...drums fingers on his knee] -nope looks safe to me. Don't worry, got my sword. You should just let me out real quick.

O...kay. [Something's definitely up, but better to ask when he's calmer later, and not now when he's clearly anxious over whatever it is. Riona pulls the shuttle down, landing on the nearby island.] Here we are.

[Cloud's out of the shuttle before it even really lands; the mist is so thick he can barely see the hull of the craft two inches away from it, but he already feels better just having the room to stretch his arms over his head.]

Wow. Geez, you can't see anything. We coulda crashed into one of those floating mountains on the way down, no problem.

[...geez does she smell bad or something? Riona takes a tentative sniff. She thinks she smells okay? But Maker, what's gotten into him?

Riona gets out, and immediately finds herself squinting to try and see through the mist. Yeah, this is going to be a bitch to navigate.]

Yes, it's quite difficult to see through this. Let's proceed cautiously. And we have to watch our time. These masks might not be able to keep up for forever.

[moseyin]

I brought a couple extra filters just in case. [Pats a pouch buckled onto his belt.] Let me know if you need one. [Cloud hefts his sword from his back, giving it a little twirl to see the mist swirl around it, but...yeah, it's not doing much, even at that size. There's just too much fog.] Is the GPS on your comm working? We wanna make sure we don't lose track of where we parked, too.

I appreciate a prepared man. Let's hope we don't have to use too many of them.

[It's instinctual to wave her hand through the mist, as if she could somehow part it to show the way. Even the worst fog in Ferelden didn't quite compare to this. Their line of sight is impaired significantly, and she dreads what they might accidentally run into.]

Mmm, let me see. [She brings out her communicator, turning it on and going into the GPS. There's some interference, but:] Right now it seems to be, though it's not perfect.

[moseyin]

[Gives the shuttle a cautious look, the fog already encroaching on it, before searching for Riona through it.] How's your sense of direction? If we get stuck out here and can't find our way back to this thing, we'll be in trouble.

It's decent enough, I've navigated people through caves and the like. I just hope the fog doesn't distort things and make it difficult to get back. How about yours?

Could be better. I'll count on you if these go out. [Shoves his comm back into his pocket and just strikes out. buddy maybe you should let the superior navigator lead]
