[Hux agreed to meet Bull at the bar to discuss a few things. It had been some time since he last interacted with him and he was rather wary on the subject. He remembered Bull to be big, loud, and crude at times.

He sat at the bar with a drink in his hands. He took his time enjoying it while he kept an eye out for him. He shouldn't be too hard to miss, but Hux wasn't one to like being surprised either.]

[ The Iron Bull certainly was a difficult man to miss, what with standing a full head taller than the human-sized aliens, and enormous horns, and his propensity to wear no shirt, just the leather harness he arrived in. He did have shirts, but they were Hawaiian print and not exactly the impression he wanted to send potential employers. There was a time and a place for that shit.

He hadn't spoken to Hux beyond when the man had first arrived and while he wasn't sure his intentions, they didn't see to be anything contradictory to the rest of the fleet.

And when you didn't have a reputation to back you up and you were a giant horned man on an alien planet, it was nice to have a "normal" looking person with you when you were looking for a job. He found Hux at the bar, just as they'd agreed, and he slid onto the stool next to him. ]

Hey. Fancy meeting you here.

[ Seriously, though, this guy needed to loosen up. ]

[Hux couldn't help but eye roll at he greeting. It was easy to spot the other in the crowd. He had simply waited for him to join him and didn't give any indication till the Iron Bull had sat down. He was rather wary of the meeting itself and was unsure if this was something he would want to join in. For now he would hear him out.]

You did request to meet me here. What did you wish to speak about?

[Hux replied getting right to the point.]

Yeah. [ Bull ordered a beer before looking back to Hux. ] Last time we met, you mentioned doing mercenary work before your job with the army. These people hire mercs all the time, only not many who look like me. You interested?

[Hux couldn't help but tilt his head in curiosity. He was now somewhat interested in this discussion.]

I may be interested, but I need a particular gun in order to be of use. I used a sniper rifle for most of that work.

[theirondragon]

Sniping's for assassins, Hux. We're talking about bodyguard work.

[ And he smirks, then. This is teasing, Hux. Get used to it. ]

Or is that the only weapon you know how to use?

Isn't that similar work? The objective is to be able to protect the person.

[Hux doesn't take teasing too well. He raised an eyebrow at the statement.]

I can use an array of weapons. The sniper rifle is my preferred weapon.

Nah, assassinations usually political. Most of the time merchants hire bodyguards, or brothels.

[ He laughs. ]

Look, Hux. If we're going to work together, you're going to have to relax. They use that word much where you're from?

You're kidding right? My line of work never allowed me to relax. Especially when I had to pick up after a man child who's supposed to be my co-comannder and now our Supreme Leader at home. There was never a moment to relax.

If I must I can always set my blaster or sniper rifle to stun. But it ruins all the fun in it.

[theirondragon]

[And to that, Bull chuckles slightly, shaking his head.] See, you should have just dropped that guy a long time ago. That's what I did, took his best guys with me. He didn't like it, but he saw reason eventually.

[And he raises an eyebrow.]

There's no fun in killing people who don't deserve it, General.

At let him run my army and loose everything I worked hard to gain? No, thank you.

[Yet the last comment had him thinking.]

How did you manage to do that?

I like to call it survival of the fittest.

Because we're mercs, Hux. Here? Now? We do the job somebody hires us for. Some merchant wants his goods to get somewhere safely, that's what we do. Pirates try to board, we give them the idea they don't want to. They attack anyway? Then you do what you have to do, but the job's what's important.

Bounty Hunters take scalps. Mercs don't get good reps by murdering everybody they go up against.

Fine. I can handle any job you throw at me with the way you want it. I'll only kill if absolutely necessary.

[theirondragon]

Good. this isn't your playground here, General.

That's one mistake right there thinking that. Let's see what you can throw my way and see where this goes.
