System Catch-All
Who: Keith, OPEN
Broadcast: You can contact him via the network, but he's not broadcasting out, no. ^_^
Action: Yes, all the action! There are a lot of planet-based things here in the post, but I'm open to Iskaulit things or on the other ships if you guys want!
When: Upon arrival in the Yangur system, until next drift period (Keith will be in a coma from July 4th to 11th for canon update)
{OOC: The prompts are available for the entire time the Fleet is in this system. However, depending on the date you pick, you'll either get Keith before his update (before July 4th) or after his update (after July 11th). I'm posting this kind of late due to real life things that got in the way, but I'm open to backtagging if you want to do something pre-update! Just note it somewhere in your tag if you want pre-update, post-update, or if you want me to flip a coin for you. :)}
=====
i. Mist Exploring
[Before July 4th, Keith attempted to explore the mist with his Paladin armor, fairly convinced that it's space-walk-worthy qualities would keep him safe from the effects. It didn't. He did the same with his Blade of Marmora suit after July 11th, and had the same failed results. See comment threads below for some of Keith's fears that might pop up, or create your own thread if you want your character's fear to show instead!
During one of the threads with his own fears, he will find the Black Bayard from home.]
Fear Threads
1. Fear of Abandonment
2. Fear of Failure
3. Fear of Losing Control
=====
ii. Veynar Hospital
[Guess who landed himself in the hospital pre-update after realizing his Paladin armor didn't completely stop the effects of the mist...
Guess who did it again post-update when he decided to attempt the same thing with his Blade of Marmora suit instead, and got the same results.
Yeah. Care to visit him? He might have ended up a little nervous from the resulting augment glitch (read: paranoid as all get out).]
=====
iii. Kerrior Hawks
[When not landing himself in trouble in the mist, recovering from mist-induced crippling paranoia at the planet's hospital, or sleeping through a canon update coma, Keith discovered magnaball and kerrior hawks. He didn't attempt to play a game because that looks like it needs a lot of practice, but he definitely watched, and hit up one of the open training camps to give it a try because... riding a giant hawk... dude. How could you not?]
=====
iv. Kite Flying
[And, in other recreational activities, Keith found that flying kites was actually pretty cool. Find him hanging out with the red kite (which happened to match the other Team Voltron kites), attempting to pull off fancy kite stunts. He was about 50/50 on crashing vs succeeding.]
=====
v. Wildcard!

He's in the next room over from Keith, but manages to escape from his room long enough to visit his boyfriend. Because to hell with what's going on with him, it's Keith that's his first concern.
Lance knocks on the door before letting himself in, clad in his light blue hospital gown.]
...Hey. You're awake?
no subject
[Keith answer was immediate as he snapped his head up to glare at whoever had just come into the room. The knock had startled the daylights out of him. His was high-keyed at the moment, the mists having glitched his augment again to leave him a mess of paranoia.]
Yeah... I'm awake...
[He was huddled up in a ball on his bed, his arms wrapped tightly around his knees. He had the room dark because people could see in from outside if he left the lights on, and he didn't want them able to see him.]
no subject
Can I sit down? Or do you want me to--
[He swallows.]
Do you want me to leave?
no subject
Y-you can stay...
[He sounded hesitant, and then he rushed his next statement, like he was saying it from compulsion more than actually wanting to.]
But you have to tell me something that proves you're you.
[Sorry, Lance. Keith was pretty freaked out right now. He was trying hard not to be, but it wasn't working very well.]
no subject
Why wouldn't I be me? I am me. Your Lance. Your idiot boyfriend w-who fell in love with your mullet.
no subject
Just... just do it, okay? I kn-now it sounds dumb, but- I just- I-I need to know!
no subject
How can I prove it? Do you want me to tell you about our first date? The time you beat me to a love confession?
no subject
It has to be something between us... just us. You can't have told anyone else.

i: Mist Exploring - Fear of Abandonment
I had faith in you, Keith. You just couldn't let it go. You failed as a leader and ran away. I'm disappointed in you.
Shiro turned, walking away. As he faded into the mist, the rest of Team Voltron appeared, all of them angry.
You're broken, Keith. I should have just given up on you like everyone else.
Keith reached out towards them.]
WAIT! Don't leave me!
[He started to run after them, but they started to fade into the mist.]

