[One afternoon Manji opens up his communicator.] Kogarasumaru! [He speaks with confidence that he probably shouldn't have.] You remember our fight, right? Well, I'm ready if you are. Shall I meet you at your dojo or somewhere on this junk of a planet? [Thanks to this thread Manji has a fight to pick. He could just call Kogarasumaru out privately, but he hasn't figured out how to do that just yet.]

Action: Junker Racing

[You know what else Manji can do that's really dumb? Try driving a car in a junker race with one arm. How hard can driving a car be when the most advance transportation you've ever driven was a horse?

And-- opps, yup. He's just crashed. In a spectacular fashion. Good thing he's immortal? Still, he may need a hand out of that wreckage.]

[she has manners and all that. She wouldn't invite herself to a fight if they didn't want her there] But thank you for saying I can. It's been a long time since I've been able to see a fight like this one will be.

Really? I would have thought someone like you would have seen a lot of fights and gotten bored of them by now. [This is why you shouldn't assume things Manji.] But yeah, sure, come enjoy the show if you want to.

Hooh? That's not what people usually say when it comes to me and fights. [you definitely shouldn't assume, Manji] Okay. Where did you two decide to fight?

[And a few moments later Manji will share a location.]

[she is ON THE MOVE even as she responds]

Of course. I'm on my way now.

Then I suppose I'll be seeing you shortly.

[She can either find him before the fight. After the fight where he's had time to heal from any injuries he might get during the fight. Or we can end it here.]

[if you're up for it she'd like to find him after! Because y'know, she'd be curious about that and all]

[Manji doesn't get completely stomped my Kogarasumaru. He holds his own for at least a couple rounds, but there's still a clear skill discrepancy between the two fighters. In the end Manji is the loser and ends up cut and bleeding. He takes some time for himself before he will see anyone, but he eventually comes out with blood stains and dirt on his clothes, covered in sweat, and surprisingly uninjured despite the fact that he was clearly cut during the fight.

He comes up to rest next to Baku.] Hope you enjoyed the show. [He sounds a bit tired. Manji really enjoyed the fight, but it's taken a bit out of him.]

[she made sure to sit somewhere out of the way, but still where she'd get a good view of the fight, and when Manji joins her she sits up a little straighter, more proper. Almost like it's out of habit.

She tilts her head to look at him, eyebrows raised as she assesses the damage to his clothes, but notes the lack of wounds]

I did. You're both very skilled.

[Manji smiles a little at hearing that. He had expected more people to lecture him about his big talk over the network so hearing a compliment was a nice surprise.]

Thanks. It was a good and fun fight. Kogarasumaru is good at keeping me on my toes and sharp.

[Manji will find that Baku is a very neutral party most of the time. Unless of course she doesn't like someone, but that's rare]

It would be something he excels at, mm. Given who he is. [her lips quirk] But it seems as though you gave him a challenge. I'm sure he appreciates that.

[Manji will take a pipe out of his kimono and starts to light it. Asking if she minds doesn't even cross his mind.] Of course I gave him a challenge. I would be a pretty poor samurai if I couldn't at least keep him on his toes. [He still smiles proudly. Taking what she did say as a compliment.]

[a snort] I've known plenty of samurai. Most of them couldn't hold a candle to what I just watched. [she says it bluntly]

Watching fights like that, though . . . that's why I picked up a sword. I wanted to be a samurai, but I wasn't allowed.

Oh? [Manji looks surprised for a moment.] I would have thought being someone who travels into dreams you could do just about anything you want.

[she glances up at him and shakes her head]

Not really. I have rules and laws I have to follow, just like humans do. Becoming a samurai would've been considered becoming too involved in human affairs.

[Manji gives this a bit of thought as he smokes on his pipe.] Well, what if you sparred with me for a bit of fun sometime? I don't get anything out of it so you won't be getting involved.

[Or at least that's Manji's argument to find a way to let her be able to spar and teach her a little bit of sword play. Without outright saying he wants to help her.]

[she raises an eyebrow]

I wouldn't mind sparring. I don't get to practice very often these days. My boss is usually too busy for it.

[...] It might be good. We wouldn't have to hold back.

[Baku no]

[Manji smiles when she says she won't hold back.] I was hopin' you'd say that.

[Baku yes.] So if I'm gonna spar you sometime anything I should know about? Weak spots not to hit and things like that?

[she hums a little in thought] I can't think of any. As long as you don't try to kill me, it should be fine.

[she grins, slow and a little mischievous] So yeah. Don't hold back, when we do spar.

I won't kill you, I'm no amateur. [He grins as if to match her.] Don't worry, I won't hold back so you don't either. Just don't cut off my head and we'll be good.

I would never accuse you of that. That's an insult. [she grins a little wider] I wouldn't do that. When would you like to spar, then?

Not today. [He was already an idiot enough to offer to fight someone else today. Even he had to admit he was going to be completely spent after that.]

But I would be happy to face you any time you want.

Perhaps it's better to set it whenever it's convenient for you. I don't sleep or need rest, after all.

[it's not bragging, simply a statement. She just sits around all night eating anyway]

Well, this planet has good arenas for fighting. I think it would be good to have our first match before we leave it.

Hmmm, we could do that. I haven't really been to the arenas myself, much.
