[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!

There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.

Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.

Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

My goal is complete. Is it true girls like it when the guy is taller than them? [This is suddenly important to him when it had never been before.]

It's definitely true not all girls are into the same things. But yeah, I'm kind of into that. [Taller and older. He checks those boxes a lot. Most guys she's been with have been at least a little over six foot. Winn had only been a couple of inches taller than her.]

[She may be a little disappointed that Vash is just shy of six feet. Standing at 5'11" not counting the hair.] Good to know that I don't need to worry about Chuuya stealing you away with his fashion sense then.

[Winn was 5'9". She likes height, but it isn't everything.] He does know how to work a hat, doesn't he? [It would surprise her more if Chuuya was interested in stealing her away.]

...You are? [Unsure what to say because she has no idea if this is sarcasm or seriousness.]

[Vash just smiles and pulls her into a spin instead of answering.]

[She comes back in nice and close at the end of the spin. She's definitely in kissing range, but she just nuzzles a little instead.]

[Vash feels a rush of excitement as she nuzzles that little bit. A kind of excitement that he's never really felt in quite the same way before. He feels like he should say something.] Wow. You're a really good dancer.

[Wow. That was really lame.]

Mm...I'm a little dizzy. [Possibly from all the drinking and spinning. Though that's not the only reason she's holding close to a dance that deserves faster moves.]

[Dizzy and a little drunk in the moving crowd, she still manages her way through the room easily enough, taking an empty seat at the bar. After all, who would be at the bar when the energy is on the floor?]

Surprise you? Ahh-- [What do girls like to drink? Milly was always asking for Ceylon tea, but that doesn't seem right. Vash also doubts they have Meryl's go to of a banana sundae either.] Um, rum and... coke?

[That seemed safe. Not straight rum, but also not a super fancy cocktail.]

Wow, spoilers. [She smirks.] I kind of figured you'd pick water or coffee. Aren't you super concerned about me drinking?

I'll be concerned once you throw up on my jacket. A bit of fun? I don't see anything wrong that tonight! [Alright, probably not the best way to phrase that. There could be a lot of things wrong.]

Not your precious jacket. [Luckily she doesn't feel remotely sick. Helps that she's still pretty young with a strong constitution.] Could you ever forgive me?

Do you have any idea how expensive this is to dry clean?

I mean, it cost nothing because I don't bother dry cleaning it... or well, anything I own, but could you imagine how expensive it would be if I did!?

I'll try to spare you that fate. I feel fine except for a little dizzy from spinning. You could always take it off if you're really worried. [Maybe he collapses into dust if he takes it off.]

I could, but then I'd have to carry it. That sounds like a pain. [Somehow he manages to find them a table ledge to at least lean against in the crowded club.]

I don't know. You seem reasonably strong. I think you could carry it. I bet you could carry me. [Stretching up to slide her arms around his neck. She might just climb him. Maybe not the right dress for climbing though.]

[She's not wrong. Even without his robotic left arm he has the strength to carry her. He can't help but laugh as she starts to climb Mt. Vash.]

If I'm carrying you then I'll be carrying you home. I'm not exactly a taxi service.
