Riona Cousland Theirin | Dragon Age | OTA
[Like a moth to the flame, Riona visits as many theaters as she can when she first hears there are a bevy of them on this world. Within the first day there, she comes back with an armful of pamphlets and fliers, all advertising the upcoming shows. There's so much to see!! And of course, she can't go alone! Which means people are getting dragged along.
It's a beautiful night when Riona takes her "guest's" arm in hers and walks along the path towards the theater. It's almost a shame to be spending it indoors, but oh well. Totally worth it for the show.]
You look quite good, I have to say. [The theaters demand formalwear, which means dressing up. And of course that means people looking at their best.] Thanks for coming along.
2) Exploration
[Maker, she's missed exploring. The wandering around and seeing where your feet take you. And in a brand new world, who knows what's around the next corner?
Riona's in quite a good mood, needless to say, as she pulls herself up over a rocky ledge. The locals mentioned some old ruins and abandoned places on this particular island. Or so they believed, most didn't venture out this far. And untouched ruins meant artifacts and other such things. That was her hope, anyway. Now that she's over the ledge, Riona's got a clear view of the area around them. She looks around, peering over treetops to try and find someplace to explore.
In no time, her eyes light up as she finds something.]
Oh, there! I think I see something. Let's go!
[Aaaand she's off, with naught but her weapon, pack, and eagerness.]
3) Mist
[Well now.
The locals, along with sharing their stories and legends, also warned about this mist. It reminds her of that polluted planet, many many systems ago, though this fog poses a different kind of danger. Once again, she dons a gas mask.]
Are we ready? [They're poised to take a dive into the mist and search the islands hidden within. But the usual enthusiasm Riona has for exploring seems to have waned a bit. While she's no stranger to danger, the mist presents a challenge she's not sure how to face. The masks aren't going to keep it out forever, and if one breaks... but hey, the looming threat of death or worse hasn't stopped her before.] Let's hope this is worth it.
4) Wildcard
[Leave your own prompt!]
Theaters
What he does like is to see his wife dressed in beautiful clothes and smiling beatifically. Those are right at the top of his list of favorite things.
So, when she returns with armloads of pamphlets he knows what his duty is as a good husband. Time to don the penguin suit (now that he knows what that means, it's pretty accurate).]
Well, of course I do. [Even when he's trying to sound cocky, he's a little unsure.] I come from fine stock after all. Plus, I can hardly come in wearing my normal clothes when you look so ravishing in that dress.
[A dress he bought her, no less. He knew she'd look wonderful in it.]
Please tell me there's at least one sword fight in this play.

2. exploration
Riona's excitement is infectious though, and Thor has to laugh as she goes haring off without delay. He jumps over the ledge and follows her, catching up quickly enough.]

loki | mcu | ota
[ Oddly enough, Loki wasn't keen on doing something showy. He'll leave that to the others to divert attention from himself. It was pathetically easy though. One quick illusion and he's in and out, taking whatever is nearby. Afterwards, he sits down, looking over his spoils with a critical eye. ]
Gold tiaras? Are these still fashionable?
[ ii. theater - everyone's a critic ]
[ And obviously Loki was going to make his way down to the theater. This was his favourite kind of entertainment, as he finds himself a comfortable spot to watch. And loudly give commentary of all kinds. ]
You call that crying? I could do better. In my sleep.
[ iii. the mist ]
[ During his jaunts of piracy and escaping authorities, his mask suffered a slight crack, making it completely unusable. With a snarl, Loki tosses it aside. Perhaps if he makes it off this particular place, the mist won't play tricks on his mind, won't —
"Where do you think you're going, Loki?"
— won't do that. Loki curses, his breath hitching as he makes out a large purple shadow in the mists. It's not real, he tells himself, but he finds himself stumbling back, trying to put some distance between him and the Titan that was encroaching, his face hidden from sight. ]
[ iv. closed to clark kent ]
[ It's a shame they left the other system so quickly, but Loki is adaptable. And keen to uphold his word to Clark on taking him out somewhere. After sending a message over, Loki waits at the rendezvous point, dressed in a black suit, a green scarf draped over his shoulders. ]
So how do you feel about blindfolding?
[ An auspicious start, clearly. ]

