[Good morning, Fleet! There's a young teen with dark blue-black hair wandering the Marsiva today. He's wearing a slightly more modern twist on Victorian era clothes and his right eye is wrapped with a bandage but it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all.

What does bother him though is to wake up somewhere entirely new with little knowledge in regards. At least, little compared to what he'd prefer. Going through this once when he arrived in Riverview Quarantine had been exhausting enough, but at least the experience had left him more adjusted to the level of technology here. It's not like his little house or the phones they had given the residents of the Quarantine, but it was all manageable at the very least.

For now, he hopes to see something, someone, familiar. Either that, or he hopes to find a decent cup of tea and company that isn't entirely bothersome. And as he wanders, seeing no one familiar, he settles on the hope for tea. As long as it was strong. And maybe something sweet.]

Certainly superior to coffee. At least tea is blended carefully, with quality and flavor at the forefront of a crafters mind.

[He'll have you know they are perfectly fine in his year!

Although that does give him some pause.]

Not real werewolves. There are grim reapers though. [and demons but he'll leave those out for now.]

Hmm, so not from the same reality then, but sounds like you might share some things in common. Grim Reapers as in the hood and the scythe and the skull?

Your own understanding is dreadful. Perhaps you should look inward.

[He just shakes his head.]

They dress normally, most of them. I've only seen one using an actual scythe. The one I see most often has a chain saw.

A... chainsaw? You have chainsaws in Victorian England?

I've tried coffee, what was quality, so at least I've covered my bases.

No, but the reapers do. Another had a lawnmower.

_{[ He paused and considered the other, squinting as if debating the legitimacy of that statement. And really, who wouldn't? ]}

What, pray tell, would a reaper down with a lawn mower?

[Everyone would, unless they had met reapers in his world. And even that was a rarity. He can remember the surprise on the pair in Germany when they realized that he could see them.]

Collect souls from the dead, mostly.

But... with a lawn mower? How would that even work? It seems high inefficient.

You'd have to ask a reaper, really. I've never really thought to ask about it, not being on the best of terms with them usually.

[Of course it is.]

Well, you're alive, so I should think you would be.

They aren't supposed to kill anyone. I learned that much from listening to a pair argue. They only collect the souls of those in their 'to-die' books.

But if they collect the soul, wouldn't that mean they have to kill someone to collect?

They're already dead when they do. The soul just needs to be collected after. That's supposedly the whole 'life flashing before your eyes' thing. Prevents... demons from devouring the souls.

Interesting. It's been surmised in my world that the 'life flashing before your eyes' is just your brain doing a massive, very fast cataloging of your life experiences to find anything that might help with the current situation.

I've seen a few souls being reaped, it's their cinematic records. A review of their lives. Then they can determined if they deserve a second chance at life. [Even he doesn't know how often that happens though.]

Lawn mowers. Chain saws. Cinematic records. Seems like the reapers are a step or two ahead of the living. Makes me worry what reapers would have in my world.

[sweetlies]

Why wouldn't they be? [Actually, he'd never given it too much thought.] They're not exactly beholden to natural laws.

[A little shrug.] Who knows. I haven't noticed any discernible patterns for what they carry.

Hmm, maybe not laws we understand yet. In my experience, everything obeys a set of rules, even if we don't quite understand them just yet.

_{[ He shrugged and ah, here they are, at the common area with the kitchen. Kirk motions for Ciel to make himself comfortable and then went to bring down mugs. ]}

Now let's see if there's any tea...

In your experience. Very few could claim experience as a grim reaper and fewer still seem to even seem to see them.

[He doesn't sit, he'll start exploring to find tea just a little sooner.] There had better be.

Well, I can honestly say I have died once and not seen a reaper. So who knows if they even exist in my reality? Or maybe I cheated them and now I'm on their black list.

_{[ He shrugged, watching him look around. ]}

The Marsiva is usually better stocked than our little boats, at least. But I wouldn't know what to look for when it comes to tea.

[Ciel just waves his hand a little.] Clearly you were deserving of a second chance.

[He doesn't address not remembering it, having never experienced it himself. He's been severely ill and injured but never close enough to death to warrant a grim reaper paying him a visit.]

It depends, I suppose. Most tins are clearly marked or come in teabags.

More like my friends were a hell of a lot more stubborn than me.

Ships will usually have them in something more secure. Anything loose on a ship is a liability.

Maybe. [His own experiences in his world make him a little skeptical.

Maybe a bit more than a little. He can't help it, really, it's in his nature.]

Loose leaf tea holds its flavor better though.
