[Not much has changed on the Twin Roses since their stay on the Marsiva. No crew changes. No promotions or downgrades, although Vash is no longer co-captain, but rather first mate, in case anyone missed it and Krolia is still somewhat new among their ranks.

There aren’t even any stale donuts lying around which also means the plants in the garden and pets are thriving and their food stocks are still going strong. Yep, just totally normal stuff after being gone over a month! And probably no weird things to talk about after seeing each other’s memories. Business as usual here!

Also, there was the part where they attacked the Marsiva afterward for a hot minute. Just another normal day in the life of the fleet.]

The Vision - Action, OTA

[In the first few minutes after they arrive on the ship, the Vision hastens to use their laser cannon to shoot at the Marsiva. While he's leery of hurting the potential consciousness inside, he also recognizes it as a unique opportunity, and knows they must awaken it somehow. Perhaps this can be the equivalent of slapping it awake.

After, he quickly inspects the ship and his Engineering segment. Everything seems to be all right, but he'll do an in-depth check a little later. For now, he disappears into his room and isn't to be seen or heard from for the next day. All calls to his communicator are redirected to Kitty during this timeframe - and, since he's asked several people to check in, it might be getting some significant traffic. Sorry, Captain.

Once that's taken care of, though, he's back, in a good mood, and found all over the place, inspecting everything from his plants to his fish to the general facilities and food stores. He'll strike up conversation with crew and visitors alike, if they approach him.]

[For the most Remy has turned a blind eye to those who had tried having a go at their oh so lovely hosts and their ships, to ignore those that had tried to attack them in the past. Hell, he gets it in a way, in his early days here he use to pull parts of the interiors apart, trying to find those supposed cameras before settling in and just living here. But this... this was well beyond what he expected to happen. Let alone from the very ship he was on.

Racing through the hallways to find out where and who had set off the Twin Roses' attack, he stand stunned in the doorway for a moment before barking out violently.] What the fuck do ya think ya doin'?! [Swearing in English was rare for Remy, even with their translators he had always seemed to get his use of French mix across, maybe because it was his normal speech pattern. But this? This was unusual, as was the heat in his voice, that bite behind it. Remy LeBeau very rarely got angry, despite everything he's gone through. Sorry Vision, just seems you're the target for it at this moment.]

[The Vision appears calm, though he's scowling to himself as he runs their cannon through its cool-down process. It's true that he hadn't exactly discussed this with anyone ahead of time, but there hadn't been much room to do so, either. He looks up and nods, having half expected someone to react like that. His voice is clipped and harsh, not like his usual soothing tones.]

Expressing my displeasure at being forced to relive my worst memories every night for the past month.

[cajunspice]

[The tone and answer he got back stopped Remy in his tracks, mouth hanging over as his brain caught up to fill in the words to answer.] By firin' on the people who be keepin' us alive here?!

I though ya were suppose to be the smart one here! [And while he doesn't mean to, really doesn't, those raised tempers were having effects on Remy's mutation, loosening his hold he normally had on it as energy he held back started to show more, an extra glow to his eyes making them appear pure red. He had kept really quiet on them, not told anyone how he was battling with them. It was easier than making people worry, to let them know they were living with a bomb that might go off at any time. Remy had it under control, he used each planet they had to burn off as much energy as he could.

And worse case, he would just take himself out first before hurting anyone else on board. Better a small bang than a big one.]

[Irritated himself, the Vision pauses for a moment as Remy's eyes go red. It's eerily similar to the way Wanda's powers infuse her eyes when she's overusing them, and he realizes he has to tread perhaps more carefully here than otherwise; energy can hurt him even if he phases, and he doesn't know how similar Remy's is to Wanda's.

Wanda's power could destroy him.

So he closes his eyes for a brief moment to try and let go of the irritation, let go of everything but his usual serenity, and it helps a little when he opens them back up. He holds up his hands in a gesture of peace.]

I fired a hull shot unlikely to do any damage to essential systems and well clear of the interior where any living creatures may be located. Moreover, I have it on very good authority that it can repair itself in a matter of instants; I'd be surprised if it isn't already fixed.

[And then, quietly but still unable to suppress his anger entirely, he adds] They're our jailers, Remy. Not our saviors.

[What the- how did that make it better?!] 'nd ya go pokin' a 'gator in the side 'nd it's still goin' to try takin' ya arm off! [Just- how does Vision not get that?! Or any of the others! Don't think Remy hadn't noticed other ships doing it too. It had been bad enough the previous time Thor and the others had a go at the ship. Remy had bit his tongue then, not said anything, despite being unhappy about their actions.

This was totally different.]

Not everyone has a place to go back to, not everyone wants to leave, or did ya forget that?! What if they decide this be too big 'nd just wipe the lot of us?! Even if they bothered sendin' us back in the first place! [He didn't want to hurt Vision, really he didn't, and Remy was trying to keep a real tight grip on his powers during this heightened level of emotions. The fact he was beyond needing physical contact to use his powers, the fact he could do it on sight alone, it was dangerous. Very dangerous. Remy knew it. And the last thing he wanted to do was hurt anyone on board.]

[His eyes narrow and, dangerously, the Mind Stone begins to look less inert. It's not glowing brightly just yet, but it's apparently stirring. His voice goes soft, cold.]

