[He looks over at her, before he went and took her hand.]

Well, I can tell you that my wants, needs, and fears are all wrapped up in you and our future together. That I want you to be something .. bigger than a breadbox.

( Sansa lifts his hand to her lips and kisses it, wanting to show him that she wants the very same thing. )

I cannot argue with that. What I want with you isn't something that can fit in a box. It's bigger than that.

[Something in his face just melts away, and he looks like a little boy on the Winter festivals.]

Then I suppose we are both answering wishes then, are we not?

( Sansa colors a bit and nods, finding her cup of tea very interesting for a moment. )

I suppose that we are. We make our own happiness, then, and don't depend on it from others.

[tallasaking]

I agree. We shall make our own happiness.

[He took her hand, the one wrapped around her tea, and kissed it gently.]

( Sansa colors a bit and goes back to her tea. She does want to make a wish at the tree, of course, but it's something that she can do privately later. She cannot wish for happiness for another person, or herself, but she thinks she can ask for Lady. Atroma gave her Lady once before. )

I'm going to ask the tree for Lady, then. Mayhap it will work. Atroma gave me Lady last time.

Oh, I think she shall grant you the wish of your beloved Lady.

[Amusement colors his face.]

Although I am slightly terrified of what your direwolf is going to make of me. Hopefully, not a snack.

( Sansa cannot help but laugh at that and she shakes her head. Lady had always been the most well-behaved of the Stark direwolves and she has no reason to believe that would change in the Fleet. )

Lady is not going to eat you, Tyrion. She's my wolf, she listens to me. Besides, she's very polite.

Well mannered for a direwolf - does this mean she will dab at her well-groomed muzzle after she takes off my leg?

[The most innocent face ever, Sansa.]

( Sansa rolls her eyes, yes, but it's nothing but affectionate. Honestly. Lady isn't going to eat him. )

She won't eat you unless you suddenly start resembling Ramsay Bolton or Cersei. Since you look like neither, I think you're safe.

Well Cersei and I have the same hair ... but honestly they both have it on me in height and general 'horrible person who should have been killed in the cradle', so there you have it.

[He squeezes her hand again.]

Lady is an excellent choice.

She will like you, Tyrion, I swear it. You're kind to me and you make me smile. Lady is a better judge of character than I ever was.

( And, if Lady cannot behave, she can stay behind on Sansa's ship while she visits with Tyrion. )

Well as long as she is a better judge of character over the two of us in our younger years ... perhaps she ought to handle who we should or should not put our trust in in the future.

[He mused, running his fingers over Sansa's hand.]

Yes, we'll screen all of our friends through Lady's approval. I think that'd be rather clever of us.

( Sansa lifts Tyrion's hand to her lips and kisses it. )

I do have dreams where we're concerned, Tyrion. I have hopes and dreams for our relationship - though nothing I should be discussing with a wishing tree.

I look forward to her daintily ripping out the throat of the truly bad ones.

[His entire expression softens from laughter to something warmer, more delicate.]

Well ... you could be discussing it with me?

[Slightly hopeful? Or completely?]

( Sansa colors a bit. Yes, she ought to be discussing it with him. Her inability to discuss things of an intimate nature without getting shy about it has been a problem - which is stupid, frankly, because she's a woman wed and she's independent enough to know her own mind. She keeps her voice soft. )

I want to be able to lay with you the way a wife lays with her husband. I don't think that's something I ought to go and ask of a wishing tree, though.

[Oh, well, that was not ... what he had been expecting at all but he had to say he was not disappointed In The Slightest. He cleared his throat abruptly, before giving her a bright smile.]

Er. No. It might be considered, ah, bigger than a bread box.

( Sansa giggles a bit and covers her mouth with her hand. Well, yes, it might be bigger than a breadbox. )

I presume it will be, yes. We'll take up more space than that.

Precisely so. I do not fit into a breadbox, and neither do you.

[He smiled warmly, tipping his head to the side. He gave her a thoughtful look.]

... you know, I have just thought of something I would like.

Something you’d like? Well, tell me so that I might be able to fulfill it.

( Sansa leans in, eager to hear what he has to say. )

I would like our marriage cloaks. So when the time comes, we can re-new our vows, feeling as we should have felt, on our wedding day. Deeply in love, and deeply committed to the lives we were going to spend together.

[He smiled up at her, a touch shyly.]

I should tell you that I already have something of a headstart on the deeply in love, deeply committed part.

( Sansa’s cheeks flush a bit but she nods, agreeing whole-heartedly. She doesn’t think it will take long to make the wedding cloaks. )

I think that’s a wonderful idea. I will begin working on the cloaks now - both Stark and Lannister. It won’t take me too long to sew them, I don’t think.

[tallasaking]

[He smiles then, a little broader and a little more beaming.]

Whatever you need to make that happen, my darling wife, let me know.

( Sansa ponders it for a moment, trying to decide what all she’ll need to make the cloaks. She has plenty of fabric, yes, but it’s the small details that matter. )

Beads, I think, for the intricate bits. I haven’t got anything to do beadwork.

[tallasaking]

Hmmm. I can do some trading, once we reach the next planetary system that looks like it might sell fine goods.

[He had quite a bit to trade, after all. Surprise touched his face.]
