[The parties may have ended in most of the system, but at least in one corner, as the silver confetti and plastic cups are being swept up, it continues. This time it's not in celebration of the games but something - or someone - a little more personal to some of the members of the fleet. After all, Felix had promised, in a way.

There will be a celebration this evening in memory of our friend Lumiere, who has since departed the fleet. Regardless of whether you knew him, come enjoy yourself as I'm sure he would have wanted.

[The coordinates that follow lead to a small lounge-like venue near the beach in the Brightbirds territory. The main room is bright and cozy, hosting the featured entertainment for the night, orange-skinned men and women dancers in flowing, feathered, revealing garments who make sinuous circles around the room. Musicians with guitar-like instruments and drums play throughout the night, to accompany the dancers.

On the patio there is a buffet full of small finger foods like skewers of meat and candied fruits and various other decadently simple dishes. The bar is also nearby - though the drinks aren't free, they are available at a discount for the evening.

If you want a little more quiet, the patio leads directly out onto the beach, which is also set with small cushions and tables for you to enjoy your food and drink while you listen to the waves and the distant city lights reflected in the water]

[Conversely, Alucard is very pleased by the party's proximity to the ocean. He's spent so long living on its surface that it does hold a certain place in his heart. (No matter that he'd taken up living on land shortly before he stay in the Fleet, and happily so.)

Stepping out onto the patio, he breathes in the salty air. A familiar (strange) aura catches his attention, and he crosses to where Felix is standing. Arms on the patio railing, turning to smile at their host.]

Quite a party.

Not my best effort, admittedly, but the resources I have here can't really accommodate my best. But...thank you. I'm glad you could come.

In that case, I'd be very curious to see what your best entails. [There's a vaguely flirtatious edge somewhere in there, although mostly he just means to be friendly.] And regardless, I believe it's an effort that he would have appreciated.

[Alucard never got to know Lumiere very deeply, but enough to understand that he would have liked this.]

[He laughs lightly] Admittedly I'm more practiced at attending parties than I am organizing them, beyond the occasional dinner party - which was far easier back when I could snap a finger at the closest servant and get what I wanted. But I know what people want in a soiree, more or less. I believe our ideal party involves more clothing and food than my resources and current weather might allow.

Perhaps. [Alucard likes the weather, to be honest. His smile is a little amused.] People do seem to be enjoying this one, just the same.

I'm glad of that, regardless of my own standards. Party aside, however, how are you finding the fleet so far?

It's offered up some very interesting experiences, so far. [He hums, looking out at the sea.] I'd traveled widely before, but this is something else entirely.

[Even though he'd rather be home and on solid ground much more.]