1. Airship crew / Anti air piracy
[Shiro is a very simple man, so of course he takes the job of piloting the local airships. He transports both packages and people, so if you're in need of his services, come and say hi! Maybe offer some company over here at the helm?
Ah, but that's not all. Because see, he's a pilot, but also a paladin. Defender of the universe! And that means he's all about keeping the sky safe, especially with the help of his armor jet-pack. It's easy for him to jump from ship to ship, fighting pirates that hijack the good, honest workers. He's a black blur in the air, with the occasional purple glow of his arm activating, so he isn't easy to miss if you want to join the brawl. Come join the punching, aye!
Or maybe you're just an innocent bystander who is walking around the island and will find yourself suddenly being rained on by... gold coins? Yes, and some jewels. Oops! Shortly after that happens, Shiro will land next to you, carrying an unconscious pirate over his shoulder as if this was the most natural thing in the world.]
Sorry about gold rain - these pirates were trying for a "if I can't get it, nobody else can" trick with that chest. Got a little out of hand. Are you hurt?
2. Kite flying
[No, seriously: Shiro is a very, very simple man when it comes to his tastes. So finding him in the kite assigned areas won't be hard if you know him: just follow the lion. He looks relaxed, not something that happens often, quite content in fact. He's a sucker for all kinds of flying, and sure, these are just kites, but it's been fun to apply his aerodynamics knowledge to this kind of hobby, and he'll say so to whoever is willing to listen.]
I think I'm keeping this one. Do you think we could make one big enough to put on our ships? [Shiro please...
If you find him later on, though, Shiro is joining the kite fighting. He may not be Keith, but he still has a competitive side that will show no mercy. Bring it!, he'll call out without hesitation, laughing even! At the end of the day though, Shiro is still Shiro, aka a paladin and a gentleman, so whenever he sees a kite fly off -cut by him or not- he uses his jet-pack to reach it and bring it back to the players.]
I believe this one is yours. [Look at this gentle smile! Don't trust it, he'll destroy you.]
3. At the SS Huntress
((important note: this prompt applies to the week of the 4th to the 11th, which is when Lance and Keith are falling asleep for a canon update.))
[He beams himself to the Huntress as soon as he doesn't hear from them, running to their joined room and finding... Keith and Lance asleep together, and not responding. Last time, they all disappeared together, except for Hunk who also fell asleep. Pidge went and came... this is the first time he actually has to watch someone fall under Atroma's sleep spell though, and it's far from a pleasant feeling. Especially when their pets are on the bed, cuddling them and waiting for their masters to wake up. Ouch, his heart.
At least they have each other during this... "process"? Lance will surely find it romantic when he wakes up, Shiro thinks as he makes sure they're both in a comfortable position and well covered by warm blankets, but Keith will probably freak out for having left Shiro. Will it be a simple sleep, Shiro wonders. Or will they return with new memories? If it's the later... why didn't he fall for this too? He knows Atroma isn't methodical about this and he shouldn't read too much into it, ye he still does, because his own destiny is always so unsure.
But there's no time for this now. After petting both animals, promising them some food and making sure everyone is ok, Shiro goes out to the hallway again to talk to any person he can find. Worry is obvious on his face.] Excuse me, can I ask you a favor?
[That's the first day at least. Every day after that, Shiro will visit the Huntress every morning to check on his friends and feed the pets. Some times he returns in the evening too, just in case. Feel free to get in his way! Especially since he starts bringing his dog, Procyon, with him, so Keith's Snow and Lance's Oliver can get a little pet date. Poor things don't want to leave the room...]
huntress;
Sure, what's wrong? [A beat, and then-] Let me guess, Keith and Lance?

