[Not much has changed on the Twin Roses since their stay on the Marsiva. No crew changes. No promotions or downgrades, although Vash is no longer co-captain, but rather first mate, in case anyone missed it and Krolia is still somewhat new among their ranks.

There aren’t even any stale donuts lying around which also means the plants in the garden and pets are thriving and their food stocks are still going strong. Yep, just totally normal stuff after being gone over a month! And probably no weird things to talk about after seeing each other’s memories. Business as usual here!

Also, there was the part where they attacked the Marsiva afterward for a hot minute. Just another normal day in the life of the fleet.]

I think so. I haven't spoken with him to confirm. [He sits cross-legged on the floor instead and uses a chair as a backrest. The chairs can't fool him, he knows they're not comfortable.] Eh... the commander outranks me, and he and the captain are also very close friends. It's reasonable for the captain to prefer him as first mate. I would have stepped down if I had not been transferred.

This place is more than ships and rank though. That was your crew. [She's not scolding him. She's worried. Did it not feel important to stay? Did he feel unwanted? Maybe she should ask more of these out loud.]

Maybe he should be putting in for a transfer back and maybe he should be more proactive about tracking down Spock or talking to Kirk. But.] Kitty... this is terrible to say, but I'm tired of finding members of my crew, not being who they expect me to be, and then losing them again... and I also don't want to be reminded that, of our senior crew, I am maybe the last one that the captain would choose to be trapped in a prison universe with.

You've been through a lot. Have you ever talked to Kirk or the other Kirk about how many of them have come and gone while you've been around?

No more than anyone else here. [And less than some, but no naming names.] I mentioned that I had found them before. Maybe I neglected to say that they are the fifth and sixth...

I guess it's tricky to open up and have a heart to heart with them when the problem is that you don't feel like you can open up and have a heart to heart, huh?

You understand the situation very well. [If only the Kirks were the only ones he was having an issue opening up to.] Too well. I'm sorry that I have less than open with you.

You know, I wasn't talking about me, but yeah, we could talk about that too. The no more elephants policy? Do you remember?

Which means...I guess I should ask if you really meant it when you mentioned you would have picked here if you were picking where to transfer?

If I could have picked, I wouldn't have transferred unless I was needed on another ship.

But I wouldn't have minded being here. Of course I would have asked if you and Vash would be fine if I transferred.

I always wanted you on this ship. But, you know, only if it would be okay for you. I know we both come down firmly against a lot of space but I'm not sure where we stand on a little space. Do you have friends on the new ship?

[He looks a little surprised to hear that she wants him on the ship. Since he does have the sense to know that he shouldn't be surprised, however, he doesn't comment on that.]

Kaname and Prompto. I hope that there will be others if I stay.

Hmm...actually, they sound like good company for you. [Probably better company than a ship full of spies, assassins, and thieves? Though she knows he has friends here too. Not just herself.] And you seem like the kind of person everyone would like.

I think they are. [Although he has more friends on the Twin Roses. Spies, assassins, and thieves are some of his favorite people.] Maybe not like, but I've been told that I'm eminently tolerable.

Commander Spock. It was the greatest compliment any version of him has given me, so I treasure it.

The one who's here or the one from home or someone in between?

The first one that I met in the City. I haven't spoken with the one who is here now, but I hope that he has a similar opinion of me.