Keith? Buddy?
no subject
What?
[Keith wasn't hurt, but he definitely was very scared.]
no subject
I just want to check on you, buddy. How are you feeling? Do you need anything?
no subject
I'm fine. I don't need anything.
[Which was also a very knee-jerk reaction type of thing for him to say in response. He was clearly on edge. He was projecting anger to protect himself, and push people away. But, there was something of a recognition in his look.]
How do I even know it's you?
[Keith needed people to prove themselves right now. He was scared.]
no subject
Wait. What? Shiro can only blink at him, totally confused by the sudden question.]
E-Excuse me? What do you mean?
no subject
Keith was definitely not in a good mental place.]
no subject
"It". You mean the mist? [Please just let it be that.]

i: Mist Exploring - Fear of Failure
He was running out of time. Everyone was scattered. He couldn't reach them. No matter how fast he ran through the mist, no matter how hard he tried to stretch, he just couldn't catch the other members of his team. They kept getting separated. There was too much distance. Too far, too slow, too late... people yelling, getting hurt... he couldn't think fast enough. He couldn't figure out a plan. The controls of his ship were sluggish and unresponsive... then they were too fast and he lost control. The weight on his shoulders got heavier. He was responsible for them. Their lives were in his hands.
There was only one option... He had to stop the attack himself. If they couldn't come together, if they were too far away, he had to act. He had to save them. He couldn't fail!
He screamed, running hard, weapon drawn, ready to attack the ominous shadow in the mist before him... aiming to destroy whoever it was before they could destroy his team.
Here was hoping the shape he couldn't recognize wasn't someone he didn't want to hurt... You might want to duck.]
i: Mist Exploring - Fear of Losing Control
You're hopeless.
You'll never succeed.
We don't want you here.
Keith growled at them, an angry sound, hurt and fearful of what the words floating through the mist meant. Another foster family didn't want him. He was getting suspended again. More detention. Another fight on his record.
You can't just hit people.
What is wrong with you?
You need to control your temper.
That boy is doomed for trouble.
I can't help him anymore.
Just give up... he's a hopeless case.
Keith's growl grew sharper, more injured sounding.]
NO!
[He yelled at them.]
I'm not like that! Why does everyone keep giving up on me?
[A distinct voice... male... but unfamiliar to anyone in the Fleet... Iverson from the Garrison training school.
You're inability to control your temper is going to get you in trouble some day... just like the crew of the Kerberos mission.
Keith charged towards it.]
YOU'RE WRONG!
iv
Is this sort of thing a common hobby among humans?
no subject
[Keith glanced back and then smiled a little with a small shrug.]
I guess. Not everyone knows how to do it, and it's not as big now as it used to be. Now it's mostly enthusiasts and people who like to try to make their kites do crazy things. It used to be really popular a long time ago. And kids tend to still like it.
[He looked over to see if Ulaz had one.]
You should try it.
no subject
I have tried it already. Shiro convinced me to do it.
[But now another question]
So it is possible to make them do tricks?
no subject
[Keith nodded at the question about tricks.]
I've been trying a few. It's not easy. But, if you pull the strings right, you can get it to dive and twist and do some cool stuff.
no subject
Hmmm... I'm not sure if I would try that, but perhaps others here will show off their skills.
no subject
Yeah... he is.
[He looked back at the kite and then shrugged.]
Maybe. I've been trying stuff. It's not as easy as it looks.
no subject
[He looked up at the kites in the air]
Of course I wouldn't have tried tricks like that when I was just getting it to fly. Especially not with Shiro's kite.
[Nope, didn't want to ruin Shiro's kite]
