[He grins like an idiot at the kiss and compliment, and goes about showing how good a bird carer he can be by feeding the bird some greens he brought along and coaxing her to lay down nearby. Once he's sure she's settled, he joins Kaname by the tree, dropping down next to her and leaning back on his hands.

And then rocking forward immediately.]

Uh... She's a mechanic. A really good one. We ran a bunch of errands for her. But usually the stuff she wanted us to fetch, she used to upgrade the Regalia. She runs the garage in Hammerhead with her grandpa.

[She chuckles a little, shaking her head. He did answer the question with some good information, but not all of it. Kaname looks at him with a calm smile.]

Come on, Prompto. I've heard you talk about photography and chocobos, I know what it sounds like when you mention something you really like. [Or someone~]

Besides-- [She leans her back against him so he can hug her if he wants to. Either way, it's a good resting position.] I got what matters in the end.

[That's okay, then. He's not going to bring up Aranea any time soon, but it's good to know she's not upset about it. He puts his arms around her, nervousness turning to something more contemplative.]

It feels like it was ages ago, anyway.

Shifting, Kaname moves so she's facing him more comfortably. She started this conversation, so why not try and steer it to something more pleasant, like his friends?]

I've already met Ignis, but what's Gladio like?

Well, I mean, that's like, 90 percent of what he is! He likes camping, and all of that outdoorsy crap. He can be kind of a jerk. But he's dependable.

[Kaname grins. Even if there's not much information, the tone in his voice tells her enough.]

If he ever shows up here, you should tell him about the time you fought a bear. And about the amazing girlfriend you got.

[Unlike Ignis, who reads like a puzzle in the most complicated ways, Gladio is blessedly simple. Abrasive, but honest in word and action.]

Oh, I will definitely tell him all about my amazing girlfriend. [He glares into the distance while hugging her.]

[A huff escapes her as she's hugged. She reaches over and places a hand on his cheek to bring his gaze back towards her.]

Hmm. Lestallum. It's this small city near the Disc of Cauthess. They get their power from the meteor that fell there. It's super hot, but after all the camping out in the open, it was nice to be in a city again.

Camping can be nice sometimes, but I know the feeling of relief to get back to civilization.

[Kaname chuckles, recalling some missions.] Some planets I've been to are mostly wilderness, too.

[His nose wrinkles.] I guess. I mean, it's great for photos. But sleeping on the ground? And bugs? And when it rains? No thanks.

[She can't help but giggle at him, still relaxed in his hold.]

So if I ever wanted to go camping, I should ask someone else?

Thinking about it, I've never really ridden any sort of animal until now.
