[Well. This is quite something.

Kogarasumaru certainly isn't expecting to become stuck underneath a doorway at the same time he's passing by Kirk but here he is. The pair of them. Under a doorway together with the younger man rather towering over him.

(It's okay. Most people do.)

Curious, he looks around but he doesn't see anything keeping them there?]

Well, this is quite the problem.

_{[ Ah. This again. He had hoped it was some odd glitch this morning, but it appears that either the glitch is continuing, or this is rather on purpose and someone, somewhere, is getting quite the laugh from it. He was willing to bet the latter. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. ]}

That is definitely the polite way of putting it.

_{[ He glanced up and pointed at the offending sprig of vegetation. ]}

Tell me, do you know what that is?

[Ah. Is it that plant causing this to happen? He looks up at it but can't say that he recognizes what it is. Tilting his head a little, he considers carefully before looking up at the man instead.]

I do not. Does it have some significance?

[Something he might be missing?]

It's called mistletoe. In some cultures, it's considered a tradition that when two people stand beneath it in a doorway, they have to kiss. There's several legends as to why, but the point is - kissing.

_{[ He pursed his lips slightly, not quite puckering, but just on the edge. ]}

We have to kiss in order for it to let us go. Or Atroma. Whichever is actually doing it, though let's be honest, it all goes back to Atroma. I guess they needed a "ratings" boost.

Oh? Is that all?

[The news doesn't appear to bother the little sword as he looks up at little plant. So there is a tradition behind this thing, hm? He smiles.]

And are you opposed to such affections with others?

_{[ He laughed softly, shaking his head. ]}

No. I quite enjoy physical affection with others, actually. It's just usually not because a plant has trapped us.

This father finds the tradition to be rather sweet. I would not mind a kiss from you.

[Though...]

I will confess that kissing is not something I have experience with.

_{[ This statement actually garnered surprise from Kirk. ]}

What? Really? But - you're gorgeous and intriguing.

_{[ Not the only reasons to kiss someone, true, but the first to come to
mind when looking at Kogarasumaru. ]}

[Oh well now he looks amused.]

Is that what provides experience in this area?

They’re certainly helpful in providing opportunities. Spoken from experience.

_{[ Maybe a bit egotistical, but he does have the track record to prove
his point. ]}

So this will be your first?

[Even more amused now. However, he does appreciate confidence.]

_{[ He chuckled and reached out, brushing his fingers along that slender
jawline. ]}

Well, if you feel you are terrible at this then there is plenty of pressure.

[But he has a feeling that Kirk doesn't feel that way in the slightest. Still, he does rise up on his toes to make it easier to reach him.]

_{[ Koga rising on his toes, seemingly so expectant of this kiss, should
not have made him laugh. It shouldn’t, and yet a tiny giggle escaped him.
It was so cute and endearing, even when he knew Koga could also handily
dissect him if he wanted to. ]}

There’s always a bit, I think, when you have a reputation to uphold.

_{[ He reached down to gently cup Koga’s cheeks, the other finer than
porcelain in his hands, though he felt much warmer than that. Kirk leaned
down, closing that nearly foot wide gap between them, pressing his lips to
Koga’s - chaste, but firm. While the other struck him as ancient and
profound, it didn’t seem very polite to just start out by thrusting his
tongue places. ]}

[He lowers himself back down after the kiss ends and he smiles up at the man. Running his fingers over his lips, he considered a moment before speaking.]

This form of affection...I can see why humans have enjoyed it for so many years now. Should I ever find someone to share more with I think I should like that.

I rather hope you do find someone to share it with. Experiment and explore. Might as well while the opportunity is there, no?

_{[ He smiled warmly. ]}

I will be content to have inspired some curiosity on the subject.

I suppose if I find someone of that nature. If not then that's fine. I'm content to watch over my children, even those I seem to have gathered here.

Do you not ever feel - lonely? Or want companionship, in the romantic sense?

_{[ He asks for pure curiosity, not judgement. ]}

It is not something I have ever considered. Then again, I haven't been in this human form for very long now.

Oh? How long have you been in this form then? Is it quite different from being in your blade form?

Based on my time here and my time at home, I believe it is almost two years now. And yes, it is remarkably different from being a sword. After all, I control my movements in this body.

_{[ Ah, that brings up a new question. ]}

If I may - what was the first thing you want to do, when you got this new form? What's the one thing you want to do most while you have it?

That I wanted to do? I wanted to see my children. That was something I have already done. Though what I most want to do while I have it?

[He considers that a moment or so, fingers delicately touching his chin in thought.] To live. To see and experience all that I can. Those will be precious memories I can carry into the afterlife should I break or into the treasury should I become a sword only again.

I think you're going to get plenty of that here.

_{[ He smiled just a little. ]}

I hope you get the chance to create a lot of good ones.

[He laughs softly.]

That sounds as if I have not had opportunity since being given this body.
