Waystation Mingle Log!
Who: GAME-WIDE MINGLE aka everyone
Broadcast: If you want
Action: The Stations!
When: From 04/05 through the month of April.
[Well, that all sure happened. But at least you have the waystations! Whether you want to stock up on supplies, work, trade, or visit the very fancy Virtual Reality Dome, it's bound to be a nice break from the attacks of the 5th.
Make your own prompts, set up your own Virtual Realities, etc! For reference, the OOC post with info is over here!]

RE-PURPOSING 1??? aw yis
So this is like that, except with staffs.*
More specifically at some uh, unspecified point between there and here, Hawke and Anders chatted about their respective training, because sometimes when one mage and another mage ...have pretty serious crushes on each other, to say the least, that kind of thing is totally totally hot. And so it was surmised that the Ferelden Circle wasn't exactly teaching its mages how to whomp people in the face, what with no Circle teaching that ever, but apparently there was a time when mages were doing it (yes) substantially more martially back in Kirkwall.
What is mage camaraderie for if not sharing tips, one asks. So here they are back in the VRD, which is once again that Field of Some Renown in Lothering. Why not, it served the purpose well enough in life. Hawke's virtual staff today is the Staff of Parlathan! Good for all your magical and melee needs both. Even if narrative does have to continue reminding itself it's not pronounced 'Staff of Parthenon.'
At present he has it resting behind his shoulders with his arms draped over it, so ...the 'let me hold u a thing' object of the day is apparently a baseball bat. ]
* actual staffs, what kinds of low hanging fruit are you going for **
** low hanging fruit joke

[The smile says he isn't. He hooks one elbow around his staff, lets it support his weight while he settles into an exaggerated lean from which he can properly appreciate Hawke's arms.]
Remind me again why I shouldn't stick with the "hide behind the largest person currently on my side" strategy? It hasn't done me wrong yet.
[Except for, like, all the times his tank ran away and something else spawned behind him. Tricky video game mechanics.]

Surely that must get dreadfully tiresome. Same thing, day in and day out, always bip-biping away?
[ That is exactly what Origins mage combat is like. Bip, bip bip. ]
Handy in emergencies? The pleasure of my company? The list is endless.

It would be extremely satisfying to clock a templar upside the head one day, should the opportunity ever present itself. [a beat. He tries to keep the curling smile off his face and fails.] Oh, and you're tolerable, I suppose.
[He steps back so that his spine is ramrod straight, affecting the familiar Ferelden salute he picked up with the Wardens, his right fist laid flat against his heart.]
All right, you've convinced me. Where do we start?
