at least she didn't set the ships on fire
Who: Lup & OTA
Broadcast: Yes
Action: SS Heron, SS First Breath (a bit), Planetside
When: today & throughout the event
( a; arrival on the Heron )
[Lup's arrival on the bridge, confetti and all, is as much a shock to her as anyone else who might witness it. For a moment, she's just quietly stunned.
And then she lets out the loudest WHOOP her lungs can muster and goes through the very strange process of experiencing the ship:
1) she does, like, seven cartwheels in every hallway
2) she just starts touching stuff. walls, consoles, cupboards, furniture. life is so tactile!
3) she finds an actual real live person and grabs their hand immediately to shake
4) she flops dramatically on the nearest bed or couch, regardless of whose it is
She does every single one of these with a huge, shit-eating grin on her face. She has a body again! Holy shit, it feels amazing! It's time to party.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE GREAT, RIGHT]
( b; First Breath )
[Her time on the First Breath is brief, and she tries to time it in a way that Taako won't be around for it, but that doesn't meant that other residents won't spot an elf sort of sneaking around the kitchen and down the hall one day. Catch her, if you can! Those who have already met Taako might notice that she looks exactly like him.
She'll be leaving a fancy new wooden spoon behind in one of the kitchen drawers before she goes.]
( c; text & voice broadcast )
this is a test, looking for some intel. I need to know two things:
1) when you read or hear these words, can you understand it, or is it just static?
2) if you experience static, is it every word, or just some?
GRAND RELIC. BUREAU OF BALANCE. PHOENIX FIRE GAUNTLET. VOIDFISH.
IPRE. LIGHT OF CREATION. HANGING ARCANEUM. THE HUNGER.
GREG FUCKING GRIMALDIS.
[She repeats the full message verbally, and then, after a pause-]
Sorry for the noise if all you get is static, spaceballs. I'm just trying to do some science.
[Weirdly enough none of that should be static for anyone- except for 1 specific person, of course. Sorry Taako.]
( d; planetside )
[Lup's priorities are thus: 1) scrap the heck out of everything useful that she can get her hands on, and 2) FIGHT ALL OF THE THINGS.
She can be found digging her way through piles of metal and parts, elbows deep into whatever might be useful. She won't touch the piles that look like actual garbage, but appliances, vehicles, decor and kitchenware- she's all in. Even if something looks broken, she gives it a considering look before adding it to her "keep" pile; after all, magic powers can fix a lot of broken stuff. Want to come and help with the dumpster diving? She seems to be an old pro at this.
She can also be found signing up for as many gambling arena tournaments as she has time and spell slots for, both the solo fights and the partnered ones, or just fighting against monsters. Are you joining the fight, too? Because she's looking for a good, tough-looking (or at least deceptively strong) scrapper to join her! Let's go punch some aliens! She's been isolated for far too long, and she's eager to give her long-dormant power a solid test-drive.]

Yeah, no, definitely heard it all. Nothin' like static. ... Do I wanna know?
no subject
I mean, I can explain it, but I'd better not do it with this thing. There's a certain someone that might flip their shit if I dump more static in that direction, and I just got here so I don't know how to de-publicize this convo. Get me?
voice
And like, I'm not gonna pry, that'd be rude, especially since you just got here! But, I can show you how to lock conversations and shit, if you want. It's not always completely foolproof, but it's good enough usually? [ You can pretty much hear the shrug in his voice. ]
Oh, and welcome to the fleet, by the way. Name's Eithan. What's yours?

Hey, you keep touching the Heron like that and I'm gonna have to ask you to buy 'er dinner.
no subject
Holy shit, check out this minotaur-looking mofo. He's huge! Awesome. His posture is non-aggressive, too, so the sparks on her hands quickly wink out, and she raps her knuckles against the wall again.]
Nah. I can feel the vibe in here, I can tell she's into it.
no subject
She likes it rough, so I hope you can deliver.
[And then he stands up from the wall. Yes, Lup. That guy's about seven and a half feet tall. And he comes closer, offering a very large hand.]
The Iron Bull, First Mate and local maintenance guy. Welcome aboard.

Hoooo, someone must have pissed you off to get that kind of mention.
no subject
You heard that part!? What the fuck!?
no subject
[He shrugs and it's nearly audible. He's probably in the process of trying on all the shit they stole the other day.]
Or it gave the poor thing indigestion and he got puked out. One of the two.

A - Heron
[That's all that Freya is able to say as her make-shift dominoes are accidentally tipped and the change reaction begins. It isn't that intense, she'd only spent a half day setting them up but they ran a few circuits around the engine room.] Well, there they go.
[She spins as she watches the little pieces of metal fall.]
I'm surprised that work. [Freya's a little sad she hadn't knocked them over but she'll just set them up again. Being in space for too long is boring anyway.] So, I think I would have remembered you.
You new?
no subject
[She doesn't seem especially apologetic, giving her fingers a little wiggle. It's still such a thrill to actually be able to touch things, and a bit of chaos in the world - even for something so small as dominoes - is always fun.]
Just got here- the name's Lup. Security, I guess?
no subject
Mmmm, Freya. Engineering. Hence I'm in this room. You're welcome to touch whatever but don't blow us up. That'd suck for everyone and some of the things in here are explosive. [Not because they have to do with engine's but because Freya has random projects going on at all times and most are half finished.]
Oh. Do you like dogs?

He knows it's not quite mealtime; a smart cat, though he gives a low growl and a flick of his tail to indicate his confusion. Doesn't smell like his new Favorite Person even with the resemblance.]
no subject
Hey there, kit-kit. Don't have to growl at me, I'm not as scary as I probably feel.
[She's not sure if animals can sense the excess magical power or the lich stuff (or a straight-up combination of the two), but she'd understand if her body has a definite "weird" to it.]

Hey.
[And they're way too touchy-feely, also.]
That's my toaster.
[He was about to put these two slices of bread in the toaster, but it looks like Lup is trying to molest the poor appliance or something. Shinji's dulled stare is the furthest thing from impressed right now.]
it's all good!
Ooh, that's what this is? Can I try it?