ben douglass | ota
[Ben is someone who keeps himself busy, and that means picking up the odd job here and there on the planet aside from the one he has at Nami's bar. Farming is easy and something he (kind of) knows so he goes for that, and since he has Gent (his dog) along with him, it makes the most sense.
He's mostly assigned to plowing the fields, given he has the strength with his arm to do it, and he'll happily go at the mundane work for as long as his shift requires it. Only pausing long enough for a break or to tell his dog for the nth time to stop parking at the livestock]
No, seriously, you can't eat the flying pigs, I'm 99% sure that's bad luck.
b. fishy business;
["simple" seems to be the theme of this visit for Ben, so when he hears he can go fishing and catch some weird shit, he's all in. He opts for going by himself after a brief crash course on flying out to . . . catch flying fish. He's tickled by the idea, even the idea of catching an air whale is insane and he is not even attempting that much.
If you want to join him, though, despite some standard and required bitching he'd let people come along, and even begrudgingly teach someone how to fish. He's not an expert, but practice and all that. And you'd get to meet his dog, who will love you more than he loves Ben]
c. the mist; (cws will be warned for in comment headers as they come up)
[he hears the stories, he heeds the warnings for the most part, but curiosity and boredom get the better of Ben at some point and he ends up joining a group traveling into the mist. He isn't stupid, though - he buys the best mask he can get his hands on, makes sure it isn't a cheap knock-off, so on and so forth -
But for whatever reason, it isn't enough. He ends up trailing behind the group as soon as the symptoms start, his head beginning to pound in time with the nausea churning in his stomach. As he glances up to maybe say something, maybe even call out that he's heading back because he really isn't feeling great, something feels off, he wants out—
His right arm, the cybernetic one, begins to spark and malfunction, the panels popping off. The hallucination startles him so much he forgets to curse]
d. wildcard;
[feel free to hit me up for something else if none of these work for you! ♥]

[Someone of Messer's build (and overall intimidating presence) is well-suited for bodyguard work, and he doesn't make much money from his "show performance" at this point, so to keep a stock of funds in case something comes up, he's taken a few jobs working security for the transports between the islands. Maybe you're assigned to the same cargo, maybe you're just passing by. Either way, let's keep it professional, shall we?
It's fine if you want to say hi, though. It's pretty dull work in between flights.]
( b. air fishing; okay this is actually pretty zen. )
[During his downtime, Messer's found a quiet, safe fishing spot to try out the local sport of flinging a line out into the air and seeing if anything bites. It's weird to imagine catching fish in the air, but this place has flying livestock, apparently, so who even knows.
Regardless of his catch, it's really relaxing, so he's in a surprisingly good mood and would welcome some company!]
( c. var in the mist, AROUND THE 20TH; cw for blood/potential violence/mindfuckery )
[Things have been going smoothly, for the most part- too smoothly, in truth, and something was bound to come along and shake things up, ruin his day. Maybe he got complacent. Maybe it's just poor luck. Regardless, one day while daring to venture out into the mist, something goes terribly wrong.
If you should happen to wander through the mist at the wrong time, on the wrong day, you might notice the sound of wretched, animalistic and angry howling in the air. The closer you get to the sound, the scenery around you begins to change: the mist parts, revealing shattered wreckage, flickering fires, and blood. There are bodies strewn about, covered in blood and motionless, skin mutated with pronounced veins. Some have been shot, some simply torn apart. Any attempt to check on the bodies or the wreckage will reveal them to simply be a hallucination, hands passing right through them.
In the center of it all is Messer, staggering aimlessly, his eyes wild and violent, the same pulsing veins across his bare skin, his gas mask shattered and hanging from his neck. Better hope you notice him before he notices you, because friend or foe no longer matters to him- he will attack.]
((ooc: PLEASE before tagging c- this is part of a plot, for which the ending is predetermined. so basically you can tussle with Messer, but he WILL try to kill anyone he comes across, so be careful and kindly leave him alive when it's over! cheers <3))
b
Messer being maintenance, he's probably been more than busy with the asteroid belt they just went through. Lyall himself was starting to feel restless with being cooped up, so unless he has business with particular people or wants to go shopping or exploring the mist, he spends most of his time outside as a wolf.
And this is how he approaches Messer after he sniffs out his scent. The smallish, sandy-colored wolf pads closer and sits about two meters away. He's still a bit wary about people's reaction to their wolf form, since so many people seem to think that they are savage beasts for some reason.]

