, work, trade, or visit the very fancy Virtual Reality Dome, it's bound to be a nice break from the attacks of the 5th.

[ She tilts her head up to look at him, peeking behind the pillow. ]

Was that person your best friend too?

[ And he's probably right. Teepo would be in concern, questioning her about how glum she looked. Still, it's difficult. She'd been with her best friend since she was a toddler. Suddenly being apart from him is... scary. ]

It's... hard. I don't know what to do to be happy now.

[got_it_memorized]

[He nods.]

Yup, he sure was. Still is, really, but... I'm not sure when I'm gonna get to see him again. [And not just because he's stuck here in space, either.

[He frowns a little at her words--she seems way too young to even be talking about something so heavy.]

Mind if I come in? [If she's amenable, he'll come into the room and sit down on the edge of the bed--not too close, he doesn't want to freak her out, but he has a feeling (heh, a feeling) that she could use the company right now.]

I spent a long time not knowing how to be happy. Like I really thought I just couldn't do it anymore. Turned out all I needed was a reminder. [Roxas had reminded him what it felt like to have a heart, what it felt like to feel. He wonders sometimes what would have become of him if he hadn't gotten that reminder.] Can you remember something that made ya happy?

I hope both of us can see our best friends again.

[ It's clear that Elize doesn't mind the company, not voicing any protest as he sits on the edge of the bed.

Something that made her happy? She pauses thoughtfully, swinging her legs lightly at the edge of the bed. There were a lot of memories that were sad, honestly. She'd grown up in a strange environment, only having a single friend for the longest time.

But there were some good ones in there. ]

My best friend used to be my only friend for the longest time and we were locked up in this house. Then one day, we made a new friend. He didn't let us live all alone in this room anymore.

[ She starts to smile. Normally, she doesn't talk this much, but it truly is something that made her happy. She can't help it. ]

I got to go outside! After that, I got to ride a boat and I saw the ocean for the very first time.

I hope so, too.

[He's certainly going to do his best. He's not sure how to get Roxas back, but he's not going to give up--he owes him that much.

[Axel's face is a bit grim as she speaks. Locked up? Kids shouldn't be locked away, for any reason. His expression lightens a little then as she continues.]

I still remember the first time I saw the ocean, too. [He leans back on his hands.] I'd never seen so much water all in one place. It was a little scary! [He gives her a bit of a smile, then taps his temple.] See? So long as you can remember the things that made you happy in the past, you've always got a way to be happy in the present. Memories are a lot more powerful than people think they are; they're really important, so make sure you hold onto them.

[princessia]

I thought it was scary too. [ She makes a curt, embarrassed laugh. Just thinking about how large the body of water is and not knowing how deep it goes... it was frightening. Like you could fall in and die! Yet, at the same time, it was a fascinating sight.

Strangely, she doesn't recall any other years of her life. She left the laboratory in the same year and wound up living in a little house at the age she is now. No memories about her family either. ]

I... don't have many memories. I wish I could remember something about my parents.

[got_it_memorized]

[He furrows his brow a little. Had she lost her memories somehow? He shakes his head.]

It's okay; even if you don't have very many, so long as you have something to remember what happiness feels like, you never really forget. [A soft sigh and Axel lets his shoulders sag a bit.] I haven't seen my parents in a long time. You don't remember yours at all?

[princessia]

I think father might have had a beard and a fluffy coat... that's all I remember. [ It's a memory that suddenly resurfaced when she was traveling in a town, but it was so hazy and unclear. She might have been thinking of somebody else. ]

Where are your parents?

[got_it_memorized]

Hold onto it, that memory. [He wags a finger at her.] You never know, it might get bigger if you keep it safe.

[He sighs softly and averts his eyes for a moment. He's really not sure, honestly. Radiant Garden was mostly destroyed, all of its people gone in the blink of an eye. When it was restored, it was still in ruins, and he's not certain everyone who was lost was returned.]

I think they're back on my home world, but I haven't been able to go see them in a long time. [Mostly because he's not sure how to face them after what he did. He can't go home until he can bring Isa with him, that's what he decided.] I have a little brother, too--he was about your age, the last time I saw him. [He wonders what he looks like now...]
