Four Men and a Little Lady???
Who: The crew of the Tourist and potential visitors
Broadcast: probably not
Action: on the Tourist!
When: The week of April 12-18
[So the Tourist finally gets a female crew member! Hurray for representation! Or something. This is going to make quarters kind of awkward, but at least they have shields now, right?]

[First they get attacked, then there's no gravity, and now this. Never a dull moment around this place...]

Hello? Are you busy? [he could be staring at the most IMPORTANT THING IN THE UNIVERSE!!! she's not sure, but wants to err on the side of politeness]
no subject
Oh! Hey there, newbie. It's Colette, right? [He gestures vaguely with one hand.] I saw you on the network, when you first arrived.
Nah, not really. [He glances back into the room and frowns a bit.] Just contemplating sleeping arrangements, is all. I'm Axel, I'm the captain; what'cha need?
no subject
It's really nice to meet you, Axel. I didn't need anything, I was just looking around the ship. [and as she kind of leans to the side so she can peer into the dorm room, it seems that he had just been blocking her way, haha. But anyways, her eyes light up at the room]
Is this where we sleep? Wow, we have our own beds and everything! [bed is a... generous term]
no subject
[He frowns at the room, then rubs the back of his neck.]
Well, yeah, everybody gets their own bed, if you can call it that, but... I thought it was a little weird for a girl to sleep in the same room with a bunch of men. We're gonna get another upgrade, so we all get our own rooms, but that won't happen til next month, unfortunately. So I was trying to figure out if we could move one of the beds someplace so you'd have a little more privacy...
no subject
Oh, um... [she hadn't even thought about it what way] Before I came here, I was with a group that was travelling together. We had a few men with us, but we all slept near each other. So... I really don't mind! But I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, so I can sleep somewhere else?
[she doesn't know where yet, but she'll figure something out. Set up a sick hammock in the engine room]
no subject
Er-- That's not quite what I meant. I just thought you might be uncomfortable. I'm not kicking you out or anything. [He's a little abashed now.] I guess if it's not a big deal to you, I mean... I don't mind. [He's not quite sure what to make of girls, but mostly because the only exposure he's really had to any on a daily basis was Larxene. And Larxene was grade-A batshit insane.
[He makes a beckoning gesture.]
C'mon, I'll give ya the grand tour. It's a little messy right now, since we lost gravity for a while. Some of Asteffiel's plants came unpotted and got dirt all over the place.

Seems we'll be in need of an upgrade.

[So rude, not being around to threaten death to. ]
Perhaps you could hang up a curtain for her?
no subject
[He rubs his chin.] There's a thought. We've got some extra blankets now that we got the upgrade, maybe one'a those'll work.

I don't wanna kick anybody out. It's not the penthouse, but they're still beds. [He gives Fenris a bit of a frown.] You know you don't have to sleep in the armory...
no subject
[He crosses his arms, giving a shrug of his shoulders, a gesture of self-preservation.]
It is for as much your benefit as it is my own. I...do not sleep well.
[He'd rather not disrupt everyone with his nightly nightmares.]
no subject
You too, huh? [Axel's nightmares are less frequent, but he still rarely sleeps for more than three hours at a time. This is why he naps. He glances back at the cots then at Fenris again.] You know, I wonder if you could drag your cot into the armory. S'gotta be better than sleeping on the floor, right?
no subject
I tried, once. It doesn't quite fit through the door. It is fine, though. I have slept in worse places.
[At least he has blankets and pillows here.]

How much we need t'get rooms? Or at least a room. For the li'l lady.
[ He can't expect her to lodge up with a bunch of men. It's improper on so many levels, and disrespectful in others. ]
no subject
It'll take two payments, it always does, to get an upgrade. Asteffiel and I split it before so we could get rid of the bunk beds, so if we do that one more time we'll get private rooms to ourselves. It won't be 'til next month, though, so I'm wondering what to do 'til then. Since Solas transferred, we lost the civilian room, so we don't even have a couch anymore.
no subject
After all, it's necessary. Totally and completely, now that there's a girl on board. Plus, well. He's had a few nervous mornings where he's woke up and prayed his tail didn't make a surprise appearance in the night. ]
I can, er. Try sleepin' in one of the shuttles. Been meanin' to get familiar with 'em anyway.
no subject
I don't wanna kick anybody out. I mean, the cots are hardly high-end bedding, but I don't wanna make anybody sleep in a bucket seat. That's terrible for the spine, you know? [He knows. He's napped just about every place you can imagine.] We'll figure something out, and once we get the second upgrade we won't have to worry about it anymore.
[He likes the crew well enough--even Fenris has become significantly more tolerable lately--but you can't just turn off a decade of being an assassin. Sleeping with other people in the room just doesn't really work for him.]
no subject
[ He pauses. ] Unless you want someone t'keep an eye on her. If so, I can sleep in the hall, yeah?
no subject
I'm not really worried she'll get into trouble or anything. She seems young, but... well, we haven't really been introduced yet, so I guess I'll get a better idea about her when I bump into her.
[He doesn't really think anyone on this ship is the sort to do anything creepy to a girl, but he doesn't really know any of them very well. He thinks he's a decent judge of character, but it's hard to tell so early in any acquaintanceship.]
no subject
[ Ladon's already spotted her, working in the engine room. She looks like Violette might when she gets older. ] No one in particular here's made me worried but... Y'just never know with folks, yeah? And new ones showin' up all the time. And all the other ships comin' in and outta here.
no subject
One does not preclude the other. But yeah, I get ya. Anybody from any ship could come over here at any time, and that's a little unsettling. Hard enough to sleep with four other people in the room, I don't like the thought of just anybody dropping by in the middle of the night. I'll sleep a lot easier when I've got my own door I can lock.
