[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

I wasn't expecting it, but...it does seem that way. It's nice, they see anyone like this as being like them.

[ So they mostly gravitate to everyone else. ]

[he nods, but that's an automatic reaction. it's followed by a slightly more honest shrug]

It's nice to be out where there's, like... real air and sun and people and stuff.

It's been a while...

[ For her, even more than the time she's been here. ]

So far, I think the landing may have been the worst part.

[ugh, he sympathetically frowns]

That... was pretty much the worst thing.

[ She'd never return to the ship again if she didn't...well, live there. ]

It's so much worse than a real ship.

Yes, that sort. Have you never been on one?

[he shakes his head, looking totally awed!]

No way!

People don't really ride on ships anymore.

[ Laughs quietly, not unkindly. ]

I envy you...they're awful.

I can't imagine. Part of the city was on the sea, but I've never seen it.

Oh? Why not?

Because it was, like... huge.

[motioning out with his hands, like that might help her imagine the scale]