Forget? All I have done lately is remember who they have taken from us, and at what cost. [He gestures jerkily in the direction of the Marsiva, concealed though it is currently by the ship's hull now that the targeting system is off.] I have a life and a happiness here I have been denied in my own home. I've found joy and I've found sorrow, and every moment of it has been overseen by a force that takes away the most precious bonds we form--and they openly admit it is for their amusement.

[He crosses his arms, focused and defiant.]

It is not in my nature to be content as a captive, subject to the capricious whims of an uncaring master. I was created to fight injustice, not to bow to it. I've stood idly by long enough.

[Though Vision's stance was doing nothing but riling Remy's temper up more, his words were able to penetrate further, push past that, and resulting in a long sigh. It was still a heated one, one that was filled with annoyance and anger. But also something else, something even Remy couldn't even put his finger on immediately. It was almost like dealing with the X-Kids again, with how they saw the world. How they expected if they fought hard and long enough they would win, that they could right all wrongs, and that good always won.

They were naive.

Another sigh, more a heavily controlled exhale than before, Remy forced himself to be silent for a long moment before he made himself less threatening, less looking like he wanted to grab Vision and throttle him. He didn't lose that glow in his eyes though, didn't try and control it just yet. He needed to burn off some of that energy the anger had brought out, it was too much to try and draw back in and he would rather keep himself in one piece right now. Literally.]

Everything ain't that black 'nd white. [For all of what just happened, there was still a hint of anger that was in his tone, but mostly it just sounded tired. And made him feel old.]

[The instant that Remy's posture backs down from aggresive, the Vision's does as well. It's still defensive, no mistake there, but he's not going to try to initiate another fight. Firing on the Marsiva is enough for now.]

I'm well aware of that. Otherwise I would have fired for essential systems or directly into the heart of the ship, rather than along its hull. [His voice still sounds snappier than it should, so he takes two deep breaths, trying to calm himself, and when he continues it's close to his usual calm tone. Not quite there, but closer.] I am sorry that my actions upset you. There was insufficient time to reach a consensus before the opportunity passed.

[cajunspice]

[Remy actually gets that, that if there is a time window and no other option, you take it. But with this? Leaning a shoulder against the door frame, he lifted his hand, rubbing it across his face.]

Look, I get ya did what ya think be right, just... we are their prisoners, which means they got control here. What happens if they think we push this too far, that they decide we too much trouble? [Dropping his hand to look to Vision.] I don't wanna go home, even if that means playin' 'long. I ain't willin' to risk that.

And if we don't push at all? How much farther do you think they will abuse us, in that case?

[His voice is quiet now, and he looks like he's focusing on something else.]

I would prefer to stay here, myself. And I'm well aware that some we hold dear have nothing to go back to. [His gaze sharpens, becomes hard and focused again.] But that need not mean we accept the terms they have given us.

[cajunspice]

'd hate to think what ya think be a punch if firin' on them be just a push. [Though, Vision had just hit them on the side. Remy wasn't sure if the other ships had been so selective...

And at the end of this all,] Look, I get this was a time restraint, but... this be something we need to talk 'bout with everyone here, before it has to happen again, make sure everyone be on the same page as this. If they be, then 'll go 'long with it, but I think if we goin' to put our necks on the line for this, we all have to agree on it.

[Then a moment to look down at his feet before back to Vision. He wasn't too prideful to know he was partly in the wrong as well.] Sorry I went off at ya like that.

[He raises his brow at the first part, but holds off on giving a more thorough and detailed explanation. It's obvious to him how he would have proceeded...but then, he's spent a disproportionate amount of his life fighting, against what many would consider impossible odds.

Gaze still narrowed, he nonetheless nods once, quickly, in response.]

That is a fair request. I won't act against the Atroma again until we've had a ship-wide meeting on the subject; I'd prefer it if we could wait to have this discussion until we reach another system, as I suspect the ships are thoroughly monitored.

[The planets might be, too, for all they know, but it would at least give them the illusion of privacy. And if something urgent comes up between now and then? The ship's weapons aren't the only ones in his arsenal. The last few years have taught him nothing if not how to ride the letter of the law.

The apology has an odd effect: his eyes go flat, as does his tone.] It is to be expected when confronted with something outside one's comfort zone. But you would perhaps do well to examine why being complicit in their schemes is comfortable to you.

[With that he'll leave, phasing back through the wall the way he came.]

[Yeah, Remy's not going to bother pointing out the flaw in that, if they really are part of a show there was a good chance they were always 'on camera', so privacy was not a luxury they really had. Though he nodded along to show he agreed with Vision.] I can work with that.

[The next part however, he did not expect at all, brows going up as Vision excused himself from the room and leaving Remy there, speechless for a long moment. Then a huff of a breath. It spiked that anger back up in Remy again, both for him just leaving like that, but also at that parting shot. Then again, not like Remy has talked about his past with Vision, or anyone really here...] Hey, yeah, I accept ya apology for lookin' like ya were goin' to blast me too. Glad we could sort it out. [Heavy with sarcasm and saying it to empty air as he mumbled a few words out in frustration before moving on with a sigh, for now at least. He will have to bring it up with Vision again later.]