[A good chunk of the population here can't see or hear him as usual, but that doesn't stop him from invading their space, peering over shoulders and stealing intel about the mist and the various gas mask attempts that have been made, as well as their varying success rates. If he notices those in the fleet who can hear him, he might drag them over in order to pick their brains a bit.]
Hey, do me a favour and ask them some questions for me.
( b. veynar; nerding it out )
[There's architecture to oogle, so Mikleo will be spending a fair bit of time examining and exploring the ruined structures that are available around the islands, stopping to make sketches, carefully brushing his hands over the stone to check for hidden sections and faded writing. He's lost in his own little world.]
Amazing... the attention to detail is exceptional here...!

[He's going to be kind of all over besides going too deep into the mist, so prompt @ him! let's do a thing!]

[omfg flying pigs. Ochako is so there, it sounds like a wild time. In practice, it's a bit less exciting than it sounds, but that doesn't stop her from immediately getting herself a job helping to herd livestock and gather some of the wacky-coloured fruits and vegetables in exchange for either pay or produce. You might find her guiding a flock of flailing, flying animals down the road with surprising ease for such a small girl, or pulling a huge cart of plucked produce behind her. She looks like she's doing okay, but an extra hand would be welcome, of course.
She's also happy to be helping anyone else who's gotten themselves a job here. Maybe you need a hand up picking the last fruit at the top of that tree over there...?]
( b. island construction )
[If it's not one job, it's another! Construction is her family's lifeblood, so she knows that stuff through and through. Between that and her Quirk, she's quite the asset when it comes to island construction. You'll find her on the outskirts of a new island or the edge of one already built, helping to move heavy equipment and enormous rocks. Unfortunately, big rocks moved by little girls equals low visibility... so try to duck!]
Ahhh, look out!
( c. let's go fly a kite )
[All work and no play blah blah blah. Ochako's interested in the kite-flying hobby, mostly because she's been working on her creativity skills ever since sort of unofficially taking over the abandoned art room on the Iskaulit, and this seems to be a good outlet for it. It's no fun to do alone, however, so hey! Innocent bystander, or a familiar friend! Have a kite in your face.]
Wanna help me decorate it?

He's going to try and make friends with as many as possible and kick ass in competition!

He doesn't actually much care, at first, where he'd be going or what he'd be doing, it's a simple desire, so he hangs around the larger islands' larger ports, trying to get himself hired onto any crew that needs hands, in exchange for time piloting.
Is Han making up things as a tour guide? Giving really bad advice on your fishing trip? Whatever, he's got important goals, here. ]
ii. a pirate's life for me
[ Like... flying!
He gets his turn in the cockpit, and predictably, he's pretty reckless. For some reason no one wants him racing around on sight-seeing tours, and he's too bored by trying to stay still in the flow of air currents for fishing runs.
Fortunately, there are people who don't mind a pilot who's a little daring as long as he's quick. So as their time passes, Han keeps hanging out in ports and keeps getting jobs... just not the same kind.
Find him in the shadiest dive-bars and run-down corners, where he's definitely not getting involved in smuggling, because that would be really irresponsible of him, wouldn't it? ]
iii. go wild

