[ There's precious little to tell them apart, but he's glad that he doesn't have to clarify that with Loki. He does seem to have to explain something else though, so he gestures up to the plant above their heads. ]

[ loki finally looks up, his expression clearing like a sunny day, a wisp of good humour. ]

Ah. I suppose I cannot avoid all agents of chaos.

[ Jim lets out a soft chuckle at that, grinning in amusement. ]

Funny to hear you of all people say that. [ Loki himself is often the agent of chaos. ]

[ his shoulders roll loosely. ]

I am not exempt. I'd be a poor author of chaos if I were.

The way I see it, a plant has just managed to one-up you.

[ He teases with fond amusement, then tilts his head. ]

Anyway, how do you feel about breaking out of this force field?

[ loki would flip you off if he could. ]

I suppose I must if I want to go anywhere today.

Well, I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to stay here. I do make for some pretty great company.

[ He steps closer as he talks, hands resting on Loki's chest. He'll be nice and free him from this prison. ]

[ loki isn't swayed. ]

That sounds like an empty boast.

[ He winks. No empty boasting going on here. ]

And how would you do such a thing?

[ Jim just shrugs at that. ]

Guess you'll just have to stick around and find out.

[ Very impatient for a god, you are. ]

No, I guess not. We better find a way to get out of here, then.

Mmm, yes. How would you like to do this?

I don't know. How many different ways to kiss do you Asgardians have?

[ He winks at Loki, crooking a finger at him to beckon him closer. ]

[ loki rolls his eyes even as he comes closer. ]

Quite a few, depending on the occasion.

Yeah? [ He hums. ] Guess we do, too. Depending on the occasion, and the person.

Oh?

[ it doesn't surprise him in the least. ]

And here I thought mortals only cared for one kind.

[winscenario]

Of course we don't. There are a lot of different kisses. Victor kisses me on the forehead when I have nightmares, for instance. That's not the same as when we kiss on the lips, or when we're downright making out. A kiss can mean a lot of different things.

[dothelokimotion]

[ he raises an eyebrow. ]

Your Victor is old-fashioned.

[winscenario]

[ Jim looks a little surprised by that, but also amused. ]

What makes you say that?

[dothelokimotion]

Even I know that much about mortals.

[winscenario]

So we're all old-fashioned now?

[dothelokimotion]

No, just the one you know. As I said, I'm familiar enough with mortals that they rarely linger in the past unless they hold a grudge.

Sometimes it's not about lingering. Sometimes it's about just... remembering. Learning from our experiences, and our mistakes.
