[Biffy comes on screen with a smile as he nods his head politely. Behind him one can see his lovely looking hair salon...the Maison de la Lune.]

Good evening. Given the fact that we are now in the season of Autumn, I felt that it was time to offer a special at my salon for all who wish to partake.

[He steps aside to wave at the interior behind him. It really is very lovely. Elegant even in the simplicity of it. Biffy had really gone out of his way to make sure that the interior design is very classy indeed.]

For this month, I wish to offer a special on makeovers. This will include a hair styling, as well as a scalp massage and a facial. For those interested in cosmetics, I am pleased to say that I can provide makeup for this as well.

[He turns back to the screen.]

I look forward to your patronage at the Maison de la Lune. Thank you.

Maison de la Lune

[Sure enough Biffy is at his shop a lot more this month. (Please don't mind the evenings he isn't. He's probably down on the planet running with his mate.) And whenever he smells someone approach, he is there to greet them with a smell and an impeccable bow. Here in his shop he isn't a Communications Officer, he isn't an Alpha, he isn't a Lord. Here he is just the humble keeper of this salon who is ready to take care of his customer.

So it is with that bow that he will look up, that twinkle in his pretty blue eyes.]

Good evening. May I offer you some tea and you can tell me how I may serve you this evening?

[He fingers the ends of his hair, looking at it. He could, conceivably, have a styling done, but he's still working on growing his hair out. It's long right now, braided as it is with gold decorations threaded through it. Taako considers it and the sound of disappointment in the owner's voice.]

Depends.... What were you thinking of doing with it?

You seem content with the length so I would not recommend cutting any of it. Rather, I have a style in mind that I feel would be most flattering for your features. Would you like for me to describe it? Or perhaps might I convince you to allow me to surprise you with it?

[Really he just wants to get his hands on this hair. After all, this is a hair salon.]

While I offer other treatments for pampering, my shop is first and foremost a hair salon. It is my specialty to partake in those matters and that is why even my special offers hair styling.

[He considers, looking at his style. That's a lot of trust to put in someone with something as precious as Taako's looks. He knows that he'd probably rock whatever it was, but even a minuscule chance of him not liking it is unforgivable. He could probably just use magic and lengthen or shorten his hair again if needed, but well....

Taako eyes the proprietor for a long moment and sinks into his cup of tea.]

Why don't you hit me with your idea, hm? I'll see what I think of it. I have a very specific image to uphold.

And someone who has my face here who would absolutely never let me live it down if I didn't like it.

[Why come to a salon if you're not even going to trust the person who owns the place? But, Biffy has a remarkable amount of patience and charm. He only smiles and there's no hint at all that he might be insulted.]

One would hope that someone who owns the shop would know what they are doing.

[With that, he prepares himself to pint a word picture.]

The detailing in your hair is beautiful, it's true. However, I think that with a slightly different style we could show off your bone structure and your face more. You would draw the eye even more to your beautiful features. A soft wave around the face with some braided detailing to help the rest fall elegantly down your back. With some more intricate braids to follow, you will find that it becomes a statement piece. Something that I believe rather suits your nature. Your hair is beautiful as it is now but I feel that you could have a touch more flare to it that would be both dramatic and lovely. Something that makes the world want to look at you and know that you are the most important individual around.

[New place means he has to earn his trust. Taako's been doing his own hair for years just because he doesn't want anyone near his neck with anything sharp. It's a vulnerable position to be in and he is not exactly great at trusting anyone.

But damn, Biffy, what a way to flatter him. Taako smirks behind his cup and inclines his head.]

I like what you're laying down, my man. [Also, if it makes him look better than Lup? Alllll the better.]

Why the hell not? Let's do it. Might as well splurge with all this money I have.

Wonderful. Then I will take a moment to remove these ornaments before we wash your hair and begin. It is often easier to start with freshly washed locks.

[He smiles at the reflection before expert hands start to carefully undo the work that has been done. Each detailing is carefully set before the mirror so it will not be lost and he's even making a mental note of how many there are so he'll be able to ensure that many get returned to his costumer at the end.]

[There isn't much for him to do now but relax. It's still a little disconcerting having someone who isn't employed by his pocket spa at his back. His ears twitch whenever Biffy's hands get too close to them or to his neck, but overall Taako's posture is slouched and his eyes hooded as he tries to enjoy his tea. Biffy's hands are steady and the click of the ornaments is methodical.

And there are a lot of ornaments - mostly gold and colored beads woven into his braids. A few miniature star barrettes that hold back a wisps of hair from his face. It should clash, but the way he arranged them made it look deliberate and stylish instead. He knows what he's doing after all.]

Mmhm condition that up, my dude. It shouldn't need much - elven hair is awesome - but a little extra care never hurts.

I would never dream of not conditioning the hair.

[He almost looks insulted at the suggestion that he would do anything but the finest of care for this hair he's in charge of currently.

Still, the ornaments are finally all out and he steps to the side.]

If you will come with me to my other chair?

Oh, I'm not saying you wouldn't - don't misunderstand me. I'm saying you'll be surprised at how little you'll need.

[He uncrosses his legs and stands, sliding out of the chair with ease. Then he follows Biffy to the salon chair.]