daryl dixon ][ the walking dead ][ ota
[ It doesn't take him long to decide to leave the ship, in the end. After what happened on the Waystation, he's been worried that they're floating through this galaxy leaving imminent destruction in their wake, like an interstellar undead Typhoid Mary. But you'd think by now they'd have heard about it-- if it spread as fast in the last system as on Earth-- so maybe it's all right, as long as they don't turn.
He hopes so, anyway.
The alternative is staying on the Tourist, and like hell is he gonna do that.
But it takes him a while to get off Veynar. The airships are a little unsettling, and he hasn't got a clue where he wants to go, anyway. So he wanders the streets of the floating island aimlessly, for a few days, sometimes straying far enough to see the edges, the distant mists. ]
ii. lend a hand
[ But he's not much for sight-seeing, when it comes down to it. In the Yadrolla system, he'd fallen into the games because it was easy to do. Something like what he'd done, at least the parts he'd gravitated to.
At first he gets himself hired doing security on ships, which is-- thankfully-- mostly quiet, though if anything happens (hi pirates), he knows what he's doing, even without the augment.
For a while, too, he ends up on the Riv islands, helping out with the harvest. It's quiet. Good, honest work, which keeps him busy, at least. Feels strange as hell, though, working for credits and not survival. ]
iii. off the map
[ Wildcard! Grab Daryl anywhere and everywhere, or pm/pp/carrier pigeon if you wanna hash something out! ]
i
By the time he strode up on Daryl, he had managed to find the rhythm, though he still looked a touch awkward. Was it possible to ride these giant birds gracefully? They did have a cute coo though, which was let out in curiosity when the bird took notice of Daryl. ]
Is this going to become a habit for us? Meeting in far off, quiet places?

Furiosa | Mad Max: Fury Road | OTA
[Furiosa appreciated jobs. Getting a chance to step outside the fleet, learn about a different world, all while working out some cramped muscles and getting paid for it. She offered her expertise toward construction, helping to build a new floating island.]
[She liked that, the use and stretch of muscles, feeling that you've been able to add something with the energy you're expending. It was such a difference from her own world, which at this point was starting to seem so far away. You may catch her smiling as she breaks for some water.]
Magnaball
[But sometimes you want to have some fun, too. Maybe you've come to see a game and find a familiar fleeter riding bird-back across the skies, or maybe you're on the opposing team and she's hot on your tail. This may be new territory for her, but she's adaptable - and driven.]
Kite Artistry
[And then there are the moments you just want to sit back and relax, those introspective breaths when you think about friends who have come and gone in your life, or how far you've come from the world you left behind.]
[Her kite is simple, painted green, and probably not as efficient or refined as some of the others, but she's at least got it in the air and that's good enough for her.]
Wildcard
[She likely won't be going into the mist, but otherwise feel free to find her around about the planet!]

Thor | MCU | OTA
[As per usual whenever the Fleet stops somewhere, Thor leaves the ship immediately and takes up lodgings on the planet itself. He books into a hotel where he'll be found for the rest of the stay (provided his credits hold out, which seems likely so far). About town he works on stocking up for the Blue Fish's food supplies and interrogating the locals about the rumoured treasures and terrors of the mist. He often visits a bar in the evenings, chatting to the patrons or just enjoying the views offered by the cliff-side establishments.]
b. exploring
[Thor's already had too many run-ins with the mist to be reckless with it again. The gas mask hanging from his belt is testament to his caution in that area. Still, that doesn't stop him from taking an air ship out to various islands to see what's around.
He ends up on the 'trail' of the mist monster, often found on islands that the beast has already attacked. Standing on the edges of huge bites taken out of the landscape, peering down into the murky mists below, he tries to fathom the size of the creature. It must be immense. Otherwise he scales the ruins left lying around, breaking open any chests he can find. After all, he found something in one once.]
c. an axe to grind
[That something was an axe. On one of the uninhabited islands, Thor heads to a field with the weapon in hand, hefting it thoughtfully. Time to test it out.
He hurls it through the air towards a nearby boulder, the axe smashing through it easily and leaving rubble in its wake. When he raises his hand again it comes spinning back to him and lands in his palm. He lobs it away from himself once more, letting it fly off before it returns.
Finally he flings it straight up into the sky, watching it speed off out of sight. It doesn't seem like it's coming back... though Thor doesn't look worried, merely intent on the point where it was last seen.]
Seems the same so far...

