Oh, well we don't have a lab. The closest we have is an engineer. That's Hux.

Oh, dear. I do hope there aren't many injuries what occur often there. I've heard we can't die here, but still, better safe than sorry. But I suppose you can always take the injured to another ship, but what a bother.

My magic isn't as strong here as it was back home, but I can make it so we can get someone to another ship if we need.

Magic, is it? That's unusual. Most people I've known haven't called it that. What is this magic you mean? Is it like that fairy tale, cast a spell and whatnot?

Yeah! It's pretty much exactly like that.

Oh? So you can... heal people, make them better. How do you do it? In those stories, the people say words and wave magic wands around. Is that what you do to make the magic happen?

Uh... I say a spell yeah? Usually I'd use my keyblade, but it's not as easy to call it here.

That's right! Keyblades are made from a person's heart, and they strengthen your connection to it. That's where the magic comes from.

[So definitely something from the boy's own world.] That doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard of, in any world I've been in. Must be something unique to your own. So many interesting places out there.

My home reality has more than one.

Worlds, eh? I knew a few people who were from places like this who used to travel all over the universe in ships not too unlike these, I suppose. Is that anything like your world, one of those space-going types?

Well, the gummi ship I use is kinda like these ones? But also really different?

Oh? Please, go on. This whole spacefaring business is quite fascinating. You must understand, in my world, we still use quill and paper to send messages. The information forced on us isn't nearly the same as the experience of it. [Never mind that he's on one of those ships right now.]

A lot of the worlds I went to are like that too, I get it. A lot of my friends from those worlds would probably be totally blown away if they knew the truth of where I came from and how I got there.

Back home, we tend not to tell people that kind of stuff because we have to protect world order. It's taken some getting used to, and then I come here and everyone knows about space travel. Then that took some getting used too all on it's own!

And at least for me had the basic idea down, I imagine for you it was a shock!

Ah, so you weren't truly a visitor, more a shadow in those worlds. Up until my time in Riverview, I hadn't heard of such a thing, but no one there seemed to mind letting on to who they were and what they were doing there. The natives made no secret of it - it was their own fault we were there. That was the real shock, to find other worlds even existed, not just make believe stories.

What's Riverview?

Ah, well then... Riverview is the name of a town where I was brought to before this place. They were people who were playing with technology they didn't understand and it reached out to other worlds and brought other people into their world. We were all just waiting to go home, but here I am. And a boy I know came with me.

Maybe not exactly like this, but something close to it. There were people I knew in Riverview who could tell me about worlds I'd never seen before, not because it was their own, but because they'd traveled there within their own universe. They know what the stars hold, some of them. Isn't that fascinating?

Everything about this kind of place is. I travelled other worlds, but I didn't see stuff like what others have told me about. All of it is kind of crazy.

The only thing I really miss are my friends. I usually travel around with some of them, and it's weird not having them around.