I've heard you guys have a lot of elves here though - are you familiar with any of 'em?

That was before my time I think. If any are still here then I haven't met them personally.

[This is officially his first.

Helping him to lean back, he gathers all the hair into the bowl and starts to wash the long strands. He even makes sure to give him a proper scalp massage as he does.]

So this is my first experience with Elven hair.

Not surprised. Even if they are here, some elves can be pretty reclusive.

[The asshole ones, at least. It's not unheard of on Faerun even where elves and half-elves are everywhere. There are always that subset that decided they were better than everyone else and just--- ohhhhhhhh. Taako lets out a sigh of contentment as Biffy gives him the massage, closing his eyes.]

Glad I could be your first.

[Heheh.]

I will have to keep that in mind.

[He laughs softly as he works the shampoo slowly through all of that hair before rinsing it free. Then it's an oil treatment that he also massages into every strand as well as Taako's scalp.]

You are not the only one who will find your kind to not be as prominent here though. I know of only two others who are my kind here. One of which it is probably for the best if I don't interact with.

["My kind?" That's....weird. He could have sworn the guy looked human. Taako raised an eyebrow and opened one eye to look back at Biffy.]

Could've sworn that humans were everywhere here, so consider my curiosity piqued. What're you that there's only three of you on this floating junk heap?

I am a werewolf.

[He tips his head down toward him before rinsing the oil from his hair, making sure that it is thorough rinsed so there won't be any oily residue left behind.]

[Wait. ....Wait. Like an honest to the gods werewolf? Transforming into a beast when the moon is full?]

No shit?

[He certainly wasn't expecting someone like that to show up, or to be the owner of a salon. Then again, in all his adventures, he'd never run into a werewolf before so maybe a lot of them ran salons and there was a whole werewolf mafia running beauty parlors across the world.]

That's cool. Sorry there's only three of you though. Not quite enough to make a pack, huh?

[He politely ignores the swearing.]

I am indeed.

[He helps him to sit up and carefully works the excess water out before gently towel drying his hair some and even wrapping it up so it won't drip needlessly all over as he walks him back to the other chair.]

I have a pack. One of the people here is my mate and is already a member. I had an unfortunate incident with the other werewolf here and it is for the best if we avoid each other.

Well, dump. That sucks.

[With his hair finished, Taako slips out of the chair and follows along to the next station. He's all ears for this particular gossip though and as he settles into the chair, he glances back at Biffy.]

They from a different pack from yours or just the general territorial tiffs that come along with being an apex predator?

Where I am from, females are also Alpha. When I met her I wasn't able to tell if she wanted to fight me for my territory and she gave a great deal of mixed signals. I prefer to avoid conflict so I feel it is for the best that I just avoid her now.

[He towels the hair a little more before he starts clipping it into sections to make drying faster.]

So...did that happen here or back home?

[He'd think if someone wants to get territory, they'd just slug it out and get it over with. Sloane had nooo problem nearly murdering the shit out of them. Even Killian tried to kill them once.]

Because...why not just talk to her? If you don't know if she actually wants to fight you or not.

Here. I don't believe she's from my world.

[A pause and then...]

Also I was unable to talk at the time. My augment glitched and I was stuck in wolf form.

Ohhhhh, yeah that would make it hard.

[Although weird? He thought werewolves could still talk when they were transformed. Then again, he'd never met one until now so who he is to talk like an expert?]

So holy shit, there's werewolves from two different worlds? That's gotta be a headtrip.

For me it's more just a headache. Especially since she isn't a member of my pack.

[Which just makes things complicated. Hence why he's chosen to simply avoid her entirely.

With expert ease, he starts using a curling iron to start adding just a bit of wave to these long tresses. Nothing too dramatic. That will come later.]

Far be it for me to give advice on trusting people, my dude, but would it be bad? I mean, there's only three of--

[He pauses and then laughs.]

No, wait. Scratch that. I just listened to myself and that's dumb. It's not like I'm going to go buddy up to the other elves just because. [Pffft, elves.]

So, your mate? What're they like? Dish the deets - I love hearing people talk about their partners.

[He laughs softly.]

You have my thanks for your understand.

[And he will leave it at that. And suddenly give the reflection the biggest smile. You want to hear about Lyall? He will tell you all about Lyall.]

He is a member of my pack as well as my Beta. Though his appearance leans towards fading into the background he is the most impeccable dresser. Clearly being smartly dressed is just meant to go with his wonderfully intelligent mind. Of course, he can have quite the tongue to him. In more ways than one. Though you are only to see it in conversation.

His name is Lyall and he one of the most loyal people I have ever met. And with a good heart willing to do what he needs to in order to protect that which he loves. Actually, we're engaged now. Currently there is no date set but once there is a decent looking planet we hope to be married on the surface.

[Aha, there's the smile of someone who likes to gush. Taako sits and politely folds his hands in his lap as he listens - definitely the gushing of someone totally smitten. It's cute, really, but not something Taako can really empathize with. He's never been close enough to anyone to talk like this.]

Well, congratulations on the engagement, my man. If you need someone to do catering once we're on a world that isn't a bunch of trash, you just let me know.

[Because catering a werewolf wedding? Fuck yeah that would be awesome on his resume.]
