[The frowning face of Kolivan appears on the screen. He looks generally unhappy but anyone who knows him is aware that this is literally just his default expression. There's nothing unusual to see here.]

It would appear that the captain of the Goldstone has departed this fleet. I am Kolivan, its new captain. Should you have questions then you can bring them to me.

[A pause and then...]

Members of my crew. I want reports for your stations by the end of the day. There is no First Mate on this ship so I will take them.

[And that's the end. He just ends the transmission there.]


Goldstone

[Kolivan can be found taking note of what the ship has and what it requires in terms of supplies. It's really impossible to miss him honestly. Being the towering figure he is and the way he needs to bend down to move through halls and doors... Well, it's basically not going to be hard to find him or run into him.

Just please don't do so literally. He's very solid and it will hurt.

I don't allow for unreliable behavior when I am in charge.

Do you have any specific security concerns that I should look into or shall I return to general duties in that area for now?

I feel that we are at a disadvantage if we are attacked. We have no visual means of being alerted to an attack. I believe we should look into having video surveillance installed in this ship to combat that weakness.

[generalgrievous]

I shall look into it.

The technology here... is different to that I am accustomed to. Do you know the best places to acquire such surveillance equipment?

[He hates that he has to ask but he also doesn't want to needlessly flounder around while he continues to adjust to life on board the fleet. Better to lose a little pride for the sake of efficiency.]

Based on what I have been researching, they will need to be built. By an Engineering Officer and a Communications Officer.

[They're currently lacking one of those.]

We do not currently have a Communications Officer. That will require communication with another ship.

Do you think they can be trusted if I put a communication out to those stationed on other ships? Or is there one in particular that you trust?

I am not familiar with anyone with that augment. However, we can sort through those who respond to see who they are familiar with in order to determine if they can be trusted.

I can do that and also speak to our Engineering Officer. Do you have their name?
