[It's a party for a narcissistic redhead who likes to be reminded she's alive.  Come celebrate!  Alternately, come sneak in and steal the food!  There's a bar set up for drinks drastically lowered to cost-price or to-be-paid-later-tab, a non-alcoholic punch in case of wandering minors (spike it and Nami will end you) and random snacks.

Oh, and a pool.  Which is heated.  Kind of important, that part.

Step right up, I'm reliably informed we'll have Thor with his shirt off, take pictures while you can.]

[Darn those tunnels! They always lead to mixed signals!]

I think I can handle that. [He comfortably holds her in the position that she's placed his hands in.] Lead away.

[She does a very simple step which is good since it would be hard for him to see her feet clearly like this. Also, stepping on toes underwater just doesn't have the same impact. This might be genius. She can't quite help herself. She starts humming, not even really remembering what song it is or where she heard it. Definitely safer than reading any unnecessary meaning into it! Just stored in her brain with dancing memories of course.]

[Even in water there is a natural grace to Vash's movements. He easily falls into "step" with Kitty as she leads them in the dance. He doesn't know the song that she's humming so she's lucky in that respect.] That's a pretty tune.

[She stops, laughing softly.] I didn't realize I was doing that. I guess I need a rhythm after all.

[He smiles and gives her cheek a quick kiss.] Please continue, I liked it. And I think I'd do better with a rhythm too.

Okay, I think it was something like... [She starts humming again, not from the beginning because who can remember such things, but from the part that sticks in her head the best and looping it wherever she can that makes the most sense to her. She rests her head against his shoulder. They're both wet and just having a dance in the pool. Nothing to see here.]

[Just move along people! Completely nothing to see at all!

Vash gives a content sigh as they dance around the pool. Enjoying the sound of her voice and humming. Happy he hadn't completely freak her out.

It was so nice. Listening to someone he cares about so much hum a tune like this.]

[Eventually the humming stops, but she keeps swaying gently with him, head pressed against him.] Hey, Vash?

[He keeps the swaying going even as the humming stops. Peering his head down at her when she says his name.] Yeah?

I don't know if this is something I should tell you or not. [She tips her head to look at him. She doesn't want to make it "a thing" but it kind of already is and she doesn't want things to be awkward for him and to not know why.]

Well, I trust your judgement. [Mostly.] But, I gotta admit, I'm really curious now.

Yeah. [She doesn't really feel like she can bring it up like that without going into it. Might as well.] You know, Chekov, right?

Yeah. We've hung out a few times now. He's a pretty good guy! I like him. [He smiles thinking about his past few times meeting the guy. Then Vash's smile drops a little bit.] Whyyyyyyyyyy?

[What is that reaction? Then again, maybe he sees it coming?] Remember when you were giving him advice about a girl he likes? [Just softening love to like here. Don't mind her.] I'm the girl.

[Vash lets out a sigh of relief. Relaxing a little in her arms.] Oh? Is that it? I was worried for a moment that something had happened to him or that he was some how actually evil or someth--

WHAT?! REALLY?! [That slow dance they were doing is coming to a sudden stop as he tries to process this new information.]

[She looks around. She doesn't mind them getting looks exactly. She just doesn't know how close Chekov is at the moment. She'd rather him not hear.] Shh. Yes.

[Thankfully, Vash also seems to have gotten a clue this time as he's also looking around to make sure not he's not too close. He lowers his voice a bit before speaking again.] Really? I had no idea!!

I sort of figured. Anyway, he knows we are... [what?] He knows about us.

[Vash groans as he remembers the things that he said.] I, ah, I hope he took it well?

Not the best, but okay I think. [She hopes.] So, I don't know, since you know each other I figured you should know in case things are weird or... I don't know.

Yeah, I suppose that's a good idea. So I don't accidentally tell him to date you... again.

[He mutters as he looks away from her with his ears turning slightly red.]

Yes, please don't do that...again. [She feels so bad for Pavel though it's also strange to think about him being this sad over not getting to be with the wreck that is the SS Pryde.] I don't want it to be any harder on him.

I won't. [God. He felt like he was stealing Kitty away from two people now.] You know, if anything ever did change? I mean, the way you feel-- but I'm not trying to say that you will! [He really wasn't. This was a completely "if" sort of thing.] That would be okay. I'd understand.

[Pavel had said they were a couple before. So there must be something that could possibly be there between them. Right?]
