YES!

[She...she may have let her enthusiasm get the better of her here. Sorry about your ears Cloud, she is just very passionate about having things to punch.]

Have you tried punching your crappy ship? It may not be a perfect substitute, but I find it helps. Somewhat, at least.
tough_love: (Wait WHAT?!)

The gym is not ideal, no, but- wait, your ship does not fix itself when you break it?

[The only explanation she's giving is via an attached file.

A video of her just tearing a console out of the floor and hurling it into the far wall, where it's smashed even further.

And then she just sits back, moves the camera a bit, and waits. It's all of maybe two seconds before the dented wall pops back to normal, all the pieces from the console reassemble themselves, and the console slides across the floor and reattaches itself from where she tore it out.

And no she has absolutely no idea it's her augment responsible, not the ship itself]

While flattering, I really doubt you understand the significance of that offer.

You are proposing.
tough_love: (See? Simple!)

[personal profile] tough_love 2018-08-25 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
But that is how we propose! Anyone not interested avoids challenging us to personal combat for that very reason.

So, if he wins, yes. Or, if she wins. It really does not matter.

Now, shall I assume you are withdrawing that request?
tough_love: (I brought gifts!)

[personal profile] tough_love 2018-08-26 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well...to a point, yes. It would need to be treated more as a game than a proper battle- fighting until one of us yields or falls unconscious would be unwise.

Withdraw the challenge, and I will issue one of my own. It has been enough to avoid complications in the past, I see no reason it would not work again.

Very well. Then I challenge you to a friendly competition. The first to ten points wins the round, one point for each instance one of us knocks or throws the other to the deck. We would be fighting unarmed, of course.

[Less because she's concerned about any accidental maimings, terrible injuries build character after all, and more because she's reasonably convinced her hammer would end up damaging anything he brought with him. And that would just be rude.]

Two rounds should be enough for today. Is that an acceptable alternative?
