[ Escha absolutely gets caught. That's what happens when you're just plain not paying attention to your surroundings. Alas.

Whether it's on the Iskaulit or the Starduck, whenever Escha manages to get herself trapped underneath the mistletoe, she doesn't immediately notice... until she pretty much walks right into that invisible wall. She squeaks and flails her arms a little bit as she backs up, staring wide-eyed at, well, nothing. ]

[ It seems they both have something in common by not paying attention to their surroundings. Carl happens to be behind her as she tries to go through the doorway, stops, and flails. His hands go up to steady her. ]

[ She tries to step aside so he can get around her, buuuut that doesn't work either. Bonk! She rubs at the side of her head. ]

Ouch... What's going on? Why can't I move anywhere?

[ Carl does the same, trying to squeeze his way through, but it's not really any use. All he manages to do is drop his hat which tumbles a few feet away. ]

This isn't something that's ever happened to me before. What about you?

[ She watches his hat tumble away, makes a move to reach for it -- but not only is she just not close enough, but that forcefield stops her again!! Alas. She turns her attention back to Carl. ]

Me neither... [ She sighs, looks around -- including upward... and squints, then points to the mistletoe. ] Hey, was that always there? Could this have something to do with it?

[ He glances to where she's looking and frowns at the offending plant. He honestly hadn't noticed it. ]

I don't think it was..but it might be why we can't get through.

What is it? I've never seen a plant like that... And I've definitely never heard of a plant that can trap people - not without vines or something, I mean.

It's mistletoe, but it normally doesn't do this. It's just a plant.

Oh my gosh! I-I mean, that sounds like a really cute tradition in general, but ummm... If we're stuck under it right now, then...

[ SURE IS... oh dear... Cue some nervous laughter, and her pointedly looking at the floor, cheeks already turning a few different shades of red. ]

Wow... I guess I shouldn't be surprised that something like this would happen, if we're supposed to be boosting ratings, huh?

[ She takes a deep breath, and looks back up at Carl! ]
