[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

[Michael leans against the doorframe of whatever room Robin is in at the moment. He's just wearing the fleet coveralls today, his wings out. He mostly only does that on the ship.]

So what happened to you?

[And if he has an idea that is has something to do with what happened over the network the other day, he's not saying.

[ah, yes. Robin looks over from where he's checking the landing gear, looking Michael over. he'd really been hoping to avoid this conversation... so...]

Are you finally giving in to the overalls? Jeez...

[maybe he can deflect!]

It's laundry day...

[He crosses his arms, his tone flat]

Lose all your hair dye?

Yeah, well... [busted.] There was magic involved.

Magic... [He gives Robin a flat look] Yours, or someone else's?

Mine.

[the other guy's magic was a gun. so actually not magic at all. he returns the flat look, not appreciating the prying.]

I'm not here to judge your fashion choices. Obviously.

[His expression softens, and there's something both oddly perceptive and sympathetic about it beyond the outer layer of flippancy]

Just showing a little concern for my captain.

[that's... weird, Michael. don't get all honest and sympathetic like that, it bothers him. he cracks a smile, shaking his head.]

Thanks for the concern, but I'm fine. No harm done.

[He immediately smiles as if he'd only been teasing.]

Alright. Just checking.

[He turns as if to leave and then stops]

By the way, if anyone asks, they can sleep in my office. I can always find a new spot.

[He knows about the nightmares, basically, and something tells him Robin is going to need the space.]

That's...

[his smile falters. he doesn't like it when people do that, even if it's for the best. he likes Michael, but the more he talks to him, the more he notices he's got a knack for saying things that dig just a little too deep under his flimsy surface. BUT HEY, he drags his smile back.]

...Very thoughtful of you.

[It's an angel thing, and it was the most subtle way he could think of to suggest that, outside of leaving a trail of booze into his cabin, but who knew who that would attract?]

[He shrugs]

Some people might say that's supposed to be my job.

Yeah, yeah. [he waves him off.] Don't get too crazy on the planet, all right?

I won't do anything you wouldn't [He smirks and turns to walk away]
