the white noise is deafening silence
[In the very early hours of January 20th, as the Marsiva and her captives drift nonchalantly through the depths of the universe, there is a call. Every single personal communicator and console springs to life, spitting out a stream of indecipherable static and showing only gray snow on screen. It continues like this for a few seconds longer, going black and then going staticky, and then the signal switches to the encrypted channel generally used for speaking to the Interceptors when something big goes down.
This is a little more successful. The voice may be familiar to some, at least through the static.]
Zhade here! I trust I ███ your attention? I'm having some ██▓▓ble ██tting through. Some of the ░▓██▓█ are missing. I can't ░▓▓▓ read on their loc█████ns. [A particularly long burst of static.] ███stening. I'll s█▓▓█ more inf██▓▓▓▓▓█ I get it.
Stay sharp! [There's the sound of someone actually doing the fingerguns wink noise, and then static.
Any messages sent back won't get through, and Zhade isn't there to answer.]
[ A blip of lost time passes right after those words, before every passenger mysteriously wakes alone in their own unfamiliar room. The style of decor resembles that of the Marsiva's Hospitality Deck, if any passengers should remember what that's like. It sounds and smells the same as the host ship as well, all clean and chrome.
Welcome back to the Marsiva, dear passengers. It's time for round three of calibrations. ]
[ This mingle will cover all non-calibration room interactions. Please continue to come back to it for the duration of the plot! You are, of course, free to post any other mingles/posts/etc. that you'd like. ]

Makie | Blade of the Immortal | OTA
...for another, she recognises this transferral for what it is, and she has so much more baggage than her last time here. Enough to turn people that like her against her, perhaps.
For both these reasons, she keeps to herself and barely leaves her room, opting instead to rest. (And cough. And rest. And--) She does need to eat, though, despite her lack of appetite, and tea is a godsend, so she creeps into the kitchen area, trying to time it for times when the kitchen is empty.
She doesn't want to run into anyone.
Naturally, coincidental kitchen visits are encouraged. Don't mind the sickly-looking lady, she's shuffling like a hag and making herself some tea. Or you can come visit her in her room, either deliberately or to tell her to stop all that coughing. Take your pick.]

On the plus side: all that entertainment. Seriously, all those shows and movies, able to share with others stuff he knew from his world for them to see? It was great. Though movie time and such needed snacks, as much as he disliked going back to the basics the Fleet provided him. They really needed to up their food game.
Heading his own way into the kitchen, he cast a glance around for anyone who may be in there, smiling a little at a familiar face.] Hi Makie, good to see ya 'bout. [Since he hadn't seen much of her since all of their arrival on the ship.]

She stiffens at the sound of a new arrival, but relaxes a little when she recognises the voice, turning to give him a wan smile.]
It's a little too crowded in the common area for me, I'm afraid. Are you doing all right?
no subject
'm ok, rather be back on the Twin Roses, but it ain't too bad here, plenty to pass the time at least. Just hopin' the folks here put m' cats somewhere safe, hate to think them trapped on the ship.

I know the last time this happened... there were no complaints of neglected animals. There's a pet area on the Marsiva, isn't there? Perhaps they're all there for now.
no subject
Seems this also upset ya plans, hein? Guess goin' to have to have movin' day after all this clears up.

The crowds aren't... exactly ideal, though. I hope you don't mind my being unsociable.

...I wonder if we can ask for it to be made available. Or some of it.

I suppose in some sense I must have gone home, even if I don't remember it. I carried a disease in my own time. It's present now.
[It feels more of an annoyance to her than anything else; she knows it can be cured here. It just takes time. But every single time she reappears somewhere-- Castiel has lifted the disease from her lungs three times. It's ridiculous.]

Should be restin' then, [Which Remy supposed she had been since she hadn't been around much.] If ya worried 'bout bein' 'round others, I could help get ya stuff when ya need it. Food 'nd drink 'nd like.

At the offer, she glances up to meet his gaze, expression tinged with a little relief.]
It's a lot to impose, but... [Better one person in a controlled environment than the chance encounters she would find along the way.] I would appreciate that, Mr Remy. As long as we're careful.
no subject
Honestly, she should be on liquids, to make it easier on her system.] Wish we were back on the Twin Roses, I would have more to work with for ya.
[However, those thoughts were bumped aside with her concern, a smile returning to his lips as he drew a cross over his chest.] Cross m' heart, will be real careful. [Some good hygiene practice before and after being in her room. He didn't worry to much about himself, but he also knew in enclosed spaces it could jump to someone else real quick if he was careless.]

The gels make it easier. The foods that would loan me strength are sadly not available on the Marsiva. [She doesn't really answer the question. But to his wish, she smiles.]
Once we're back on the Twin Roses, I can be treated. It is not... curable in my time, but I'm glad to say that's no longer the case. I will not be ill for long.

Though there was another important question here, especially with him offering to help out. And... maybe a little invasive but he has to know to keep himself and others safe.] Ah, to put it in less than elegant words but to get to the point, what have ya got? 'ssumin' I don't need a medical degree to recognize the name of it or something, or it got a name that works for the time 'm from as well as when ya from.
no subject
In my time, it's called lung sickness. Haibyo. In yours, it's likely called tuberculosis.

[Dragging himself out of his thoughts and back to the now Remy smiled over to her.] How 'bout we get ya bundled back up in ya room 'gain 'nd I can see what can put together for ya, if ya feelin' like eatin'. Or if ya bored, maybe we can quarantine one of the screens off in the main room 'nd ya can rest up there while watchin' or listenin' to something. [Maybe more of a risk, but Remy was sure if they did it right they could get her all bundled up in a corner booth and stop others getting too close.]

Hello. How are you holding up?

I'm okay.. D'you need help?

I'm all right. I'm... not well, but that will change. It's why I can't come back to the restaurant just yet.
