[ Ino, what'choo doin'? She looks... strained. Stressed, but trying to hold it together. She's sitting in front of the camera, taking a deep breath as if to prepare herself for what she is about to say. ]

Hey, guys. This is really sudden, but I need to ask a favor of anyone who'd listen. It's important! I've got this friend... he's got a huge problem. Back where he's from, some people can hold a lot of powers in them, not magic or anything like that, and they need to take even more in sometimes or they go crazy. Or die.

Does anyone have any powers they could... lend him? He'll give them back, he promises, it's just—[ She reaches up, clutches at her chest like it's hurting her to think about it. Judging by the slight sheen of sweat on her face, maybe it is. ]—he needs help really badly. I'm worried about him, and there's not much I can do...

[ Her head dips, long bangs covering her face before she sucks in a breath, part for the show and part out of real difficulty in keeping herself together right now, before her hand snaps out and she turns off the feed to collect herself. ]

[Muttered because this is just getting weirder and weirder by the moment. ]

[ She's tense, but she at least crosses her arms over her chest instead of being in a more defensive position. She's still got the knife in her grip, just in case, but ... ]

This had better be real good.

[ There's blatant indignation here because it should be obvious. People don't listen and she's mad, frustrated and upset and yet there's an opportunity dangling in front of her. Her emotions are haywire and she practically yells. ]

Powers. Weren't any of you listening to that?!

[ishere]

We were all listening.

[ tadashi is sort of using his... stern hiro voice now.... as he takes a step or two forward. his hands are up, palms outward, trying to be as nonthreatening as he possibly can. ]

But I don't think that I have any powers that would be useful to you. [ unless you count his a+ programming skills or his giant elephant ears. ] We'll find some other way to get you the help you need. Alright?

[He rubs his temple]

I was...actually distracted because you were using my friend's face. Which you really shouldn't go around doing that if you're truly asking for help.

[Makes you look so bad]

But...you need powers to survive? Is that it?

[ino]

[ TADASHI WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING don't step towards this person THEY COULD COME OUT OF NOWHERE AND STAB YOU. She's stepping up with him, and ... not making any effort at all to look non threatening. She really just wants to make sure he gets out of this stupid encounter unscathed. ]

Listening to what?! Don't tell me you made a broadcast like this!

Yes!

[ She's pointing toward Tadashi and Allen with abandon, not caring how erratic it is or how it might seem. It's hard for her to hold still, to keep talking and do anything but scream and yell and cry and lash out, but someone is finally getting it. ]

Yes, I do. God, do you know what would have happened if I used my own face? If anybody from here is from the same place as me, realized what I am?! I belong to the fucking government, any government, of course I'm not going to ask for help with my own face! I'm not stupid.

[ishere]

No, I don't know what would have happened if you used your own face - and it doesn't make it alright to impersonate someone else here, there are other ways to get a message across-

[ urggh. but tadashi just cuts himself off, because there's a time for something like this, and it's just. really... not right now. his words come quick, careful but blunt. ]

Look. I can try to help you find help. But when this is over, we're gonna work this out, you're gonna apologize to her, and we're gonna figure out all of these details later. First of all, I need you to tell me what you want me to call you, and then we need to figure out what we can do to help you get what you need.

[Allen takes a moment to think as Tadashi talks. He really doesn't trust this. This seems like a con. There isn't even a government here. And let's face it- anyone who collects powers tends to be a big red flag in Allen's book.]

[But. Tadashi seems set on helping. And if they don't "help" this person, they might go after someone else. Someone with more dangerous power....]

[Ugh. Mana forgive him. Tadashi, you owe him dinner. ]

...If you're willing to cooperate with Tadashi, I can loan you one of my powers.

[ino]

You're pretty damn stupid if you think you could impersonate me, take advantage of the fact that there are people here who trust me, and get away with it. We have absolutely no reason to trust you, especially with something so important.

[ Sorry. Had to get that out there.

Anyways, she's turning to Allen, concerned now. She's ... less worried about Allen than she might be others, mostly because Allen has so MANY powers, but ... ]

[ This is all uncomfortable with an edge of familiarity. Those big brother tones... she scowls and pulls her arms around herself as if in shelter while leaning her shoulder to the ship she's standing next to. It takes a moment for her to catch up on what was said and a look of panic crosses her face — she can't use the names she's been using for the same reason she can't use her face. Those can be traced here and she's nothing if not paranoid about being caught out. So, she blurts out the first thing that really comes to mind as far as good names go: ]

Jay.

[ At Allen's offer, she realizes everything else can come later. This, right there and now, is more important. Having someone actually help is... so much more important. She looks at Allen, perking up considerably. She is going to ignore the hell out of Ino, though. R u d e. ]

Really? What do you have?