[ Although Sara's managed to make the standard issue jumpsuit look good, she's in the market for new clothes. She's definitely leaning more toward the grungy steampunk, but lifts a pair of dirtyish goggles with an intense stare of skepticism before putting them down and moving on toward the pants ]
I can make some of this work...
2) Shopping: Weapons
[ After picking up a few basic clothing items, Sara checks out the weaponry. She doesn't need anything fancy, which is good because this place doesn't have a ton to offer. She's weighing a sword in her hand, checking the balance and weight, before sighing and putting it back. It's just not quite what she wants. Maybe they have some staves toward the back... ]
3) Wild Card

Bruce Banner (Maybe a Hulk?) | MCU | OTA
[ Getting out of the metal box and onto another ship is admittedly a little counter-intuitive, but being out in the open air is actually a lot better. Bruce has never been on a ship quite like the one he's working on (and it's funny now that he has a reference for this now) and he is actually enjoying it. He spends a lot of time at the edge of the deck when he isn't helping clean or move packages, taking in the experience. Of course, when he is working he's trying not to run into people, which is actually hard when he's carrying a load of boxes or moving large items. ]
ii. Veynar
[ The big island is an array of all kind of colors and excitement, and Bruce is secretly looking into all of it. He helps out with the kite building, even flying one of his own, and marvels at both the air fish that he sees and the starides, dodging invitations for a ride with a demur laugh. But he definitely watches the races. Everything is a lot better than he thought it would be at first and he can't help but want to see the theater. ]
These are all flying islands? How do they stay up?
[ Magic mist power seems like a fake answer, guys. ]
iii. exploring (tempting fate and mist)
[ For the most part Bruce has been avoiding trouble. He doesn't really want to end up on the bad side of any creatures, but part of him does know that the Hulk's strength might just be what is needed to tackle the mysterious dangers of the mist. So he's very tentatively trying to creep through the mists, avoiding the darker areas but still attempting to investigate. He does his best with the cheap breathing mask, doubling up the cloths as much as he can and trying to avoid people just in case this all goes horribly wrong.
But, as usual, none of it really goes as planned. ]
What- what is that?
[ He's convinced that he's hallucinating at first, seeing the monster so vast that even with the distance he can make out the destruction. Bruce stops short, but doesn't flee at first, frozen by the image. ]
It's eating the land!
ii
[Good timing? Probably just good timing. Natasha figures at least she might as well take advantage of an opening while she has it.]
Somehow, I don't feel like you'll be satisfied with that answer though.

James Tiberius Kirk | Star Trek Beyond | OTA
[ As odd as it seemed for a flyboy like Kirk, he had chosen to help with farming on some of the islands. He had grown up farming, and while he couldn't say he enjoyed the time with his uncle, he did enjoy the quiet labor. When he wasn't getting himself into trouble as a kid, he had found solace in those fields, watching stars, or the quiet rhythm of work.
So he went by some farms, rolled up his sleeves, and could be found digging through the earth, or hauling baskets on his shoulders, sweat pouring down him, but looking pleased rather than put out by the work. Now and then, too, he might be heard singing under his breath as he worked. ]
Hey look ma, I made it
Everything's coming up aces, aces
If it's a dream don't wake me, don't wake me,
Hey look ma, I made it
b) general shopping
[ Any time there was a good opportunity to pick up a few things, Kirk took it. While his wardrobe was being handled by Biffy, he indulged in other items - books, a few knick-knacks here and there, a present or two. And food too. Definitely food. He could usually be found wandering the stalls with some in hand, and in the other a bit of worldly deliciousness.
Don't mind that stuff on his chin. Or maybe do. Before it drops on his new shirt. ]
c) the mist - explore and/or pick a hallucination
[ Naturally he went down into the mists. All the stories, all the whispers, all the legends. All the unanswered things. Something, down in there. What he expected to find, he had no idea, but he was going to go all the same. At first he went with one of the higher grade masks, and after a dive down or two, he came away with something new - his regulation jump suit. It was a far cry more advanced than what was available, so he began to wear it as he went deeper, not the HUD was much help all things told.
But of course, the mist came with risks.
Shadows might follow you, some man sized, creeping close like predators. Other's massive, chittering, monsters there to eat you in the dark. Or a swarm. Flowing together like a school of fish, deadly in their unison. A voice he never thought to hear again...
Oh, they've come to a dark place, haven't they? ]
d) hospital
[ Of course Kirk would push limits, go to deep, and there were consequences for that.
He ended up in the hospital, recovering from inhaling the mist when his suit could no longer handle the job. He was mostly quiet as he rested, though sometimes, in that quiet, if anyone came to see him, tears would be tracking down his face, whispering to himself through a bitten lip - sometimes so hard that it had bled. ]
I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...
e) wild card
[ bring it on! Feel free to hit me up for plotting or just toss me a thing ~ ]
d) Hospital
Or that had been the plan. Until he saw the tears.]
Jim? [Nope, was not expecting this at all. Quickly closing the space, Remy moved to take a seat on the bed itself rather than any nearby seat, reaching out a hand to brush his palm down Jim's cheek, a shot of concern going through him, one much stronger than when Remy had heard the other man was in the hospital.]

