[Well, that all sure happened. But at least you have the waystations! Whether you want to stock up on supplies, work, trade, or visit the very fancy Virtual Reality Dome, it's bound to be a nice break from the attacks of the 5th.

[he nods to the first part. his home was like that too. the windows were only wide enough for archers to shoot arrows through them--or so his master told him, once.

why is he here? he shrugs.] Curious.

About the room?

[He can only assume, fully doubting their closeness of their relationship extends that far. Still, the room attracting him surprises him as well, though he can't quite put his finger on why.]

[nodding.] ...It's yours.

[that was supposed to be a question, but it wasn't pronounced like one--so he's implying one thing when he means to ask another. because someone never puts tone into his voice when he talks.]

[Well. That's perfectly rife for misunderstanding and misunderstand he does. His face flounders a bit and he blushes, stumbling over his words as he attempts to make his mouth work.]

... I'm flattered. If surprised. I didn't think you held such interest.

[theboogieman]

[that... isn't an answer that matches with what he'd thought he'd asked. he narrows his eyes a little, in confusion--before he suddenly realizes, shaking his head.]

That's-- [no. words.] It was a question.

Oh. [He blushes. Brighter. Straightens a bit before glancing away, fussing with the trim of his collar.] —Uh, yes. It's, ah. A place I've dreamed of for a long while. I only spent a small amount of time in it so... [He shrugs, sheepishly.] I wanted to go back.

[It takes a minute for the words to settle before the idea strikes him as ridiculous. He laughs, one hand moving to cover his mouth.] That must sound foolishly sentimental. It's not even my home.

[Though he wishes it were.]

[Zhas looks ready to respond, immediately. he seems like he has something to say. but it takes him a moment. he has to think, really process how it's going to sound.]

Do you... like it?

[Surprised, he lowers his hand.]

Of course. I wouldn't be here otherwise.

Then it's fine.

[short. simple. very easy for him to say, since he has no hang-ups on what is proper and what is loyalty. he has Zhas' permission to just enjoy himself, for whatever that's worth.

his attention goes back up to those windows. he's already moving past it. thinking about other things.]