[ishere]

[ tadashi himself would offer in a heartbeat if he had anything worth offering. as it is, though, he cringes a little internally at the thought that allen might actually feel pressured into this, and casts a sidelong glance his way. ]

Are you sure about this?

[save_the_souls]

[Jay. That name doesn't sound familiar and he saw that look of panic. He's going to make a note to check to roster later, but he's got a good feeling it's likely a lie- just like this person's face.]

[Truthfully? He isn't sure about this in the slightest. He doesn't trust this person as far as Tadashi could throw him, and his curse was important to him. More than it's mere capabilities, it was the only thing he had left of...]

[But...that was probably the case for many of the people with powers here.]

If I don't, then they'll just take someone else's powers. At least I've been without it before and it can't be used to harm anyone else. [Other than maybe scare the crap out of them, but eh, whatever]

[He'll look over now at "Jay" stepping forward and activating his eye so they can see it better.]

It's a simple sensing ability. It allows me to detect demons and trapped souls. I'm afraid my other power would react badly if anyone tries to take it, but my sensing ability should be alright.

Will this do?

[ino]

[ On the other hand, Ino is sure she hasn't seen anyone named Jay on the roster recently. So she narrows her eyes suspiciously at "Jay" as Allen explains. As far as his powers go it's not really one that could be used to do much harm, so she isn't too concerned about what's being put on the table, there.

She does take another step forward to speak up again: ]

There's the matter of giving it back, too. There needs to be some way to hold you accountable.

[mysterzie]

[ It's the stepping forward that has her closing the distance to match. That eye is fascinating even if it sounds rather useless in the long run. It's a power and she reaches out to touch. She wants to feel it out but there's no vocalization of the intent here. ]

Yeah... Yeah, it will. It's a power.

[ She pauses, however, when Ino speaks and turns to regard her, hand halfway to basically poking Allen in the forehead. ]

Accountable?

[ishere]

Accountable. Do you have something we can hold onto while you take the power? Collateral. Not because we don't trust you -

[ or, well, lmfao. not because... TADASHI doesn't trust you, aaron ]

- but just to make sure you don't... decide you really like keeping it. That's all.

[Allen remains silent, since honestly, he'd be actually amazed if this Jay person decides to hold onto this power that's actually kind of on the shitty side. When Lavi saw what his eye saw, he threw up. He even remember taking forever to get used to it. But he's not going to point that out, so whatever, he'll let you guys hammer that out 8D ]

[ino]

[ She eyes Tadashi. She clearly doesn't trust Aaron whatsoever, but at least he's got the right idea.

She glances back ]

Collateral, or, you know, even something like where to find you when the agreed upon time -- whatever Allen decides that should be -- is up? Is this even the ship you're assigned to? I know for a fact Jay isn't your real name, so, you know -- something like the truth would be a start.

If you want anyone to trust you enough to lend you something so important -- assuming you actually do need it, and you aren't just lying about it to go around collecting? Being sneaky and going behind people's backs about it is probably the dumbest possible way to go about it.

[ That's... an odd concept. She gets it in theory, but it just gives her the creeps to think about taking a different one only to give one of her own away. It isn't going to mess her up any more than she already is, her body used to the one's she's holding and craving something new despite it. She narrows her eyes.

Her identity is much more important here than anything else. Identity is the forbidden fruit, something she doesn't even allow for herself. So collateral rather than information. Her hand shifts, pointing to Tadashi. ]

You want a power? I don't have anything else.

[ishere]

[ tadashi glances at allen and ino, as if to ask what the hell he's supposed to do here -- but if this'll ensure that allen receives his own power back, then. sure. ]

Alright. I'll... hold onto it, I guess.

[save_the_souls]

[Whoa, whoa whoa- what. TADASHI YOU DON'T JUST TAKE AN OFFERED POWER JFC. NO WONDER YOU DIED]

Wait! Be careful, Tadashi!

[He looks at "Jay" with concern.]

What kind of power are you planning to give him?

[ino]

[ Oh my god. She looks at Tadashi incredulously, and then to "Jay", waiting for an answer. She was about to ask the same thing, but -- thanks Allen!

Moments like these are when she wishes Tadashi already knew about her telepathy so she could tell him to have some kind of concern for his own safety without interrupting the conversation at large here ... ]

[mysterzie]

[ That gets a rather frustrated grunt and she throws her hands into the air. ]

It's just an eye-thing! You can see in every direction at once with it.

[ishere]

Sounds.. disorienting. [ tadashi scrubs his fingers through his hair, unsure, before he shrugs. ] Look, guys, if she really needs Allen's power, she's not going to give me something that makes my head explode. I get the feeling Allen would probably rescind his offer if that happened. Am I wrong?

[I don't know Tadashi it's getting real tempting with all the stupid you're doing-]

[But, Tadashi is an adult, so...]

If you're...sure, Tadashi. I suppose an eye for an eye is an acceptable payment.