The Iron Bull (or The Steve) | Dragon Age | OTA
[ After the crap that went down on the way Waystation, the Iron Bull is tired of not having a proper weapon. The giant of a man, clad in a loose shirt and billowing pants he found earlier, can be found browsing the wares at a local armory, and he's paying particular attention to the battleaxes.
Or you can run into him at other shops, maybe run into him at the tailor (because he's getting a suit fitted for...some reason), or even a few shops off the beaten path, with wares of a more exciting (and intimate) variety, can be found.
Wherever you might find him, if he recognizes another customer as a fellow Fleeter, he'll turn and smile, and motion to whatever it is he's taking a look at. ]

Bucky Barnes (Panem) | MCU/The Games | OTA
[City life and shopping and all the crowds...it wasn't really his thing. But there were farms looking for help and that felt more at home than anything else had since leaving Panem. Within a day of going planetside, Bucky could easily be found at any one of the farms, dressed in jeans and a tank-top and hip-deep in dirt and animals and more at looking more happy and at ease than ever before.
If someone happens by, someone he knows or someone who's just curious about the farm or just passing through, he's quick to greet them with a smile nowhere near forced or contained and a wave. Anyone who might have met or known Bucky previously might even think a third, completely different, version has shown up.]
2) Mist
[Even if he'd rather spend all his time with the planet's animals and farmlands, he still feels the unavoidable pull towards work and a problem that needs solving. He's heard the stories, good and bad, that come with the mists. He's heard of the monster eating lands when there's so few left already. And Bucky Barnes can't stay away, even as part of him knows how much of a bad idea this is.
He's not alone, at least, he's not that foolish. A team was a good idea for something like this, but he'd settle for even just one person watching his back. As their ship dips closer to the darker mists and deeper into danger, Bucky double checks the cloth mask he has tied around his face and looks to his companion.]

One of the big things eating up his time is courier work. Not just on the islands, but between them, since he *has* heard rumors of pirates attacking airships making the trek between islands alone. And hey, he's got his bookbag, so he's already equipped for this sort of work, right? Too bad he's in a little too big a hurry to deliver post and parcels as quickly as possible to watch where he's going. Because there seems to be an awful lot of collisions. And frankly for someone his size, it's a pretty even split between hasty apologies at bowling someone over and just...eating dirt himself whenever he runs face-first into someone twice his size.
Someone please save this idiot kid from himself, it's really only a matter of time before he runs into the wrong person or gets pecked at by one of those giant birds.]
2. Security Through Superior Sarcasm
[Okay that's probably not a real thing, but when the other work gets slow or he's hearing about a particular uptick in attacks, he's definitely suiting up and signing on to provide security. Granted, most people are a little reluctant to hire a Napoleon-sized weirdo in red and blue tights, but he still gets a few takers. Probably helped by his offer to fork over half the pay if they don't get attacked.
Maybe you're a passenger on one of those ships and wanna know what's going on, or maybe you're also working the security detail and just a little concerned about how your diminutive colleague seems to spend his time climbing all over the ship. Especially the parts of the ship not meant to be climbed on, like the side of the hull or the framework around the balloons that kept the ship in the air.
Whatever, you'll be glad to have him once any aeronautical buccaneering starts to go down. Not like the pirates would ever expect to be boarded, and there's no telling just how much confusion he could spread among the ranks before the boarding party's even off the ship.]
