[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

[ after getting everything into place, riku hops out of the ship, grimacing at the dust cloud that appears underneath his feet. ]

That's not good... [ but he looks over to robin, and even though riku's got pretty bad eyesight, he blankly stares.

that's not... right. he looks away, rubs the heels of his hands against his eyes, before looking back at robin., and then moves over, slowly, still squinting. ]

Robin?

[...okay, so he's probably been avoiding people the last... day or so... but all good things must come to an end. he stops messing with the landing gear and looks over, figuring he might as well try to play this off as totally not weird.]

That's me. What's up?

Your hair.

[ yeah, blunt. ]

Did you get a hundred years older overnight?

[HA... HAA... he smirks.]

What an impolite thing to say.

Sorry, Mister Captain Sir, won't happen again.

[ this is the only time you'll hear his sarcasm and 'captain'. ]

Your hair's whiter than mine overnight. That's not normal.

[what sass. he stops to lean on some crates, propping his head up against his hand.]

You're right. It's not.

[ is this just gonna turn into what happened last time?

riku's so tired of playing games, so he sobers and comes right out and says it; ]

You're not hurt, are you? [ where he stands, he tilts his head at him. there's nothing on his face but pure concern, because despite his sass and despite his teasing, he is concerned that something's wrong. ] I know at least one ship has to have first-aid.

[and he kind of... gazes at him, for a long moment, because he doesn't like when people stop playing. he's not sure how much he wants to tell. eventually, though:]

No, no. I'm not hurt. In fact, this is my natural hair color. [he taps the side of his head.]

[ wait, what?

riku blinks once, looks at his hair, and then back down at him. oh, and then it dawns on him; ]

Right. I don't think they sold any dye at the station, so it was bound to show up sooner or later.

[he shrugs.]

Yep. I'll be heading into town soon, to see if they've got anything...

They might.

I'll... [ he eyes towards the direction of the town instead of robin and shifts, uncomfortable. ]

I'll probably stay behind.

Really? [he watches his movement, carefully.] Not a fan of crowds?

[ simply; ]

No. I like being on my own. [ then, he sends an unreadable smile to Robin. ] Maybe I can meditate in peace.

Boo. [he smiles right back.] Would you like me to get you anything?

[ huh?

the question doesn't quite register in riku's head before he flusters, face getting a little red as he shakes his head firmly. ]

N-no. If I want something, I'll go and check for myself.

Haha, okay. [he straightens up! time to at least look like he's going back to work with whatever he was doing.] Don't stay cooped up for too long.

You might be captain, but you're not the boss of me. [ little smirk. ]

[yeah, you just keep thinking that, Riku. HE WILL LET YOU GO.]
