Your life is weird as hell and that's coming from a guy who lives on the moon.

[But he lets Carl's hand go and then takes his umbrella and swipes at the mistletoe. It goes skittering across the floor and Taako grins in triumph.]

Also? In your case, kemosabe, human or baby works. You're still a baby human.

[Then he levels a fireball at the offending green plant, incinerating it in a ball of flame.]

..........You live on the moon. [ He's going to let that bit sink in, because that is rad as hell. ] Human sounds a lot better than being a baby forever.

Mmhmm. The second one - is technically fake I heard, but no one knows that.

[He spins his umbrella around in one hand and then hangs it off his arm as he wanders over to the oven. Souffle is safe. He's got a minute before he needs to take it out so he settles on teasing Carl a little more. ]

You're a baby human. Same difference? You're like what? 12? 25?

Wait, wait. There are two moons? [ Always find time in your day to tease Carl a little more, Taako. He moves into the kitchen where his communicator skittered away to, picking it up and shoving it into his pocket. ] Seventeen?

Uh, yeah? We have elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins and gnomes, so why not two moons?

[He waves a hand dismissively at the correction.]

Same difference. Almost a not-baby.

Yeah, I guess that makes as much sense as anything?

Honestly? Best way to deal with it. I try not to think too hard.

[ Wow, that sounds like a lot of effort. ] I guess. Is the souffle okay?

I made it? So yeah, natch.

[Although it's cute that Carl is still checking in. Good kid that one. Taako will have to tease him relentlessly even more.

Taako makes a show of checking his bracer like he's checking a watch, then holds a finger up to the air, testing it.]

Mmmmmmmyep, it's time.

[He grabs an oven mitt, clicks the oven off, and slides the souffle - carefully - out and onto a waiting cooling rack. Then he turns and shoos Carl out of the kitchen.]

Gotta let it rest now, nice and quiet. Out you go.

Good bakers mess up stuff all the time. Right? [ Shit happens, in and out of the kitchen. Still, he lets Taako usher him out of the kitchen. ] ..You're so weird. [ He says it with a laugh, shaking his head. ]

I'm a fantastic baker, so no, I don't mess up. Ever. And if you insinuate that again, I'll take the french fries off the menu permanently.

[Even if he wouldn't actually do it, it's good to remind Carl that Taako wields the power in the kitchen. He pushes Carl toward the entrance, kicking the mistletoe out of the way once again just for good measure.]

Now get. I'm sure you have other weird human things to do and Taako's busy watching a souffle cool.

You're bluffing, but fine, I'll leave you to your pastry. See you tomorrow, Taako. [ It's not like he won't be back, and Taako's kind of weird about him being in the kitchen and asking questions, so it works out. ]

Maybe I'll just take them off the menu for you.

[Don't call his bluff, child!!! He'll ruin you!!!!]
