Who: Ciel Phantomhive & OTA
Action: Marsiva
When: Feb. 17
[Good morning, Fleet! There's a young teen with dark blue-black hair wandering the Marsiva today. He's wearing a slightly more modern twist on Victorian era clothes and his right eye is wrapped with a bandage but it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all.
What does bother him though is to wake up somewhere entirely new with little knowledge in regards. At least, little compared to what he'd prefer. Going through this once when he arrived in Riverview Quarantine had been exhausting enough, but at least the experience had left him more adjusted to the level of technology here. It's not like his little house or the phones they had given the residents of the Quarantine, but it was all manageable at the very least.
For now, he hopes to see something, someone, familiar. Either that, or he hopes to find a decent cup of tea and company that isn't entirely bothersome. And as he wanders, seeing no one familiar, he settles on the hope for tea. As long as it was strong. And maybe something sweet.]

Out of my way.
only a little sorry <3
Rather than recoiling in fear though, the part of him that was raised by a demon lashes forward and sneers out a:]
You get out of the way. The hall has plenty of room.
XD It's all good.
Insolent child, you will step aside.
[He may be stubborn and overconfident.]
oh good!
Which of us is the insolent one? The one who knows these halls and should know how to accommodate others here? Or the child who barely takes up space?

[At least he's disliking everyone equally for now?]
Do you argue with any stranger that you meet?

Kitchen
When Ciel gets closer, Taako looks up, raising an eyebrow as his long ears flick back. He's got both hands on bowls of gel paste with a third floating behind him held by a spectral hand.]
So, they're still bringing newbies in even now, huh? That seems rude.
Re: Kitchen
His eye is drawn to the floating bowl first but he's only passingly curious before his attention turns to Taako.]
I'm finding the whole situation rude. This isn't normal for this place then?
no subject
[He spins the bowls onto the counter and the third one joins it, set down gently by the spectral hand which then winks out of existence. Taako considers the gel pastes in front of him and then snaps his fingers. Time to make a tart. He starts off by grabbing some of the paste and forming it into a ball, then with a spark it changes into a juicy baking apple.]
But no, to answer your question. Usually only newbs get to be on the Marsiva- [Or the dead.] -while the rest of us are on smaller ships, waiting for you to get transferred over and disrupt our day to day with confetti and some weird ass pudding.
[Taako pulls a knife from a drawer and starts peeling the apple in one fluid single strip, spinning the fruit in his hand as he goes.]
Right now though, we're all stuck here for whatever reason waiting for night to come so we can go traipsing around in each other's minds. It's super mcfucked up. Welcome to the Fleet.
no subject
And interesting, as he watched that paste turn into an apple. It makes him miss Riverview already and their well-stocked kitchen.]
Confetti and pudding..? [That sounds absolutely ridiculous. Then again, this is the kid that hates his birthday and being dragged to parties. Something like that just doesn't appeal to him.
The last bit does get a curious look.]
Like memories?
no subject
[It could actually be good. Taako doesn't know. It isn't the same as pocket pudding though, and nowhere near as good as Paloma's baked goods or even marginally close to his baking, so it gets relegated to the bottom tier of the barrel for now.
With one apple peeled, he starts on the others, leaving the cleanly shorn fruit sitting on a cutting board.]
And bingo, got it in one. See that timer over there?
[He tips his head toward the timer prominently displayed on the screen in a place of honor above everyone, steadily ticking down toward zero.]
We all do a blackout when that hits the end and then you'll have the fun of wading through people's minds, picking up junk and then getting treated to the world's--universe's? Uh, this planar reality's biggest invasion of privacy ever.

Hi! I'm Sora! [He introduces himself with a genuine smile.]
You look new? Did you need help getting around?
no subject
Ah- hello. I'm Ciel. [He makes himself smile, despite the situation.]
I am. And I probably do. I was hoping to find some tea.
no subject
Yeah I get it. And tea huh? I bet we could find some at a restaurant. I can walk you to the nearest one?
no subject
I'd appreciate that, actually. So long as it doesn't take you away from anything.
no subject
Come on, it's this way. [And they start walking together in the direction of a place they can get some food.]
There's a few bars on this ship too, but... Those are probably for people who can drink.

He waits until the newcomer has his tea.]
When did you arrive?
no subject
And he definitely appreciates that he's given the chance to get tea first. It helps, it makes him feel just the tiniest bit in control. Even if he knows he has none.]
Perhaps an hour ago? I haven't kept track, honestly.

You looking for someone?
no subject
Jim isn't quite wrong when he speaks up, but it's something rather than someone. Ciel still answers with a shake of his head though.]
I doubt I'll find anyone familiar here, I'm hardly so lucky. I was hoping to find somewhere with tea.
no subject
Always tea with you Brits.
[ He shook his head, but he motioned for Ciel to fall in and walk with him. ]
Best bet is the kitchen, though I can't guarantee on the quality of anything there in regards to tea. I'm a coffee man myself.
no subject
It's better than coffee. You don't have to add so much cream or sugar to fight the bitterness. [He'll fight you, Kirk.]
no subject
[ He looks down at the teen and chuckles. ]
I take my coffee dark, actually. I always imagined sugar in tea was to fight blandness.
[ American versus British, game on. ]
Once we get back to the main ships, you should visit Biffy’s salon. He’ll probably have something like that you’re looking for.
