Well, [That word drawn out as Remy shoved down a grin, not trying to be too amused at her situation or how she was handling it. At least not letting it show. He got this was an annoyance, but Kitty's attitude to it all made it funny.] Maybe not so much the phasin' side of it, but doors? Yeah, I happen to use them now 'nd then. When there ain't no good windows 'round, or 'm bein' polite.

For the record, you're officially not allowed to blow holes in the walls of the Twin Roses to get out of walking through doors there. [She cocks her head to the side.] Not that you strike me as a man in a hurry to avoid kisses.

Ya think 'm that suicidal? I know better than to use explosives in space. The idea of bein' flung 'nto space ain't appealin' to me. [Yeah, no, that was just scary.

As for her current situation, Remy did move in, but it was to lean a shoulder against the wall beside her.] I mean, if the other person be willin'. [But joking aside.] Would ya like a, well, not hand. Or should I give Vash a call?

[She half rolls her eyes at the mention of calling Vash. Making it a production like that sounds more embarrassing than this needs to be.] Would you just kiss me already? [Not something she ever expected to say to Remy—any version of him she's known. But were there times Kitty thought Rogue was crazy for choosing Magneto over him? There were. Her eyes are doing just fine. And does she want to kiss him right now? She does. She doesn't know if that has something to do with the mistletoe itself or something else. Maybe it's just the anticipation?]

What? No drinks? No flowers? Just straight in 'nd do it? [Ok, he's being a brat. But she should be use to him being one by now.

And, well... yes, they are both with someone, but Kitty was a pretty thing. And a good person. Remy always enjoyed the time they spent together. But this all felt... well, forced. And he didn't like that.

Pushing off the wall, Remy gently cupped a hand against her cheek before leaning in to kiss the other one, pressing a soft kiss to her skin before pulling back just enough to speak.] Hopefully that will work.

[Remy, when you slow down, you have time to think about things and really feel them happening. Gosh!]

I didn't say no to drinks and flowers. [But that would definitely make this whole thing stranger. His hand is warm against her skin or is that her skin being warm? Look, she absolutely refuses to blush in this situation so she can't be. And then his lips are on her other cheek and she can't help but smile at him trying to be a gentleman in this situation.]

Well, that was very sweet and in my experience never works. [But since the bulk of her experience was in an entirely different prison reality, she slowly shifts, trying to move further from him. She can't.]

It's hard being right all the time.

For ya? I meant for me. [Also... hmm, yeah, that didn't work, did it? That was irritating, and that expression crossed his face for a moment. There was no getting around this, was there? Not that he was against the idea of kissing Kitty, but you know, they were friends, that it, and he respected that.

But he also wasn't going to leave her stuck. Nor muck around trying to experiment what would and would not work. So the kiss Remy gave her was light, but still a kiss, not wanting to trial out if a brief brush of lips against lips would work. Letting it linger for a moment, he asked.] That work?

Oh, right. Sorry, I'm light on the romance these days. [Amused by the idea of it though. Then she falls quiet as he moves back toward her. She returns the kiss, not trying to deepen or intensify it—just letting it be this soft thing. It's so odd kissing Remy. It's true their history really only extends through this place, but she feels like she's known him much longer. He's not someone from home, but in a way he is. He's family. He's also not unattractive.

She slides back when the kiss breaks.] Mmm...work? Oh, right, um... [She tries taking another couple of steps back slowly in case she was going to bump against an invisible boundary, but it doesn't seem like one is coming.] It worked. Thanks.

[Remy smiled as he straightened back up. Ok, he can't lie, his ego enjoyed her moment of distraction, though he refused to let it show, not until he was sure she was fully ok. Being stuck was no fun.] Good to hear.

Ya know, could be a lot worse. Back at m' last place I was in it was a fifty fifty chance it was 'Sleepin' Beauty' mistletoe. [Then a grin.] I had to get Rogue out of that once. I turned out to be the one 'sleep after that.

[She's been in an "open" relationship with Vash for months now without taking any kind of advantage of the openness. She was barely ready for the non-Winness of Vash at first. More time has passed now and she's still very much in love with Winn, but time is doing it's work. Vash is doing his. She's doing hers. And she isn't sure what to feel about kissing other people except that she's probably not supposed to feel anything but free from containment, right? She'll go with that.]

Woah, woah, does that mean you were her true love's kiss? [Because a Remy and a Rogue together wouldn't surprise her at all, but as far as she knew things weren't like that for them.]

Quoi? Non, non, non, [Remy raised a hand to shake it, that action echoed with his head.] Nothin' like that. It worked on 'nyone, just needed someone to kiss them. [He mean, he knows about 'them', between what he's heard from Kurt and Kitty to that discovery of comics when he was in Luceti.

And maybe Rogue and him were a thing in other universes, but not theirs. Hell, they weren't even friends back home. Luceti and the Fleet had been what allowed them to grow that friendship.]

Ah. [Not too disappointed. It would have been weird to start shipping it now again with him and Kirk carrying on anyway.] Well, now I'm doubting the validity of one conscious man's love for one unconscious woman from an old cartoon. Was it really true love or would any old kiss have woken her up?

[Well, him and Jim had an open relationship thing going, so you know, on that front, a chance.

Though kind of hard without Rogue being at the Fleet...]

I hate to break it to ya, petite, but for the most, fairy tales ain't real. 'nless one or two of them show up here, then... all bets off. But all bets been off for 'while now with places like this 'nd the last ones we were at, hein? None of this makes sense.

Exactly. I've met the big bag wolf. I'm not putting any of it up as clearly fiction. [Not that she believes in fairy tails really. For that she'd have to believe in happy endings and she's seen no proof of any such thing existing.]

Met a few who would like to think they the Big Bad Wolf too, 'nd not all those people be able to turn 'nto wolves. [Though she had a very good point to this all, who knew what was out there and what existed somewhere else.]

I think ya may wanna go back to ya normal way of gettin' 'round, hein? Just for the next week or so at least, 'til these things vanish.

Are you telling me I shouldn't walk through doors and get smooches, Remy? I never figured you for a prude. [Teasing. Of course he's not. He's watching out for her like always. Doesn't mean she'll keep the teasing to herself.]

Cherie, if ya want 'smooches', all ya gotta do is ask. [And as if to prove the point, Remy ducked in once again to press another kiss to her cheek. Less soft and sweet than the first one, clearly done partly as a joke, but was still warm and caring, but that from a friend.

He grinned as he moved back and started to head off.] Do call if ya need help again, ya know 'm willin' to lend a hand, or m' lips.

[She smiles at the kiss.] Careful, Cajun. I just might take you up on it one of these days. [Well, this is an interesting game of chicken. But is she playing it with him or herself?]

[Either way, he was enjoying it. Turning back just enough to still see her, walking backwards as he did, Remy raised his hand to his mouth to kiss his fingers and then 'blow' the kiss off them back to her, grinning at his actions before vanishing off down the hallway.]

[She reaches up to catch the kiss before she loses sight of him and then shakes her head, enjoying the moment and not thinking too much about it as she goes on about her day.]
