The other two prisons I have been to had it as well. What an odd commonality.

[Pavel has kissed more people than he can remember thanks to pushy mistletoe and he's not inclined to be too bothered by it. (Okay, he's a little bothered, but that has everything to do with how immensely discouraging it is to only get kissed when it's forced and nothing to do with the kissing itself.)]

I suppose so. We should try to be as undramatic and disappointing as possible.

Luckily, I've had a decent amount of practice with kissing with the minimum of dramatics and being really boring about it.

[...That sounds. Bad? But yeah, when you've got to kiss your friends that you're either not interested or who are definitely not interested in you...you pick that talent up quick or you make things awkward.]

[That does sound terrible, but Pavel gets it. Their lives, honestly.]

I doubt this is going to work but...

[Felix steps in a little closer, puts his hand on Pavel's shoulder and leans in to kiss....his cheek.

Look, there was a certain age difference back at Camp where you could get away with something like this and it'd be foolish not to try but he doubts they're going to get off that easily. Early twenties is not nearly the same as a teenager.]

[It hadn't even occurred to Pavel to try that since the bots in Marina were seldom content with anything short of fully making out, but hey, why not. He tries to take a few steps forward and--

...And no, of course it didn't work. Why would it?]

It was a noble attempt. [He gives the mistletoe A Look.] Even if the Atroma may disagree.

No, likely not.

[Alright. Without further ado--because really, the 'ado' is probably what the Atroma get the biggest kick out of--Pavel puts his hands on Felix's shoulders and kisses him fully on the lips.]

[True to his word, Felix is pretty good about keeping this brief and professional. It's chaste but also just long enough to hopefully satisfy...whoever...before he pulls away.

...But that was definitely...faintly weird. Pavel is his friend and okay, if he was really pressed he would say that yes, he's cute (for someone 10ish years younger than Felix) but...no. He doesn't think about him that way. And he doesn't think Pavel thinks of him like that either.]

Hopefully that's enough.

[It has not occurred to Pavel to think of Felix as anything other than a friend, which goes a long way towards making this not-all-that-weird for him. It also doesn't occur to him, as a rule, that other people might consider him cute, especially not after going almost two years without anyone so much as expressing interest.

And okay, the sheer number of times things like this have happened? Also does a lot to cut down on the weirdness.

Once again, he takes a few steps to see if it worked. This time, nothing stops him.]
